Doublegate Inn

Very relaxing! I just can’t say enough… Stephanie and Eric were wonderful. We stayed in the Chanterelle suite… WONDERFUL! We will definitely be returning!

Sometimes you just need to slow down and replenish. I was on a business trip, and wasn’t planning a stop at a B & B, but somewhat impulsively peeled away from the highway and into the lush woods that surround the Doublegate Inn.
I arrived late, but proprietors Stephanie and Eric welcomed me into the coolest house I have seen in I-don’t-know-how-long. All of the things I hope and imagine a bed and breakfast to offer — warmth, fireplace, coziness, quiet, fireplace — surrounded and soothed me.
One morning, I asked for my usual breakfast, and Eric said that he thought he had a compote that I would like even better, but if I didn’t like it, he’d gladly whip up the usual (note to self: must obtain dictionary with the word «compote»). So I was gently being pushed to explore boundaries, as the therapists say. And it was better than the breakfast I had wanted!
Every detail has been labored over, and the result is a temple of replenishment. If you want to learn how to be the perfect host, learn at the feet of the masters here at the Doublegate Inn. Their rates are really reasonable, too, for some odd reason.
