I have dined in once and ordered delivery once. In the restaurant, I ordered sushi which wasn’t bad for the price. I had a craving. It got the job done but was average. The staff was very nice. Delivery-wise, we ordered one Chinese dish and more sushi(I was beyond excited to finally be able to have sushi delivered in Clear Lake!). It was bad. Not rotten bad, but worse than grocery store sushi. And the chinese dish was worse than Food Court chinese. All around, the entire order lacked any flavor and I haven’t been back since. People seem to like this place but don’t be surprised if you’re disappointed at some point.

Great for lunch and delivery, wait staff doesn’t speak the best English so you may have to explain order a few times but food and service is great. Sushi and Chinese dishes are both great. I recently moved back from the center of Houston so I had a ton of Chinese options that were wonderful. This ranks up there with them. Restaurant is very clean and website is super easy to order off of. You do have to call them to pay by credit card though, that is my only complaint.

Fresh food and a lot of it, and best of all with REAL chop sticks! Delicious, fast service, clean and pristine, great staff, and pretty décor. A must for sushi and Chinese with excellent lunch prices!

Have eaten here several times. The food has been consistently good. The prices are no worse than a buffet, but the quality is much better. The staff has been excellent every time we have eaten here.

An overall average dining experience. Much better(and cleaner) than the Oriental Gourmet that used to be here but I still probably won’t be returning. The décor is very pretty. When we walked in it smelled like bleach, which I guess is good because that means it’s clean but alas, that’s not a very appetizing smell. Let me just say that every single other sushi restaurant I’ve been to has had gluten free soy sauce, this place does not, so if you’re gluten free, bring your own soy sauce. We had the volcano roll and it was delicious, but would have been better had they offered soy sauce I could actually eat. I had shrimp pad Thai for my entrée; it wasn’t the best pad Thai but it wasn’t the worst either. My entrée came with soup so I got egg drop. It wasn’t very good. Again, would have been better if I could have put soy sauce in it. For dessert I ordered mochi ice cream. They had a coffee flavor so I got that. The ice cream was good but the mochi was harder(almost crunchy) than it should have been, so I ended up just scooping the ice cream out and leaving the mochi.

Customer service was good everyone was very nice, I stopped here because masa down the street is still closed for renovations. I don’t get all the good reviews food was terrible! They drowned my sushi with sweet mayo yuck! I had the hot and sour soup and it was jelly! My wife had the chicken moo shu and it was sweet. I guess they are trying to Americanize their food. Won’t be back.

We ordered BBQ ribs, tender and meaty but I prefer a sticky sauce, these has very little sauce. Chicken Lettuce Wraps, delicious. I’ll order them spicier next time. Chicken Pad Thai, excellent. I ordered very spicy and it was barely spicy. still it was delicious. Kids Menu Fried shrimp, I would have stolen this meal for myself. Who new the best french fries were at a Shanghai Bistro. They were out of the Banana Pudding so sent us the best item of the night. A green and pink ice cream treat. AMAZING. Should have ordered 2 because we hated sharing. overall a nice delivered meal. only complaint is i asked for extra spicy and it was barely mildly spiced. I’m definitely ordering from here again.

This place is not well known yet. If I were you I would get my but here ASAP if you enjoy amazing sushi along with the ability to get Chinese cuisine. I have eaten here several times now and I have yet to have something bad. The waitstaff are attentive and friendly. The sushi is amazing(get the dynamite roll). Dumplings are great! I will keep coming back for sure!

The one star is for the employees and delivery drivers always parking in the handicap spots. Some people need these spots and there is always the same cars parking in the handicap spots every time I have come here. I don’t care if you own the building and business, you shouldn’t be doing that.

The outside of this place looks terrible. But once inside a totally different atmosphere. Very impressive motive. They are very quick to bring you the menu and your food. Not because they are quick to get you out the door but they are efficient. That’s a good thing.

