I recently came here to look at some Halloween decorations and will be back for Christmas decorations as soon as I get decorating to see what I have and want. I came here and fell in love and I fell hard. They have everything I may ever want or need for my apartment. There are tons of home décor items as well as tons of craft items. You can also get amazing holiday decorations. They variety is massive since the store is massive. You can seriously get just about anything you may need. A lot of items seemed to be on sale. I do not know if they take any coupons but I didn’t really care to look for any. The prices were what I would expect. I will certainly be coming back here. I loved the variety and everything they offer.

LOVELOVELOVEHOBBYLOBBY! The Rochester area has numerous craft stores: JoAnn Fabrics(a stone’s throw from Hobby Lobby, in the Webster Target plaza), Michaels, AC Moore, Dan’s Crafts and Things… Hobby Lobby is my FAVORITE! This craft store is HUGE! They are in the old Chase Pitkins store. There is so much to look at. I could wander around the store for HOURS! Like another Unilocaler said, practically everything is on sale, pretty much all the time(30%-50% off). I do have the Hobby Lobby app(recommended!!) so I have a 40% off coupon on me at all times, just in case I need something that is not on sale. NOTE: THEYWILLNOTACCEPTCOMPETITORSCOUPONSLIKEOTHERCRAFTSSTORESDO — so get the app! And only one coupon can be used at a time. I have made the mistake of going to JoAnn’s PRIOR to going to Hobby Lobby and spending more money at JoAnn’s. I find most things at Hobby Lobby a little cheaper. Now I will check out Hobby Lobby first. I also find they have a more unique selection. Things you will not find at other craft stores in the area and their fabrics are very high quality. Not sure how Webster, Ny got so LUCKY with having this crafting-lovers-GEM-of-a-store. It’s awesome! I did all my own wedding decorations and saved so much money!!! I do hate when I hear rumors about this Christian-based store closing due to the government wanting to dictate their health insurance policy and make it mandatory to offer birth control.(I would seriously cry if they closed!!!) Oh yeah, another aspect of their Christian values is being closed on Sundays. No big deal in my book. It’s nice that they give their employees and day of rest and time with their families.

I love that Hobby Lobby opens at 9am, because I was in need of a few supplies for a tutoring session at 9:30. Hobby Lobby saved the day with kite and glider kits that I used for my lesson. They also had a variety of other interesting kits that piqued my interest. I ended up buying more than I planned on, but they will all get put to use. I like their large assortment of home décor items and I may be back soon because a few items caught my eye. And their associates were so kind and helpful.

We made the trip across the bay to get an idea of the pricing for fabric. I’m still not sure where to get the best priced fabric, but Hobby Lobby does have a good selection of upholstery fabric at what seemed to be decent prices as they’re all on sale. I’ve been here a couple months ago and it seems everything is pretty much always on sale, or you can use a coupon for 40% on a regular priced item. Seems to be the schtick at craft stores. What separates Hobby Lobby from their competitors is their home goods. JoAnn’s will occasionally have a small bookcase or patio set, Michaels might have some seasonal wall art, I’ve only darted through A.C. Moore for paint twice but I didn’t see much to compare to the fairly diverse selection of tables, trunks, clocks, shelves, lamps, and the ridiculous amount of nick-nacks that Hobby Lobby has to offer. Again, everything is on sale(30−50% off) or you can use that coupon(google it from your phone, they just punch in the code). A 16×16 or so typographical painting(you know, art that’s really just words painted in a pretty way) will be around $ 50 before the discount. If you’re looking to do up a boy’s room(or a man cave) in a particular theme, this is definitely a must-visit store. They’ve got lamps made of football helmets, clock motorcycles, fishing boat key holders, shelves fashioned to resemble baseball bats, and die-cast models of a good many classic cars and trucks. The girly offerings aren’t lacking, either, though my son was not interested in browsing these aisles so we moved on. I did note a colorful(and sorted *by* color) selection of ceramic vases, frames in a great many different sizes and shapes, as well as mirrors in just about any decorating style. I can’t imagine not being able to find something that would fill that awkward empty space on your entryway wall, whether your tastes are practical or ornate. Fake flowers, colorful candles, acrylic paints, and multiple aisles of scrapbooking stickers(or, as I call them, «play with these farm animals while we shop» stickers) can be found but in similar quantity to the other craft stores. Their clothing fabric and yarn selection seems much smaller than JoAnn’s, while their paints, canvases, and brushes are equal in price and variety to Michael’s. If your needs are supplies, I wouldn’t make a special effort to get to this store. However, if you’re looking for décor inspiration, I would highly suggest a visit.
