Our server Michael was great, but food was subpar this visit. I repeated my favorite dishes from my last visit knowing I should have good dishes to fall back on if branching out doesn’t work out. Sadly, I was disappointed with the dishes I expected to be just as good as the last time. The Claws dish was rubbery this time and just wasn’t as appetizing. Although, I was able to take advantage of the happy hour this time. I didn’t expect the oysters to come out haphazardly. Every oyster seemed to have bits of shell broken into the meat, it was just really sloppy. It was still good, just annoying that I’d have to spit out shells every few seconds or I’d accidentally bite down on the bits of shells. Now for the branching out, I wasn’t a fan of the Crab Rangoon but my sister liked it. And the Shrimp Tacos were pretty darn good! Wee also tried the Peel & Eat Shrimp since it was happy hour but that was a flop. I think the only thing worth coming for happy hour is the oysters, really. I don’t think I’ll be coming back any time soon due to their inconsistency in food quality, but I’d be willing to give them another chance.

We went 2x since we forgot our gift card… uggg you know how that feels! Think Red Lobster food(without amazing biscuits) in bar atmosphere The good: quickly sat, quick solid service, 2−4−1 drinks ALLDAY, cheap oyster/clams/wings/shrimp(.25 each for 6) free kids meal with purchase of adult meal. STONECRAB at a reasonable price. Really good blue crab claw app– butter garlic cheese The bad: Mom got food poisoning from bad soft shell crabs(to be fair she thought they tasted a bit funny, should have stopped there…) Stone crab only served cold They charge you extra for bread to dip with your appetizer The fair: consistency of grouper.,.lacking– 1st time=cooked well, moist, good blackening; 2nd time = overcooked, dry, over salted; happy hour shrimp 36⁄40 count(read very small) & waaaaay too much Old Bay — come on guys any Marylander knows a little goes a long way. Can’t comment on the pasta and stuffed fish dishes Will we go back? If we have to and I want stone crab and cheap drinks.

Came here on a Sunday night and it was a short wait for a table. I do like the idea of sending a text message to your cell phone when your table is ready, not sure why more places don’t adopt it. But anyway, our server was very cordial and friendly along with the bartender. The food on the other hand left much to be desired… We had the«claws» appetizer which was very disappointing. The claws were tiny and soaked in oil, tasted like little sponges of oil when eating the claws. For my main meal, I had the grouper tacos with a side of green beans and fries. The fries in this place is just awful, soft and soggy, lacked any taste besides some of them being burnt. Even when someone at the table ordered fresh fries they did not taste much better, only hotter. The tacos were ok, the taste wasn’t consistent at all, one of the two was too salty, the other was too spicy. The only descent thing I had was the green beans side dish. Since it was a cool night and they sat us in normally the outdoor area, they had the shades pulled down to cut down on the wind, which we liked. Ten minutes after sitting down, one of the shades were retracted(not sure if it was automatic or opened intentionally). I asked our waiter to have it drawn back down. 45 minutes later, still open, I asked again and a manager of sorts came over, hit the remote and closed the shade. 30 minutes later, he came by and opened it again(intentionally or unintentionally, I have no idea). We were finished eating but I just found it very annoying.

I’ve been here twice with family in town. First, it’s always happy hour with buy 1 get 2 specials on certain drinks. So I got 2 margaritas with plenty of alc for only $ 6.50 total, and my dad got two beers for under 5 bucks. The crab cheese dip is delicious, but pretty just reminded me of warm/mild spicy queso. I had the ahi tuna special which was cooked perfect to medium rare. My family’s food was great as well– crab cakes(I’m not a crab cake person but these weren’t dry at all and I loved them), salmon, and crab. Both times I’ve been we had great service and the servers were very knowledgable about the menu and answered all questions.

Great service. Good food. Also kids eat free with adult meal. We ordered fried calamari and they gave us a second order because they were not perfect the first time(we didn’t have more expectations)

My family love seafood we decided to try pinchers since we live in Wesley Chapel. I order a fresh catch from the food case and it tasted bland and previously frozen after eating we were horrified after seeing a roach on our table needless to say more.

It’s generally ok. I ordered the fish n chips since it was marked as a house favorite. The fries were my favorite part. Fish was ok but I’m not a fan of the tartar sauce. It tasted too much like mayo to me. Cole slaw didn’t have much taste at all. I also ordered the dreamsicle drink. Pretty good if you like sweet drinks. I wasn’t able to finish it. I got it by the glass, not the bucket. I liked the décor and the overall vibe. My waitress, Olga, took the time to explain the menu and was very attentive.

Nothing really exciting about this place. Actually, I take that back I must admit their fries and mashed potatoes are bomb(but then again I love potatoes). Their ahi tuna entrée is okay, didn’t really spark my interest after a bite. And wishing they serve crawfish! A seafood restaurant?-how can they not have crawfish! I’ll definitely be back for the fries tho. And our server jaqueline is very attentive and friendly!