Recently opened in the clear lake and we love this place! It opened where oriental gourmet used to be on El Camino Real and Reseda. It’s nice inside and they have great sushi! We like the NASA roll and the rocket roll. The unagi pieces are the best I’ve had. They have a great fried dumpling appetizer and the Chinese dishes are great too! We like the combo fried rice, chicken lo mein, moo goo gai pan, pad Thai and pork mushu wraps. They have a very diverse menu so there are still a lot of things we haven’t had a chance to try yet, but we hope they stay in business a long time. Great food and friendly staff, highly recommend!

Ordered online for delivery. The website is super easy & convenient to order from. I mean hands down the easiest online food ordering I’ve ever done. Food was delivered in about 20 minutes & was very good. Vegetable Egg Foo Yong was Excellent, as was garlic tofu dish. The menu is extensive; I’ll definitely order from here again.

It’s better than what was there before, but I still wouldn’t call it good. My family had the Chicken Lo Mein and the Moo Goo Gai Pan, with egg rolls, cheese puffs, and wonton soup. Every bit of it tasted like it had been pulled right off the Schwan’s truck and thrown in the microwave. It was by far the most average Chinese food that I’ve ever had. The cheese puffs in particular were rock-hard and almost down to room temperature. The egg rolls were full of cabbage and carrots, and given a second visit, I would not order them again. As a caveat, everything we ordered was on the Chinese portion of the menu. Maybe the Japanese menu is better. It’s also possible that since we went close to closing time, the food was a little stale. Maybe your experience will be different, but ours was not satisfactory. I wouldn’t say it was terrible — but it was just okay, and that’s not going to cut it when there are so many better Chinese restaurants in the same area and price range. I’ve had worse(namely every other restaurant that’s been in that building) but this wasn’t special enough to pull me away from 888 or Hunan Star.

Delicious! Great food, great service-I really have no complaints. Hubby had General Tsos chicken and I had seaweed salad along with peppercorn tuna sashimi and a roll — exciting roll. All very good! We will be back soon to try more.

We got home the other day, and found a menu left on our door. My wife and I had been craving chinese food so we decided to try it out and placed an order for delivery this evening. The ordering was painless over the phone and was given an ETA of 35 – 45 minutes. The food arrived in about 25 minutes, so we were impressed right off the bat! Being our first order, we decided to get a variety of things and placed a pretty big order(just over $ 50). We got the Hot Lady roll, Shaggy Dog roll, crispy honey chicken, pork fried rice, chicken lo mein, and egg rolls. Everything was VERYGOOD! It was all warm, fresh, and delicious. I think we found our new favorite delivery :)

Had a wonderful meal there with a group of friends. Fantastic service — polite and prompt. Classy décor. HUGE menu including sushi, sashimi, fried rice, thai, Chinese. Excellent presentation and flavor. Decent portions, reasonable prices. Lunch menu. It’s obviously a new family business and trying very hard to win patrons. Don’t be put off by the building’s unattractive exterior. It’s very nicely done inside. Not kitsch-y at all. I tried a thai entrée($ 12) and the NASA Sushi(!) for $ 10 and both were excellent. Wine was $ 4 – 8 a glass. I loved that they presented us our chopsticks with a bit of a flourish, and the chopsticks were not the cheap, wooden, break-apart throwaways, but actual chopsticks with some balance to them. I urge you not to judge them by their predecessors and to give them a try. I hope they increase their business.

Shanghai Tokyo Chinese Cuisine, Sushi Bar, Lounge. Two Chinese/Japanese buffet restaurants used to occupy this place. Now they serve ala-carte a variety of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai food. We have tried sashimi/sushi combination sampler, vegetable beef, egg foo young and Special wanton soup. They were all delectable. Prices are affordable to reasonable. We have vidined twice and this restaurant will be part of our monthly schedule. Big place, nice ambience, clclean. Recommendable.
