I ordered a Southwest chicken Cobb salad-no tortillas-to go. Got it, went back to my office and tried the guacamole. Really spicy for guac, it went in the round file. I ordered honey mustard in place of the chipotle ranch dressing, and it was Really spicy. Spicy honey mustard dressing? Ick! I was trying to figure out what was so spicy in the salad and my co-worker looked at the honey mustard dressing… you could see little red flecks of red(cayenne?) throughout the container. Don’t know what’s going on here, but someone needs to taste the honey mustard dressing! My entire lunch met the same fate as the guacamole.

Big difference between Friday at noon and Saturday evening. Friday lunch was great sandwich and soup excellent. Saturday evening, not so good. I had to get one of the workers to wet down a napkin for me to wipe the table. Spud was barely warm and old… skin was like a chewy chip. So I know when to go and not to go.

Called in my order, lady was nice. Told me it would take 15 mins. Get to the store about 20 minutes after placing my order. Order is no where to be found, than want to charge me extra for soup that was not extra when I called in my order. You would think they would try to compensate something since they lost my order, but they did not. Manager tried to bribe me with a brownie, but at this point I was just irritated that I had to wait extra and had to pay extra. Food was made maybe within 5 minutes hopefully they got it correct.

McAlister’s is our go-to sandwich stop because they have so many lighter options and give good portions for the price. This particular restaurant is a definite four stars because they are clean and dish out tasty versions almost every time we order. The staff is friendly most of the time and always comes around to ask if we need refills or clear our table if we are talking after we finish. Our usual orders consist of the McAlister’s Club for a lighter sandwich with a fresh flavor or the French Dip for a heavier option. They have several sides to choose but we swear by their mustard potato salad and mac and cheese. Lastly, we can’t say enough about their tea – it really is famous! We are a house divided and regularly enjoy their sweet and unsweet versions, so there is something for everyone! We recently tried their spuds, which are large and full of cheese! We also have their nachos a go with veggie chili. I couldn’t taste that it wasn’t meat chili and the jalapeños were fresh and juicy. The Rotel definitely added spice, so order well! For weekends, you will want to get there early: the line is out the door and there are no tables on Sunday’s after 12:00. Evening is usually split so tables are often available.

I eat here way too often. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu. My favorite is the chef salad, its always fresh and delicious. Also the french dip and the horseradish roast beef sandwich are excellent. Oh, and don’t forget to get a massive sweet tea. Although the line is very long during lunch, it moves quickly. The staff is always kind and greets me with a smile.

To Go needs a pick up spot always! What is the point of taking call in orders to go if the customer then has to come in and stand in the long line of customers dining in to pick up the to go order?

We had great service on Saturday night when our group of 26 people stopped in. They had a good strategy to get the orders in quickly for an bunch of hungry teenagers. Food was delicious too.

I moved to spring so I haven’t been here in 9 months. Well these past two months I’ve been helping out at my old job in Webster so I make sure to eat here at least once a week! Their sweet tea is my weakness. Sometimes I come in just to order the tea! The customer service never fails me! Everyone is so quick to help you and they greet you the second you walk through the door… It’s never dirty and I actually love that they have a tv in there now, usually on hgtv to keep me entertained when I’m there eating alone. I just make sure to avoid coming around noon. They’re always slammed during lunch hour! That must tell you something about their food :)

Their«adult» grilled cheese is delish! I love every soup I try there. The Mac-n-cheese & potato salad taste just like my Mom’s, homemade! I also love their peach sweet tea & free refills!

Food was mediocre. I got a choose 2. Muffuletta and loaded spud. The muffuletta was all bread and had very little olive salad, cheese, and meat in it. The loaded spud was good but the sour cream looked and tasted like it had been sitting out all day. Service was quick, but the cashier looked tired or annoyed. Probably just tired though. He could have used some sweet tea(which is excellent btw).

Went very hungry after watching Poltergeist. They did not disappoint! Split a french dip and an Italian sandwich. My bf got the chicken and dumplings and I chose potato salad for my side. Both sandwiches were really tasty and presented well, it looked good. The meat, cheese bread and vegetable ratios were spot on, to the very last bites. The soup and side were not bad my pot sal complimented my sandwich halves nicely. When paying we did have some trouble redeeming our gift card(???) but the manager took care of it right away so it was a non-issue. The place was super clean and while not busy when we arrived, quickly began filling up. I appreciate the layout of the dining area as it allows for some privacy. If you like that sort of thing. The main reason I’m writing this review is to highlight the staff. Mostly young adults, they were very courteous! WTG McCallisters@Webster! During our meal we were checked on twice and they even took my bf’s plate and soup dish when he finished his meal before me. Im not used to such hospitality at a sandwich shop let alone from young adults. I will go back sure, looking at that hot brown, yum. I’m hungry again. Le sigh.

We’ve went here a few times after it first opened trying to find something we liked. Everything was bland, so we haven’t been back for quite a while. We arrived early and there was only one other customer, yet the music was playing so loud we could barely hear each other. [begin aside]Why do ALL restaurants nowadays have music? It drives up the overall volume, it’s annoying and make it hard to talk. There are many restaurants where the sound level would be okay if it weren’t for the music. Maybe people today don’t talk to each other, they either text them across the table or just become engrossed in their phone. Is that a cause or effect of the music?[end aside] My stomach was upset today so I wanted something bland. We got the Club Wrap which fit the bill. Oh yes, and their Wi-Fi wasn’t working. ___ We’ve Eaten Out Every Meal for more than 25 years

Ugh. Ordered our food and then found out there was no air conditioning or fans or opened doors to give a breath of air. I asked them to turn on the fans they had behind the counter and they just smiled. Too bad I went for the soup. Got a pick two – or choose two – as they name it. If youre not going to toast the bread on a club sandwich at least make the bread fresh since the meat and toppings were almost nonexistent. I had a dried bread sandwich. The broccoli cheddar soup was good but I will go to Panera for my pick two next time as it also includes a side.

