This local business has been around 40+ years. That’s amazing all in itself.
If you need a piece of furniture, and want it made well, and from real wood, this is the spot to get it from. They can pretty much make anything y’all.
I was in the market for a new bed. The thought of spending $ 300+ dollars for a time consuming-​non lasting crap from ikea made me cringe.
While waiting for the bus one day, my friend said I should pop in to the wood shop on the corner and see what they had.
So one day I did. And I left happily with the purchase of a new bed that was going to be delivered two days later.
The bed was just what I had been wanting but not able to find anywhere. The way they constructed this bed was pure genius! Delivery was more than reasonably priced for my two blocks away local delivery. The gents that delivered the bed were super accommodating and careful when bringing it up the stairs to my second floor unit.
I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I’m so happy to the point that I’ll be paying the Wood Shed another visit in the near future as I’m now wanting to replace my cruddy dresser for a real wood one made locally by hand with love by a small business in my own neighborhood. There’s something about the thought of that, that makes me feel good.
