Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight and we really enjoyed it! Food was good as was the service! We will definitely be going again soon!

Hands down, it’s the BEST Hong Kong style Chinese food in all of central Florida and it’s right here in Wesley Chapel! The food is fresh daily, cooked to your specifications(no onions please, light on the green peppers, etc.,). Everything is cooked to absolute perfection. The vegetables are crisp and not soggy, the meat, poultry and seafood are tender and juicy. They have several tables to sit at(I was told that their previous location in Tampa was carry out only). The service is fast and the food is hot, with just the perfect amount of seasonings. All meals are made when you order, not sitting in the back under a heat lamp. The place is family owned and run. No teenagers running this restaurant. It’s the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. In the past I have looked for Japanese and/or Thai because they seem to use less oil when they cook. But this is better than either. They are located in the strip mall on the corner of SR56 and Ancient Oaks, Blvd, next to the savings in loan, in SAMs shopping center. If you see subway and tortilla flats, you have gone too far. It’s on the other side of Sun Trust. Surprisingly this place is getting very little business because it’s all by itself. We need to tell more people so they can stay open! I would give it 6 stars for food alone! But Unilocal only allows 5. Try it, you will never eat at the place next to publix or on SR54 again.

This place is clean, bright and spacious. We went as a group of 6 and got seated at a booth. Service was fast. The food was good but not amazing. They have good variety though.

Stopped by on the way back to the Villages after being railroaded on the slots at the Hard Rock Casino. Had the Shrimp and Snow peas and it was outstanding! This was my 4th visit to this fine restaurant. Can’t say enough good about it.

Authentic Chinese at its finest! The owners are super sweet and will make things to order that are not on the menu. Highly recommend.

I’ve eaten here numerous times and it’s my «go to» Chinese restaurant in the area. The portion sizes are always large enough for leftovers, which I love! Great for take out or dine in because even on weekends there’s never a wait. If you want authentic and fresh Chinese definitely try Kwan Ming!

This place is one of the best places I’ve had so far in Florida. Chicken is actually chicken and not just batter. Food was hot and very tasty. If you are in Wesley Chapel and want good Chinese food. This is the place.

Outstanding! I had the snow pea and Chinese eggplant dish with fresh pork along with pork fried rice. This was a recommendation from the staff and I could not have been more pleased. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, the pork very tasty and the rice was perfect. The service was exceptional and I would go back again. And again!

This is by far our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. The food is GREAT, FRESH, and DELICIOUS. It isn’t your typical mass produced«Chinese» food. It is very good.

For how much my food cost, I was expecting better. I am new to the area and used Unilocal to fine the place. I was really surprised at the quality of what I got vs the reviews. I am a picky eater but the quality of the chicken wasn’t there for me at all. Noodles were fine. I will be bringing in Asian food from Westchase from now on. Sorry.

Very authentic Cantonese food, their beef chaw fun(rice noodle) is the best, taste very much like what I had over Asia.

Oh my goodness, I absolutely love the veggie lo mein here(the only thing I order from Chinese restaurants) !! I’ve got to say it’s a little different every time, but the mouth-watering flavor is always present! sometimes there are eggplant slices, other times baby corn. I love the addition of the tomato, because they are just so juicy and they really complement the taste of the noodles. KWANMING just keeps me coming back for more!!!

They are quick! Even though it is a bistro atmosphere, the food comes in a timely manner. My favorite thing has been the shrimp lo mein. The shrimp is pan fried, big, and cleaned. I know it sounds crazy that I would point out the fact that the shrimp is deveined but it drives me insane when restaurants don’t do it. I was not too crazy about the general tso and sesame chicken. The chicken is white meat but has a «we just thawed this pre-fried chicken out this morning» taste. If they actually breaded it themselves, I would throw my money at this place more often. I also love their egg rolls. I have to order one every time I get food there.

Ok so I’ve been going to Kwan Ming since it’s days when it was off of Himes Avenue near MLK, back when it had two to three tables and did 99% of it’s business as take out. I know the owners Henry(Kwan) and Christine(Ming) just because we used to eat there so often they became friends. Honestly, Kwan is one of the best chefs I’ve ever met. Upon learning that I was vegetarian, he once came up with a brand new menu of 18 tofu items. He takes such care and diligence with every meal he makes. Now at the bigger restaurant, he can’t make every meal, but I know he’s doing his best to train his chefs, and that quality ingredients is a sincere priority of his. The food is fresh, the restaurant is spotless, and has cute décor. The service is phenomenal, and Kwan or Christine still come out and interact with their customers, which I think is invaluable. They cook everything to order and can customize anything. Once, I took a friend there and he ordered the General Tsos with no vegetables but all the spice… Needless to say, it was the best he’d ever had. I typically get the sweet and sour tofu which is never too sweet. Also, the veggie fried rice is the best I’ve ever had. You wouldn’t think some of the veggies in there belong(like tomatoes), but the combination of flavors is just right. They have narrowed down the menu since moving to the full service location in Wesley Chapel, but you can always request something to be made if they have the ingredients to make it. I have really high standards for Chinese food since I grew up in NYC, and Kwan’s is truly one of the best I’ve been to.

