JMC Associates

I used JMC for an inspection of an urban condo. I received a detailed report, with pictures, that said everything was in «satisfactory» condition, not marginal but satisfactory. In the first 6 months since purchase, I have replaced the washer/​dryer, the hot water heater, and most importantly the heating system had to be almost completely rebuilt. The plumber that did the repair (one a 20 degree day) was was appalled. Not only was the system not in «satisfactory» condition as the time of inspection, it was a hazard. Extensive rust/​rot, faulty piping and there were several places where gas was leaking.
I wrote to JMC, explained the situation and gave them an opportunity to make this right. I heard NOTHING back. Clearly they were negligent. Had I known at the time of purchase that these issues existed, I would have negotiated price with the seller or walked away from the purchase as the P&S was dependent on home inspection.
DO NOT USE JMC for your home inspection. Clearly, they provide substandard services that will cost you a lot of money down the road.

Had a home inspection done by Steve at JMC Associates. I was extremely happy with his detailed report and the time he took explaining everything we saw as we moved through the condo, I am a first time buyer and had several questions. The cost was reasonable (esp. for the Radon testing) and Steve was very accommodating when I had to cancel and re-​schedule my appointment (twice). Steve was friendly and had a positive attitude during a stressful time in the home buying process. Highly recommend!

For a recent home inspection that we needed, we researched online for hours before contacting three home inspection agencies. JMC Associates were the first to respond and were able to quote me a price right over the phone given the square footage. This kind of upfront honesty and instant information was so helpful in a situation that was very high stress and time sensitive. We were able to get an inspection scheduled at my requested time with only a few days notice.
Our inspector Doron was so knowledgable, professional, and friendly. Thank you so much, Doron! The first thing that Doron commented on was the nice neighborhood that the house is located in. We sincerely appreciated that comment so much because we felt that his opinion is not subjective and it was truly so nice to hear.
My husband who spent the entire time with Doron could not say enough nice things about him (I was watching my kids during the inspection.) Doron seemed the understand our perspective well and pulled my husband aside a few times to give him some information so that the real estate agent couldn’t argue or interrupt. This meant a lot to us.
The inspection report was THIRTY NINE pages long and filled with details and color pictures. We received it the same day as the inspection although Doron had told us that he had plans with his young kids and that we could expect it Monday morning, which also would have been perfectly fine (the inspection was at 3 pm on a Saturday afternoon).
Overall it was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this company to any home buyer or anyone in need of a professional, thorough inspection!
