Lots and lots of choices. They’ve got everything. And a friendly environment as well. I had the fried seafood platter. It is HUGE. I could only eat a third of it. My friend had the grilled swordfish and LOVED it. I highly recommend this place. They also serve ice cream.

We’ve visited here five times in the past two years and every experience has been above and beyond expectations. The food is fresh and delicious, and the staff is accommodating and kind. The menu is much more extensive than your typical fried food stop– we had baked scallops and a beet salad at our last visit that well surpassed a similar meal at a nearby sit-down restaurant. This place is great.

Wide selection of dishes here. You order at the counter, then eat in the patio. Highly recommend lobster bisque. I liked the specials — roasted cod with fingerling potatoes and zucchini. Gluten free dishes and kids’ plates available. Easily accessible off Route 6. Friendly service.

We stopped here for ice cream today. The prices were very reasonable. It cost me just over 10 dollars for a sundae and two cones. We ordered at the outside window and service was very fast. We enjoyed our ice cream. I had the peanut butter cup frozen yogurt which was delicious. Maybe next time I will try their seafood.

Lots of yummy fried seafood(scallops, oysters, clams, fish… might as well get the seafood platter for $ 42). Covered seating next to the ordering hut, right off the highway. Good lobster roll but probably not the best I’ve had in Mass. for the price. Coleslaw could use a little more flavor too.

+ Open during off-season + Their clam chowder is AMAZING — not too creamy, perfectly seasoned, plenty of clams + Plenty of parking + Good location, convenient right off the main Cape Cod freeway + Lots of seating + They also serve desserts and even t-shirts if you’re in the mood for memento-buying — Little pricier for the quality of food — Clam bellies were okay — the bellies were tiny and so didn’t really give us the full clam belly experience, it felt like eating clam strips with a TEENY bit of belly — Couldn’t find any lemons for our clams Clam chowder + Small fried whole clams = $ 26

While visiting Provincetown, we were craving good seafood for dinner so we ended up at PJ’s Family Restaurant, which is a fast food style seafood shack where you ordered at a counter and pick up your food at a window when your number is called. My family and I shared Steamed Lobster, Homemade Crab Cakes, Grilled Shrimp, and Sweet Potato Fries. The Steamed Lobster consisted of a whole, local hard-shelled lobster served with melted butter on the side. The Homemade Crab Cakes consisted of two lightly breaded and pan-fried crab cakes that was served with a roasted red pepper remoulade sauce. The Grilled Shrimps were served marinated with lime and served on skewers. The Sweet Potato Fries were fresh — hot in temperature and crispy!

The burgers are really good, and the sweet potato fries are the best I’ve ever had! My boyfriend had the lobster roll and said it was delicious! I loved this place so much we went there twice during our 3 day trip! I would recommend checking this place out if you’re on your way to Provincetown!

Best onion rings in the whole wide world. You will not make it home with them but they’re best anyway hot just out of the fryer!

Awesome food! The lobster roll is award winning, the mussels with wine and garlic are amazing and the corn is perfect. They ice cream is unique and it is the best way to close a meal here. We had the toasted coconut and strawberry, both really good.

We stopped by on our way to Provincetown for a late dinner and was a little confused. You can order outside(next to the ice cream stand) or you can order inside(with the entry door on the right of the building). We ended up ordering outside(since we didn’t know of the indoor seating till later) and sat outside to eat. The lobster roll was delicious, but heavy on the mayonnaise that you almost can not taste the sweetness of the lobster, but you can still taste the lobster. It wasn’t the amount of mayo in the roll, it was the creaminess of the mayo. The roll was delicious, and not too buttery. We also ordered a cajun grilled salmon sandwich with fries and a cup of clam chowder. I liked the fries! the salmon was on the dry side, but not bad still. I really liked the chowder, it was brothy-er than a thick chowder for sure, but that help bring out the seafood taste I feel, and it was loaded with clams and potato. All in all I thought the meal was delicious but overall a little disappointed, but that was because I was expecting sooo much! =P and I’m learning what kind of lobster roll I like ;)

