Winn-Dixie

Next time I’m bringing lunch!
So I was short on time on my lunch hour and this Winn Dixie was on the way to my destination.
I stood by their deli by the sandwich station for about 5 minutes before I was acknowledged. I understand it was lunch time so I was patient. She was helping someone and had two people walk up after me for lunch meat. She said to me (as she’s slicing) «Do you just need mayo or something?» I replied, «No, I’d actually like a sandwich.» Her answer was «we have pre made ones on the side here» and pointed. Well, that told me she wasn’t making me one so I checked them out (again, I’m short on time on lunch). My choices were one of two… Turkey and Swiss or ham and Swiss with lettuce and tomato. Frustrated I grabbed a ham and a water and headed to the register to just get out.
Cashier was ok, asked me for my Winn Dixie card which I didn’t want to look for and took down two phone numbers it could be under and told me I wouldn’t save anything anyway. Couldn’t find me in the system … I leave.
Finally I can eat! Well that was a huge disappointment. Bread was bone dry as if sitting all day and take a look at all the meat in my sandwich in my photo. I would’ve done better at Subway! I took off the tomatoes and gave them to my husband so it would’ve been slightly thicker in their defense. Never again!

Do not shop at this Winn Dixie. My debit card information was stolen from this Winn Dixie and used in fraudulent charges. They also do not have chip readers working at any of the cashiers. After an investigation with my bank we back tracked and discovered Winn Dixie was the only place where I used my debit card for the past 45 days.
Do yourself a favor and don’t shop here. Now I’m recovering my stolen money the account. This store definitely has skimmers in it. Self check out is where it happened.

Otherwise it’s decent but I just find Winn Dixies kind of shabby and nothing stands out as super appetizing. And it’s not cheap. Publix at least has great deli subs and fried chicken and such and a nice atmosphere. Sorry Winn Dixie! I prefer to go o Sav-​a-​Lot and slum it or go somewhere nice.