Highly under-rated WC/NT chinese food location. It’s a quiet little gem in a small strip mall location. The service is always super friendly and the food is always flavorful and fresh. Forget the chinese fast food places around and come straight to Kwan Ming. Stop eating mystery meat bathed in colored sugar and opt for something that you can actually decipher. The chicken is fresh and juicy, they use white meat in their fried dishes and the veggies are fresh and crunchy. The prices aren’t bad either for this level of quality. Go where asian people go, that would be your best indicator for good food.

I have always wanted to try this place because their menu sounds good, has many options, but it lacked something. There’s not enough pictures to highlight all of their fancy menu options. That makes me nervous, and not knowing whatsoever of what I am ordering. We picked the ho fan beef which are homemade noodles with beef, bean sprouts, and green onion. It has a sweet flavor to it. The noodles have a dumpling like texture to it. It is good, but it gets gummy very fast. The fish with black bean sauce and veggies came with green peppers, onion, bok choy, and green onion. This is served with rice. I found it quite salty for me. This restaurant is quaint, clean, nicely decorated. There was one person as the server, and one person in the kitchen. There was two people that came in for take out, and was not busy at all. I feel like if there were more pictures on their menu, this will be very helpful. I would like to try it again because they have so many options different than the typical Chinese take out. For now, after this visit, I am still left unknowing.

Great chinese restaurant. It’s a small restaurant with great service. The food is Excellent and hot and fresh. A difficult combination to come across with Chinese restaurants. We stopped going to our old chinese restaurant after I could taste that is was old or reused chicken. This place is awesome. Try it. You will be pleased.

Had the house special-pork, chicken, fish, and shrimp with the chef’s special sauce. Could have used more sauce. The vegetables were very fresh. I would order it again. Crab Rangoons were nicely filled and tasty. Definitely will return. For Chinese food, the meal was light and I didn’t walk out feeling ridiculously full even though I cleaned my plate! Also-the service was spectacular!

Great service. Mediocre food. Soup too salty. General Tso too sweet. Egg rolls and spring rolls were too greasy. I really think the shrimp and krab hag some imitation flavor added. We didn’t have to wait too long for the food. Seating was quaint but not too close.

Kwan Ming Bistro is the best Chinese restaurant in Wesley Chapel. The restaurant is small but clean and well-decorated. Unlike most Chinese restaurants, Kwan Ming Bistro has rectangular tables and booths instead of large, circular tables. Tasteful Chinese art hangs from the walls and a beautiful 4-panel room divider separates the kitchen from the rest of the restaurant. My friends and I ordered around seven dishes – all of them were perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and simply delicious! Especially, I recommend the fried rice and any dish with scallops.

Update, It’s been a little over a year since we ate here, but thought we’d give it a go. All I can say is that their quality is even better than the last time. I stuck to my word and came back for the fried rice. I ordered the House fried rice and it had chicken, pork and shrimp and it was perfect. My son ordered the chicken and garlic with fried rice and he practically licked the plate clean. I tasted his chicken and it was so satiny and tasty.(I know satiny is a strange adjective, but that’s the only way I could describe it) So very tasty. The krab rangoon was so good. It wasn’t super sweet, like a lot of others I’ve had, but had a ton of flavor. The service was good. It wasn’t very busy, but it was a Sunday evening after 8 so that may be the reason… I can’t imagine it was because of the food. It is definitely worth the return visit. I only wish I hadn’t waited so long

Tucked away in A strip center near Sam’s Club, this restaurant provides excellent Oriental food. I say Oriental cause I’m not sure of the exact cuisine Chinese or what have you. Limited table seating inside but you can get tableservice. I have had the egg foo yung and the shrimp fried rice both of which were very tasty.

We rolled into the dinky little restaurant(holding maybe ten tables max) and the first thing I noticed was the absence of noise. There were no televisions or radios playing. No bad Chinese karaōke or washing machines. The only sounds came from a drunk foursome at one table and a waitress taking an order on the telephone. A few minutes after we arrived a native New Yorker came in and took a seat at a table across from us. We struck up a conversation(yes mom, I talked to a stranger)! I mean, that just doesn’t happen in most restaurants where eyes become glued on televisions and ears begin to hear the songs playing on the radio. We ordered an egg roll, garlic fried rice and sweet and sour tofu to go. We waited about 20 minutes or so for the food to come out. It wasn’t a quick fix(probably where the freshness comes in). I tore into the sweet and sour tofu first. I liked the sour that lingered long after the tofu was swallowed. The sweet was a bit heavy for me. All the sauce, which was laid on pretty thick, also made it impossible to tell whether the peppers and pineapple were as fresh as everyone suggested. I loved, loved, loved the big hunks of tofu with a light breading on them although a sesame sauce might have been more to my liking. Kwan Ming’s Garlic Fried Rice was the star of the show(and I know it was only a two act affair but it could’ve headlined most Chinese New Year buffets). The rice was loaded with fresh cloves of garlic that were sliced and fried until they were golden brown outside. They were then tossed with the fried rice regulars to create a masterfully blended dish. Not too salty. Not too fried. Just bite after bite of blacking out in Tampa and waking up in Gilroy, California. I happily breathed this dish for hours afterwards.