I was so disappointed with my last visit to PJ’s. Known for their out of this world Lobster Roll and such, the food was still pretty good — although my fried shrimp platter wasn’t anything special, and the chowder really had NO seasoning — like… NONE. My gripe was the counter service. the woman who helped us seemed so disinterested in anything I had to say, and was actually kind of flip when I asked her a question. It just wasn’t a great experience across the board. Cramped inside to fit more people in, my party of 7 couldn’t fit at our table for 8, we needed to split up, because it was just to compact in there. Do better PJ’s — I know you can!

Lobster roll was buttery, tasty, dripping, messy, and lovey! It made my day! Plus ice cream for dessert!

Do not order the«Jumbo» size lobster roll, the only thing jumbo about it is the $ 28 price tag. It’s a regular size hotdog roll that is full of lobster but by no means is it $ 28 worth of lobster. The flavor is typical and the quality of meat is average. The steamers on the other hand are delicious and a good value.

This review is just for the ice cream. Compared to the other shoppes on the Cape, PJ’s was disappointing. Our group ordered a variety of items including soft serve, regular ice cream, milk shakes, etc but no one seemed wow’d. I personally had the coffee soft serve with sprinkles on a cone but I could barely taste the coffee flavor. They can also improve operations as service was a bit slow side.

So I don’t have much experience when it come to eating lobster rolls. I only spent 3 days on The Cap but this place blow my mind when it comes to lobster rolls. I ordered the larger size roll. The lobster had large pieces and the bun was not too big so I didn’t feel like all I ate was bread. I would say this was the best lobster roll I have ever had and would recommend this place to anyone looking for something delicious.

This place was decent. I think it is better for ice cream and standard fried seafood. I got the broiled scallops dinner and it was only ok… it was swimming in some sauce and my fries were not crispy which was a letdown. My husband enjoyed his fried clam dinner which is to be expected… can’t really mess up fried clams. My ice cream cone was the big winner for me… It was a purple cow cone and it was delicious. I would come back but order a safer option of fried seafood. PS.they have Del’s frozen lemonade. Another winner for me!

This rating is only for their lobster roll. The rolls were $ 16 each and worth every penny. About half an hour south leaving Provincetown Massachusetts I saw PJ’s on the east side of the road. We only had a light breakfast and had a long way to go so we decided to pull in to what looked like a hot dog or burger stand. Upon further inspection we saw they were serving seafood and of course the lobster rolls we ordered. At this point I saw a sign from a TV food star saying this was his favorite place for lobster rolls and it hit me that I had seen this place on TV. OK now my taste buds were waiting in anticipation and my mouth started to water. Would this be a great lobster roll or would the hype be too much and the roll leave me wanting. After taking the first bite I knew this was the real deal. First you get the taste of the buttered toasted roll. I was worried this would overpower the lobster but it didn’t. As I continued to chew the flavor of the roll became secondary and the delicate flavor of the lobster became the star of the show. If you want a terrific lobster roll look no further than PJs. I’d recommend them whole heartedly. It’s a drive heading out on the cape but it’s a beautiful ride and the treasure awaits you at the end.

Stopped by for a quick lunch before hitting P-Town. This place is a fairly typical«crab shack» offering outside covered picnic table seating, on inside air conditioned seating. You order at the counter, take a seat, and wait for your number to be called. The seafood and corn chowder was excellent, creamy and full of chunks of seafood. The lobster roll was simple and delicious. Served on a buttered roll and with no fancy ingredients, proofs simple can be delicious. My friend had a cheeseburger special of the day(yes I know what you’re thinking: a cheeseburger on Cape Cod?). It was a big juicy burger with BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, and fried onion rings on the top. I admit I had bite and it was great! Seemed to be something on the menu for everyone. Price –wise it seemed average for what you’re going to find at any similar place along the Cape.
