Update: I spoke to Michael Carrier and he was the only one that kmows what he is talking about. He agreed to cancel for me as long as I give them a doctors note. Be careful of the new employees that tell you that cancellation can happen at any time… you have to make 12 payments of 59.99 before you can cancel. Thank you to Michael for working with me and being reasonable. I had a good experience with them up until I got back surgery and needed to stop getting massages. They flat out lie about the membership terms. I was told I can cancel at any time, and so I cancelled when I got back surgery because I can’t get a massage. I was then told I can’t cancel for a year but I can freeze it. So I froze it and they STILL charged me. What part of I GOT A TUMORREMOVEDFROMMYBACKANDCAN’T GET A MASSAGE do you NOT comprehend? I was told I’d get a call back and never did. I was told I would get a refund and didn’t. Buyer beware… once you’re in, you can’t cancel.

Great customer service, experienced therapists(as with every place, you need to find who specializes in what you need and make sure they can do the pressure you are looking for). I have had 3 different therapists who specialize in my tight piriformis muscle/back pain/and TMJ. They are all very knowledgeable, and suggest stretches and things I can do at home to help. Very thankful I found them! PS — I have been to many massage envys between here and austin; this is by far the best location in my book.

I have gotten 3 massages at this location. Today was my last! The first two massages were fine except the massage therapists wouldn’t stop talking during the massage. The one today set me over the edge. My appointment for a NINETY minute massage was at 5:30. I got there at 5:25 and they took me back fairly quickly. The front desk staff were also quite nice. Other times they have seemed fake. Anyway, I go back to the room and tell the guy that I need back, shoulders, neck the most but asked if he could also massage my arms extra time because they were really sore. He said sure and was quite nice. He kept yapping on and on and I had no idea that that time was being charged to my 90 minute session. He knew this so I am not clear why he kept up a conversation for 10 minutes. He ended up starting at 5:45 and finished at 7:00 without even touching my arms. When I rolled over on my back he did nothing but rub my neck a little and then said ‘ok, we’re done.’ I was like ‘what?’ and he was apologetic — yeah blah blah for future reference, blahblahblah. I will NEVER go back to this location. I complained to the front desk and at least they were apologetic but I highly doubt anything will get done. I should have known better than to join a franchise. There are TONS of other independent massage places in the Clear Lake area. Stay away from this one.

Really? There is nothing to envy here, folks. I have never seen such a lengthy«application/survey» before. I have gotten better and more effective massages from other places for much cheaper. The ladies who checked me out were very annoying and really didn’t know how to pick up on nonverbal cues as to when to stop talking. I know that they work there and are trying to seek you a membership, but for goodness sakes. If someone isn’t happy with the services and politely says no, drop it.

I have been a member at this location for almost two years and it is worth every penny! As long as I’ve been a member I have never had a problem with my membership or massages. The manager Austin and front desk staff are always so friendly. The therapist are amazing as well. I look forward to my massage every month and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

I cancelled my membership after a number of problems at the Clear Lake location. It started when the girl in the front charged my sister’s massage to my card, even though she used her card to pay for the oil she bought at the same time. Then, I cancelled two appointments before the required 24hr notice was up and the girls in the front did not put them in the computer so I lost 2 hours of massages I paid for. Next, when i went to cancel my membership about April 19th, the manager, Austin, thought it would be smart to begin yelling at me in the front of the store saying that I never called and I was lying. I found it very unprofessional and disrespectful. When I signed the cancelation paper, Austin and Keyosha said I would be charged a $ 30 fee and it would be over. But, they charged me $ 59.99. When I first signed up for the membership I was very happy with my experiences there and referred multiple people and got 3 to sign up for a membership. I never received any of the 30 minutes free for any of the people I referred either. At this point, I wish I hadn’t referred them. I will never go back to that location, and it would take a lot for me to go to any other location again.

Right after I left Massage Envy in Clear Lake, I realized I had left my expensive earrings in the room. It was only 15 minutes after my massage had ended. When I called, they were not able to find them. They did not seem that concerned about the fact that it had only been a few minutes after my massage, so how many people could have been in the room? I decided not to return to this place, even thought it was my fault that I left the earrings. I was shocked that they could not be located.

My husband and I were loyal members for NINE years at this Massage Envy. In May of 2014 husband Hand Carried a letter to cancel said memberships. It has been 10 months and they are still calling and sending bills. I have talked to numerous employees at this location and today we visited them in person. Still they will not cancel and leave us alone. Beware. According to the contract the easiest way to cancel is Upon Death. Read the fine print before ever even considering this chain. Apparently good customers are not wanted here. The lack of professionalism and customer concern is zero.

Great therapists … Though it seems the best don’t stick around, in my experience. My understanding is the best find better places to work having talked to one who left and stated its not the best place for a really good massage therapist to work. The front desk is very challenging to deal with and the reason I cancelled my membership after 18 months or so. Oh and don’t try to cancel over the phone — they force you to come in and fill out a paper form then if you have any sessions left, no matter how many or if there are any appointments available, they expire in 30 days and you loose them if not used. Check the many consumer complaints on this company and then proceed with caution. You can just not get the level of quality you get from a high end spa here. I guess you get what you pay for.

I was a complete newbie when it came to massages. I was very nervous going in for my first time. I sat down, and began filling out the first time paper work. Nothing to serious, along the same lines as going to an optometrist for the first time. The ladies at the front desk where on point, no hiccups with my appointment time. They then lead me to their«tranquility room», basically a waiting room wit dim lighting, and music. They brought me water, made sure I was comfortable. The music was very relaxing, the fruit infused water is delicious. Then my masseuse came and got me, lead me to the room where the massage would take place. She asked general questions about my health, and what I was looking for in a massage. She left the room while I stripped down, and got under the blankets. It was a very pleasant experience. After my session the front desk was a little pushy with asking me to sign up for a monthly membership, kinda killed my buzz. But, after listening to what they had to say, and looking over the price discounts for members, I realized it definitely was the way to go. So far my favorite masseuse is Dana, she is an absolute delight. I’ve had 6 sessions with her. During the first one, she took the pains to memorize my name, and always has a ready smile. She is a real joy to be around, and I leave every session feeling renewed. I originally planned on 1 – 2 sessions a month, but with the membership discounts, and the wonderful care from Dana, I go every weekend. The massage really helps my muscles relax after a week of desk jockeying, and working out/running.

I simply wanted to purchase a gift card for my mom for Mother’s Day… I live out of town and wanted to purchase a specific special that was only available at this location. Even after emailing the manager and her stating in the email that I could purchase over the phone they retracted and said I needed to come in to purchase. This site was not accommodating to let me pay over the phone. I’m just confused about why a business would rather not make money.
