Had the pots fries as suggested… They were great! Nice grilled flavor on the meat, salsa was good too. Shared a shrimp nobi with an egg and the stir fry noodles with chicken and egg… All tasted fantastic… Loved the fresh jalapeños on the sandwich… Only bad comment was the bottled beer was not as cold as I would like… Good service and food will be coming back!

They have completed expansion! Hardly any issue with seating now. This place is essentially perfect

Great selection of beer. Nachos are the best. Fries are great too. Good food and good beer all around.

Me and the girlfriend eat here all the time. Although on weekends it can be busy, usually the servers are still pretty quick. Food is amazing always and the spring rolls are huge. Get the pork vermicelli and add an egg roll, you wont be disappointed. The beer selection is also pretty nice. They have beers ive never even heard of. Always nice to go sample a few.

I had a business trip down in Houston at the beginning of the month and came here two days in a row for dinner. I can say with 100% confidence that I broke every food– and drink-related New Years’ resolution I’d made at Nobi Pub, without any regrets. Came here on a Sunday evening with a friend and off with the pork fries(sinfully delicious) and followed up with a Nobi dog(why yes, I would like a hot dog and egg on my banh mi). The pork in both dishes was very well-seasoned, and the fresh Vietnamese flavors imparted by the herbs and pickled vegetables in these dishes were a nice counterpoint to the heavier American components of the meal. When we inevitably returned the next day, we split an order of butter garlic wings. These came out piping hot and were perfectly crispy, buttery, and garlicky(not sure how they pulled that off without making either of those flavors overbearing, but I do know that it will be hard to return to Bdubs after these). For the entrée I got a chicken vermicelli bowl which had a refreshing and tasty combination of ingredients. Fantastic food, friendly staff, quirky hop-head art, and an extensive, ever-rotating beer list. What’s not to like?

This bar is super chill with an industry looks. There are patio seats, extra plus! I love love the restroom because the sink is made out of wine barrel! The drink menu is extensive and the food is pretty good as well. Also, the staffs are so friendly!

This is great, casual, local bar with great Vietnamese Banh Mi’ Pork sandwiches. The Nobi Public House has a full menu that includes soups, fried rice, salads, vermicelli, etc. They offer Phở in Sundays.

I’m not exactly sure of how I feel about this place: clearly inviting to locals and regulars, stocked with specialty beers, a clearly Asian/Vietnamese menu, wide-open seating that is simply one’s choice that is not directed by a hostess, and questionably clean. To be specific, when you walk in, there is no hostess to great you and no one to seat you. You seat yourself. As you stroll to your desired location, you see lists of beers abound. The workers, if you can identify one, seem to be hustling and bustling. If the damp/wet table doesn’t steer you away, sit for awhile. That seems to be what most of the patrons do. The food was ok, and might become more acceptable as my current drive for desired Vietnamese is longer that the one here was. It just seems to be basic, easy fare that no one would question. Let’s be honest: Vietnamese isn’t like soul food or sushi as there’s no specific or distinct flavor. Because of which, I’m not sure of whom prepared this food. It seems to take an unusually long amount of time, but the raspberry lambic that I sipped on while waiting was pretty tasty. I’m just a bit unsure of whether to suggest this place, prompt my own return, or stick to authentic Vietnamese fair. I have absolutely nothing bad to share, but I just don’t know what good to share either.

After so many positive reviews and seeing a full parking lot every time we drove past, we had to give this place a try. We came at an in between time on a Saturday afternoon. Maybe the positive reviews are for the many tasty beers they have, or because after a few beers, the food somehow tastes better. The cheap food pricing and hipster clientele is likely the draw. All I can say is that the food was terrible. I couldn’t eat more than a few bites of the combination fried rice due to the over powering taste and smell of old burned oil. The shrimp were just cold boiled that were tossed in and had no flavor. My wife had the chicken noodle soup, which wasn’t much better. I will give high marks for the egg rolls as they were really good. The service was above average with friendly wait staff. Sorry, but we won’t be back.

I’ve tried going to this place THRICE(one being a fail because it was nearly 11pm at night, and all they served then was beer; ‘kitchen is closed’) and the second time, it was just ridiculously crowded(good for em, I guess) that we did not opt to wait. BUTTHREE’S A CHARM. Got here on a Weekend afternoon for lunch, finally! Was not gonna give up on you, Nobi! I got the tofu banh mi and it was great. Not stingy on the tofu and the sauce went well with it. I’m craving one right now as I speak. The place just gets crowded very quickly; the ‘seat yourself’ kinda thing gets a little awkward as I’m usually the person that has question marks hovering over her head, thinking, help??? And when we sat ourselves, we waited quite a bit for a server to get to us. Overall, you can definitely get a nice, ‘modern’ banh mi version here w/out having to go all the way out to Bellaire. Great design in interior and lots of seating, plus some outside.

Vietnamese food and craft beer? Yes!!! Odd combination but soooo yummy. This place has an awesome beer menu, the iced coffee is chocolatey and strong and just greatness in a glass, the green tea is so refreshing. The vermicelli is a huge portion and perfectly balanced, the stir fry is flavorful and there’s more than enough meat in each dish. Oh, and those egg roll things on the side, mmmm. Calvin explained how they came to be and we appreciate its uniqueness that much more! He also suggested a few beers that were so perfect, and he really knows his stuff. Great guy! Great place to meet friends, have a night with your sweet, or hang with a cool kid or two. I can’t wait to try the brownie and beer dessert! Definitely a place to visit often!

Nobi is definitely where it’s at! I have not been failed yet. The service was remarkable! Again, I was greeted promptly by Nick, my server, with a nice warm smile. My presence was also acknowledged with friendly smiles by the other waitstaff walking around(huge plus). Consistent with my last visit, I ordered the wonton soup and egg rolls and my order came out fast and hot. Overall great place and I’m glad to have them in this area.

