Very very happy about this find– my closer alternative is a rip off. No kidding, there is a $ 2 difference between most wines at both locations. The owner is super friendly, and very helpful. This place is a real gem!

When I lived in Weehawken I was a frequent customer. Mr. Lee(R.I.P.) and his wife were always in good spirits and very friendly. I always found their prices to be very competitive. Anyone who doesn’t hasn’t really looked around!

I cannot comment on the beer and wine selection, but the spirits are WAY more expensive than my normal ‘in-grocery-store’ liquor store. Also, they aren’t always open the hours they are supposed to be. Good in a pinch, otherwise, no good.

Good wine and beer selection. Lots of $ 12 and under bottles of wine. And the Belgian Beer section was particularly good — 750ml bottles at good prices. This is the best place in the immediate area by far.

Yes, «Best Liquors» is a terribly boring name for a liquor store, but if you’re a true Beer Snob, it’s also a very appropriate name. Located in the Pathmark shopping center, this small store has the best selection of microbrews and imports around. They keep an excellent selection of Belgian and German beers around as well as American microbrews, and the prices are always great. Edit: after today’s visit, I had to upgrade the place to five stars. I found another 5 or 6 bottle-conditioned Belgian ales(I nearly peed myself in my excitement,) plus it seems they carry the entire line of Ommegang and Unibroue ales. I don’t think there’s another store in the entire NYC area that has this kind of selection.
