oh krocks, how I use to love going there on a summer night and sitting outside enjoying a few drinks with my friends… not anymore! I visited this past Saturday with a group of friends for my friends 30th birthday. we sat outside downstairs. I ordered the hut and half tea expecting a refreshing beverage. i took one sip and choked. ugh what was I drinking?! took another sip, horrible. someone else at the table who had the same thing described the drink perfectly«it tasted like drinking butt hole with a hint of bacon» not iced tea what so ever. I returned it after 2SIPS and ordered a beer(because I knew that couldn’t get screwed up) the waitress(who was new there, nothing against her she was good) came back with my bill for the beer. I gave cash she later came back with another bill, saying that the manager said I had to pay for the drink I didn’t drink because it was liquor. the waitress herself didn’t think it was right he/she was making me pay for it. I’m sorry, I worked in restaurants my entire life! from country clubs, to chains to small town bars. and I NEVER heard of this before! if the customer isn’t happy with something, no matter what it is, and they didn’t consume it what so ever but a few sips or bites it should be taken off the bill! it was abousulty ridiculous. I would have spoke with a manager that night but it was taking forever for everything and I was running out of patience. I will never again go to krocks with it being managed like that. that place use to be packed on a nice summer night. I was shocked it was so dead that night, now I know why!

Great for live music and the 2 guys were great. Service good. Menu was good but charged extras for burgers… $ 3 for fries, .75 for bbq, .75 bacon. Plus the bison burger was already $ 13 so pricey for that I thought. Fries were excellent though… don’t get many but crispy and fat potato… nice. Good for sports but not dinner … Pool table $ 1. Crappy shuffleboard. Darts. Lots of tvs Recommended for drinks and sports. Not for dinner food.

This is a good neighborhood bar. I think the hut /deck is nice and makes Krocks unique. It is a great place to hang out after a round of golf or to see a UFC fight. As far as the food, I’ve only ever had wings and fries and they’re good.

It’s a nice setting. Big deck overlooking the golf course property. I stopped in with some folks after a round on the golf course. The food was«meh.» Bison burger was pretty low-grade. The service was extremely slow and/or nonexistent. Every time we needed something — every single time — after waiting forever I had to get up and hang out by the cash register/computer to get someone’s attention. Granted, it was a busy Friday evening in the summer, but it’s not like this place opened yesterday. I could have walked out without paying the bill and nobody would have noticed for an hour, I’d bet. They also serve the wine and liquor in tiny plastic«glasses». Tacky and representative of a total dive bar. I guess it’s mainly a beer-drinkers’ place.

I guess it’s gets 1 star for the deck being a cool place to grab a few beers… But if I could give zero stars I absolutely would. We went on a Friday night, it was pretty crowded. Our waitress was nice and polite but the service was slow and the food was just awful. I can’t imagine that there is much concern with what the kitchen is putting out on a daily basis. I ordered a burger that was quite obviously a frozen patty, it wasn’t cooked to my specifications and the fried egg I asked for on top was over-hard… So no yoke to help with the lack of moisture. My gf had the taco salad which she hated and my buddy had the bison burger which wasn’t even bison. Do yourself a favor, go eat somewhere else.

NO, NO, NO! I always give myself a minimum one week waiting period before posting to Unilocal.Well its been a week, and my feelings on this place haven’t wavered. Food was awful, I mean awful. Did I mention it was awful. The server asked«how was your meal?» my reply«do you really want to know?» This was the upside of the entire experience, because the manager came looked at my meal and immediately took it off the bill. I think she felt bad for the putrid food they attempt to serve me. I remember going to this place on Fri and Sat nights, and it was packed. Well when you charge $ 3.25 for a can of Miller lite, and your food on its best day sucks, lets just say your not going to be packing the people in. BTW, for those that like the deck, Bring your sunglasses, the deck is covered, but gets absolutely pounded by the 4pm-8pm sun. I would say its a cool 89 degrees under that thing.

If you are going just for drinks in the summer, the patio is the best in the area. If you are going for dinner, pick somewhere else. The food is terrible.