This place is an absolute gem. Might be my favorite haunt in clear lake. Food is spectacular, locals are friendly and the beer selection is outstanding. The bartenders will give you samples and talk through the beer selection without any judgement — seems like they just want to make sure you get something you love! This place is the bomb diggity. Only qualm is that beers on draft are hard to read on the board, might be good to put daily printouts on the table or in menus. Or be clearer!

Came during lunchtime with a friend. Was confused at first since this was our first time here, but you do seat yourself so find a spot and wait for someone to come to you. Our waitress was very nice but unfortunately(bless her soul), I got a tad bit annoyed when she checked up on us around 7+ times during our entire stay. I don’t know if she was new or she just knew that I wasn’t too ecstatic with the food, and was trying to get me to voice my opinion. I highly doubt it was the latter though, and maybe she wasn’t new and this is how she usually does things. In my opinion, diners need to be only checked up on once, MAX twice, and this should take place about 5 minutes or so after the food has been served, to give them time to try the food and form an opinion on it. Not too much of an impact though. This is essentially Vietnamese food. Well at least what I ordered was. I was told the banh mi was very popular but I sure as hell am not paying $ 5 for that when Bellaire is just up the road(ok, maybe it’ll take you 40min-1 hr but still). In general, when you really think about what’s in your banh mi, you don’t really need to paying that much. Now I will say that the food was actually alright. The shaky beef was seasoned(though a tad bit too salty) and had the perfect texture I expected. I don’t know why everyone’s raving about the fried rice as it was nothing out of this world. I did get the pork fries as well and will say that itself can serve as an entrée, as the portion is fairly large, but again, there’s a price disconnect between what you’re getting and what you’re paying for it. Taste-wise, pork fries taste exactly how it looks in the pictures. The meat tasted nice but everything else was… everything else. Unfortunately, I’m not really someone who orders drinks at restaurants and so I can’t say anything about the beer, though perhaps that’s the reason why it’s rated so high? I don’t know. All in all, the food was alright but I was disappointed that everything wasn’t stellar. I shouldn’t have walked in expecting a 4.5 star experience. Décor was nice and parking was easy. This place, if anything, is slightly above average, as a restaurant. I think the food is slightly overpriced for what you’re getting but hey, a bunch of people are biting anyway. I still slightly regret adding an egg for a $ 1 because what it does to the rice is not worth the extra $ 1. By all means add it to your $ 5 banh mi though, because that’s always a good idea. 7/10, would probably come again.

Love the food! Not so much the service on some days. I love the Vietnamese sandwiches with an added egg on top, and the Bi’s special chicken wings. Both dishes are seasoned well. Service can be spotty depending on when you go. I had slow service the first time, but the second time was much better. There’s a vast selection of beer! Great for trying new things. There’s plenty of parking, although it can get filled up during peak hours like lunch.

Beer beer beer. Just get one. You’ll love it. Bartenders always know what you want. Chicken banh mi sandwich or however it spelled is always a safe choice. Add an egg if you’re feeling adventurous. Believe me it will be worth it! Feel free to order some spring rolls for you and your friends! I love this place! They have great specials on Thursdays for pork chops and a pint.

So wish I could give Nobi 5 stars but, the customer service here is terrible. I have been here 4 times in the last 3 months & it has been the same every visit. I always dine in @ 11:30a.m. before the lunch rush so I’m not sure what the problem is. After seating ourselves you wait for a server, after they brought our drinks they are gone again. OK. now sit.wait. sit.wait. Finally. flag a server flying by your table to take your food order, Once my order is out now good luck trying to get a refill & your ticket to go because no one has never came back to my table on all four visits. I always have to end up going to the bar to check out. Now they really need to work on training the staff better because the food is so d*mn… GOOD!!! .

I had been to this location three times but this is the first time since they expanded. I used to hate coming to this place. Beer only, no cider & it was so loud that you couldn’t hear the person sitting next to you speak. Most people who come here are dressed casually or business casual. I consider it a great local joint that has upped the game in the suburbs! I’m making an assumption here but I believe this is the second location, the original is on 528(on the other side of the 45) if not, my bad! It’s a larger wooden & metal space & more enjoyable now! Parking lot is easy to access & plentiful. The staff have always been knowledgable on the beverages since they are generally microbrewers themselves. I always appreciate when someone can give details about a product that you didn’t know or hadn’t noticed before! Huge beer selection, many that are hard to find in stores, cider options are mostly bottles but they have 1 on tap. The food is mainly Vietnamese cuisine, the fried rice & Banh Mi are popular dishes. The prices are reasonnable overall. It gets packed pretty quick on the weekend & most weeknights so you should expect that. Come on down & try it out!

10th visit and still holds up to original review. But I’ve got to add that the Pork Bahn Mi is just as solid as the fried rice. note to business: PLEASEOFFERHALFPINTORFLIGHTSDURINGLUNCHTIME. I can’t ever seem to finish it all :(

I(f you are a beer lover, this is your place. They have an amazing variety of beers and they are always willing to let you taste test them before you get anything. They also have an amazing Vietnamese style food. My coworkers love coming here because the drinkers can get their drink on and the foodies can get their food on. Before if you wanted to come in at lunch time, you had to go early or take a late lunch because you would not be able to find a table. Now that this place has expanded, the wait for a table has gone down tremendously! My go to beer here is the banana nut beer. It tastes exactly like the bread! Quite delicious! My go to food items here are the vermicelli, shaking beef(which is the equivalent to bo luc lac), the pork salad, and their Vietnamese coffee or the thai tea! Their salad’s here are so delicious and filling and the dressing is just drool worthy! Every time I come here I am never disappointed!
