Newer rooms in the South building(as opposed to the older, north annex) were on par with other budget hotels. Thin sheets and thin towels with very firm mattresses. We got a surprise when we first arrived and they did not have our Expedia reservation. With no king or queen rooms left, my hubby and I had to get separate, full beds. At least they had a room for us but it seemed like an issue with management that they didn’t have our reservation on file. We were placed in a handicap room(neither of us are handicapped) and the shower wasn’t designed very well and spilled out onto the bathroom floor. The room comes with breakfast at Penny’s diner next door which was pretty quaint but nice. The room was very basic but quiet so we got a good night’s sleep. Slim pickings in Wellington but I would recommend this one if you’re going that way.