The last time I went to McAlister’s Deli that was when I used to live in Mississippi. I swear I didn’t know Texas had one until I saw this location near my house. This place was packed with kids running all over the walls, parents screaming at their kids, and people who love to stare at you. The cashier had a sarcastic attitude and acted as if he didn’t wanna be there. Now, the food was pretty decent except it isn’t cheap. The sandwiches were $ 7+; for two people my total was about $ 20. I ordered the Sweet Chipotle Chicken sandwich and wow it was amazingly good. As I bit into it, I could taste a tangy sweet sauce blended with chicken breast pieces, oh and the bread was soft. My significant other ordered a chicken salad sandwich and he said that it was delicious too. Our sides were mustard potato salad and mashed potatoes. My mustard potato salad tasted like it was store bought. I am pretty sure it was store bought and I don’t mind about that. There really wasn’t anywhere to sit unless you really wanna sit near some rude kids and their obnoxious parents, so my significant other and I sat at the back table near the restroom. It really wouldn’t have been my first choice, but I didn’t really have a choice. The guy who brought us our food said, «Wow, its nice that yall were able to find seating.» The cookies are pretty good and they big too. I really can’t say that I will be back. Just the fact that this place was packed with noisy kids really turned me off. I might just stick to the one in Mississippi where most of my high school peeps work at.

Somehow I missed the memo that McAlister’s has restaurants in the Houston area. I stopped by after work for dinner. I placed an order online. The pick up time was 20 minutes after I placed the order. I have to say, the online order form is pretty awesome. There’s options to add or take off items. It even gives you the option of lemon or no lemon with your iced tea. I arrived right at the pick up time and my order was ready. The food here never disappoints. Unfortunately I was a little disappointed with the service. The staff was friendly, but when I picked up my order, they forgot to put the cookie in the bag. Luckily I checked the bag before I drove away. I went back in to get one and the employee stated that most people just grab the cookie themselves when they pick up to go orders. That’s great, but it seems easier to just put the cookie in there. Or if I have to grab the cookie, tell me that when you hand me the bag so I don’t walk out without it. I’m so glad I caught that before I drove off, or else I would have been mad. The cookies are $ 1 which I feel is a bit pricey, but they are pretty big, so it’s like getting two medium sized cookies. I ordered the Heath crunch cookie and it was good. The main reason why I knocked off two stars is because my sandwich had jalapenos on it and I cannot do spicy food. I ordered a turkey melt. I added red onions and switched the spicy mustard for honey mustard. I had potato salad for the side. The food was very good, and the first few bites were incredible. Then I bit into something spicy. I saw it was a jalapeño and thought that maybe one just got stuck in there with the other ingredients. As I kept eating, it became apparent that they added a bunch of jalapenos on the entire sandwich. I picked them out, but the juice soaked into the food so it was still spicy. It didn’t ruin the sandwich, but I definitely didn’t enjoy it as much as I would have had there not been any jalapenos. On the plus side, the iced tea is always on point and their potato salad is really good and goes well with the sandwich. I love that they put the pickle spear on the side. I wish I could get two of those because one is never enough. That would be cool if they added the option of adding an extra pickle to your order on the online order form. The jalapenos was an honest mistake and hopefully this doesn’t happen very often. As I mentioned, the staff is friendly. The restaurant seemed clean. This place is a little pricey for a deli, but the food is really good and I don’t really have a problem spending the money.

This location is pretty clean and the food comes out fast and fresh. Sweet iced tea is always good. The girls who deliver the food and take away your empty plates are attentive and helpful. The young men behind the counter, however, seem dismissive and uninterested. The guy who took my order cut me off mid-sentence to ask if I was eating there or to-go, maybe he was having an off day though. Other than that my sandwich this time had a little bit too much mustard but was perfect otherwise. I will return.

Very clean restaurant, friendly cashier, and food was brought quickly. I ordered a «Turkey melt», which was a sandwich made with whole weat bread, turkey slices, lettuce, mayo and mustard, bacon and melted cheese. It was great. I also ordered the applesauce as my side, which I had no complaints about(hard to screw up applesauce). It cost about $ 7.50 for a small sandwich and the applesauce(which was included with the sandwich). A bit expensive for what you get, but at least it tasted good and the service was good.

This location is super clean! The staff is above and beyond friendly! They have so many vegetarian options! Yesterday was my first time at this location and I was so impressed I had lunch there again today with my family. I had the veggie club my first day and was so full before I could finish my food. Great portions. The pasta salad needed a little seasoning but was also yummy. Today I ordered the taco salad with veggie chili. It was great and again WAY more than I could eat. I also like the way that they semi-serve you. Bringing your food to your table and taking the plates when you are done. The staff here is always asking if you are okay which is better than being ignored but still a little annoying. Yesterday I made an order to go to bring to my friend and it was a little awkward not having anywhere to wait. I felt very much in the way and was asked a 3 times by different people if I needed help. I WAS in the way but had no where else to wait :/ I will continue to keep this in my lunch rotation and want to try their dinner service to see if the evening staff is as good.
