Safeway Food & Drug

Usually I’m good going to this store, but today I left with a bad taste in my mouth. Evidently I’m not perky enough for them. I’m in line paying for my stuff and when the short brown haired lady ask me how I was I said I was fine but it wasn’t in the correct tone it would seem. I’m a tired mom of 4 (includes twin toddlers) with stuff on my mind. They said I sounded like Igor from Winnie the pooh so they started imitating my saying I was fine. It was funny for about 2 seconds but they kept it up and as I was still nice and said have a good day, the dumb blond bagger did it again. Fucking irritating.

Mob scene no matter what. I can’t stand going to this place. Save your soul and go to Fred Myer or even Costco.

I’m not a fan of Wenatchee Safeway. east Wenatchee is much better. the prices of Safeway isn’t bad. however the workers at the Wenatchee location are rude. east Wenatchee has better employees. its almost worth driving a few minutes to go to a better place to get groceries

The only reason I get groceries here is because it is close to my work. The prices are high but they try and make you feel like you got a good deal with their rewards program. I wish we had a fred meyer on the wenatchee side

This Safeway is very dirty inside. We went to order food at the deli and the counter was very dirty with food debris all over. It looked like they hadn’t cleaned it all weekend. The food handlers were NOT wearing gloves. It makes your stomach turn to observe this, especially when they are handling YOUR food! They stopped selling the baked chicken pieces and only have fried. There doesn’t seem to be any regard for putting out a healthier product. Even our server couldn’t understand it as this person said it was a very popular item. The store is conveniently located and the parking lot was nice, plus had a gas station onsite, which was very convenient. That’s about the only positive things we can say. With the right management, I would think they could fix these issues very quickly. Hopefully they pay attention to their reviews.

As far as this chain of grocery stores go this one seems to be a middle of the line store. The aisles are clean and stocked and the staff is helpful, but sometimes overly solicitous. The parking lot is convenient to get in and out of because the store is situated on an intersection with a traffic light.

The pharmacist at this Safeway was extremely rude and disrespectful; she called her customer a liar and was trying to tell him that he had to buy the medication for his wife that died two days earlier. She had no right to yell at an elderly man that just wanted to get his medication, and when she proved herself wrong she continued to yell and call names. She was completely disrespectful and I will never go back.
