Jack’s Cape Cod

We are so happy we rented a kayak from Jack’s while we were on the Cape. We weren’t sure if we would be able to transport the kayak because we were driving a sedan with no kayak rack. But, Jack’s had all the equipment necessary. They also mounted the kayak on our car for us and made sure we knew how to use all of the equipment. Also, the manager made sure to take the time to show us some great spots to drop out kayak in the ocean. The best part was that the cost was more than reasonable. All around great experience!

Kayaking on Gull Pond in a kayak from Jack’s was a highlight of our trip. The very helpful woman in the office also gave me the best general information about Wellfleet and where to get the parking sticker we needed during our rental. When we return to the cape we will always rent in Wellfleet!

My parents and I have been coming to Gull Pond to rent Jack’s canoes for as long as I can remember. Access to Gull Pond requires a Wellfleet beach sticker, but Jack’s has temporary passes that they lend to customers so that visitors from all over the Cape can enjoy the boating experience. The friendly and helpful staff at Jack’s often lets us keep the pass in our car window for awhile after we return the canoe so that we can swim and frolic in the beautiful pond as well.
Jack’s has a whole slew of boats — canoes, kayaks, paddleboats, pontoon boats, even sailboats — and surfboards. The back of Gull Pond leads to another smaller pond which leads to ANOTHER smaller pond! (Note: the water between the ponds is shallow, so paddleboats and pontoon boats cannot get through).
In all, I would highly recommend Jack’s Boat Rental to anyone who is looking for a relaxing and active experience in a beautiful pond surrounded by beautiful scenery.

I was sitting at the beachcomber with my wife and the gentleman next to me struck up a conversation. I told him I was down for a few days exploring the cape and he suggested I go take a kayak for a spin with my wife. I asked if he knew where I could rent one and he said, «my name is Jack, I own Jack’s boat rental, head to gull pond and tell them Jack sent you» He wrote something on a napkin and told me to give it to the person renting the kayaks. My wife and I finished our drinks and headed to gull pond. Sure enough the pond was beautiful, the service was great, and the kayak was a blast.