Love Krocks Pub. It is what it is… a neighborhood Pub. Nice service. Good beer. Nice prices. Interesting regulars/locals. I grew up in shepherd hills 20+ years ago, I wish this place was here back then. We had the food for the first time tonight. Wings(crabby) were good but very small. The cheesesteak meat tasted and smelled like frozen meat. The meatball sub was eh. The meatballs fell out of the bottom of the sub when I picked it up. The homemade chips were awesome. The crabby fries good but very salty. If I were you, stick with the drinks and appetizers. I love Krocks Pub. Always have, always will. :-)

While located discreetly across the street from a residential neighborhood, tucked away off the corner of a golf course; Krock’s offers a pretty sweet setup. An outdoor bar with lots of seating, covered and uncovered, with a beach volleyball setup and two televisions. Aside from the weak beer selection, it looks like it had the potential to be a cool place to frequent often. However, this past weekend a comic scenario ensued. My fiancé and I returned to her hometown to celebrate her 21st birthday. Her mom lives across the street in the neighborhood, so we figured it’d be a convenient and safe location to take her little sister for her 21st. It was my fiancé, her 60-year old mother, her 25-year old sister, and myself, along with the birthday girl. I’m trying to paint the picture for you that a rowdy or typical 21-year old-celebratory crowd, we certainly were not. As we arrived at midnight, we were refused her first drink due to the fact a full business day had not passed since her 21st birthday. I was forced to call other bars in the area and tell them our predicament. For example, Liberty Tavern and Stooges, both found the ordeal to be unfortunate — yet hilarious — quoting that«we were [essentially] BS’d» and to «come over and the first drink would be on them». Both establishments bought her, her first drink. While I, personally, had to audible my plans and become the DD, she still had a good(and safe) night. I must repeat again, the set up of Krocks appeared nice. The bartender appeared like she was the victim of being forced to enforce this rule — but who knows. They missed out on a $ 100-plus tab that night and more importantly, years of weekly-repeat service due to her family’s location of being 50 yards away.

Reasonable prices, vintage taps, magic hat on draft, and right next to a golf course where I can get 9 holes in after work for 15 bucks. A shorter menu with more attention given to the food they do serve, and this place would have a 5.

Great bar to watch football outside, but don’t expect friendly service! Bartenders always have scowls on their faces and look bothered every time you ask for a beer. Maybe they should try smiling for a change?

Fun bar. Especially in the summer when the deck is open. However, the food is pretty bad. I’ve tried several things on the menu and they have all been pretty gross. The service is bordering on pathetic too. Bar tenders are great, waitresses are awful.

Solid place for low key drinks with friends, also a great place for Post Golf lunch with the guys. Without question, the shining star of this establishment are the Buffalo Wings. Several different styles… Honey BBQ are my favorite… today…becuase I keep trying all the others! Pricing is fair, wait staff are relaxed and attentive. The shuffleboard table is level and the right length, don’t forget about darts and pool. Honestly, all the other bar food I’ve had at Krocks is nothing more than average… burgers, quesadilla, sandwiches, etc. We’ll certainly be back. Great place to go with a group of friends. My buddy Ballistic loves the Bologna sandwich with BBQ sauce… it’s called something like the Bingo Boingo Bango Sandwich. He raves and I cringe.

Ordered a crab sandwich. it was half the size of the OLD kaiser roll they had it on. So they smashed it on the roll to make it fit. The FF that i paid extra for and they rave about because they cut them fresh came out soggy and greasey. I had to ask for tartar sauce and then they charged me .50 extra on my bill. I took two bites and left the rest. The Server asked if i wanted to wrap it and i told her the sandwich was horrible and i couldn’t eat it. Her response was ok. I did pay my bill but really angry when i saw the .50 cent charge for tartar sauce since i felt it should come with the crab cake. Bottom line never got there to eat. Just go for the beer.

I’m not sure about this place — I’ll have to check it out again in the summer. I went here in mid-March, and it was pretty slow. You could almost hear the crickets chirping. They do have a good jukebox with an excellent selection of indie rock, so I was happy about that!

Large bar with a pretty good number of tables, generally with table service with but in some cases you may need to walk over to the bartender to place an order. Tables are high with stools that aren’t the most comfortable. They have 7 or 8 excellent large flat screen TVs and this is a great place to watch a game, Sundays during the football season they have every game thats taking place all over the country. The food is great, especially the wings.