Four stars! Means I’m a fan! I read so many reviews on here that would scare you away. I couldn’t figure it out so I started asking around and I guess when they opened they had a rough start and that’s no reason to try and destroy a business that people have put their lives into. I went anyway, cause I’m a rebel Dottie. The first time I went it was good no complaints at all. I enjoyed the mussels and peel and eat shrimp and some amazing bucket drink. In a bucket. With fruit. It was amazing. I went again today with my dad. I got crab legs and mussels and clams and peel and eat shrimp and pops got fish and chips and we shared it all and doused it all back with a few ciders. Everything was great! All the food was hot and cooked properly and delicious. The bathrooms are super clean and have a citrus hand scrub that’s wonderful I like it here a lot! It’s a fun place in a fun area. They have happy hour all the time and great deals on drinks. I will be back, soon. Been there twice this week! Our waitress tonight was Jana. Super funny and sweet girl. She actually listened to my father talk crazy talk and was really nice so of coarse I way over tipped. The service was great from her and the hostesses. We were greeted promptly and when we left they made it a point to say goodbye. A great experience at a super fun place.

Sadly it’s as bad as everyone says. I saw the negative reviews but went anyway as we had dinner plans with friends and I didn’t want to spoil anything. Steamed Clams. Completely over cooked. Very tough to eat. Got a fried grouper sandwich and thought it was so easy a kid could make it. It was the worst grouper sammy I have ever eaten. It was maybe 1⁄8 of inch thick through all but a very small portion. It was also very dry and I had to douse it in mayo.

I’m in town for a few days to visit my dad, who moved to Wesley Chapel last week. He’s big into seafood, so we decided to go to Pinchers. I didn’t read reviews until we were seated, and I’m glad I didn’t read them Until then, else I probably wouldn’t have given this place a chance. I’m very picky about my seafood, so believe me when I say that this place is amazing! The atmosphere is very similar to Joe’s Crab Shack – lots of colorful, mounted fish, frames pictures with crabs and tropical fish meant to give the impression of a large Key West fish shack. There’s a cooler case with all sorts of fish, clams, crabs, and shrimp that greet you along with the hostess, who will tell you that anything in the cooler is fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is casual and I saw a lot of families dining. Dad ordered a bowl of the crab and corn chowder – it was so good that I couldn’t help but steal a spoonful or two. The crab was sweet and the both had just enough spice in it to enhance the sweetness of the crab. I definitely regret not getting my own bowl! For dinner we split a half proud of the grilled shrimp. They were cooked to perfection, seasoned with dill and lemon pepper seasoning. The shrimp were so fresh – no shrimpy aftertaste here! – and they came out quickly after we ordered. Don’t let the negative reviews scare you away from Pinchers. I can’t wait to come back on my next visit to Florida – the crab pincher appetizer and fish and chips platter definitely caught my eye. Can’t wait to try them!

Sometimes you just have to see things for yourself. I saw many bad to mediocre reviews, but decided to give it a try anyway. Why such bravery? Why not? Plus I love seafood. The restaurant is very casual, so please don’t expect white table cloths. Instead your waiter will write their name upside down on a paper(kind of cool, but not new). Menu is plentiful, including variations of platters and sandwiches. We got crab dip, it came out hot, accompanied by chips, which were very colorful. To my taste, it wasn’t spicy enough, but it was easily fixed with a little hot sauce. They offer specials. All day, every day 2 for 1 margaritas on the rocks, beer, wine. We got margaritas. Not sure why the came out in a glass for mixed drinks, but they did. Also from 3 to 6, oysters are just 70 cents each(6 min to order). I didn’t get any but thought it was a good deal. All in all, it was nice, I would say kind of like Applebee’s of seafood. I’ll be back.

Food was good, portions were more than adaquate and very tasty. The grouper was outstanding, the hot crab dip was excellent, the clams were nice and fresh, and the hush puppies were very good. The service was good and very attentive, Mike was very personable and prompt. Prices aren’t bad but not great either. Now the bad, the fresh oysters were the smallest I have ever seen, fresh yes but not enough of each to taste.

As previous reviews have mentioned, I’ll be shocked if they’re in business in a year. $ 301lb. crab was mediocre at best. Service was okay, all young kids with likely little experience. I don’t mind paying for quality but this wasn’t worth it. Even Red Lobster has better quality food and service. Slightly surprised by health department issues(see«what the health» app) on such a new restaurant but we went anyway. Also surprised only half full on a Friday night but these reviews tell you why. Disappointing as I really wanted to like this place but we won’t be back. Added: checked recent reviews again when I was talking with a friend who was just as disappointed as I was. I noticed management responds to positive reviews and ignores negative ones. If you ignore problems they won’t get fixed. They won’t be here next year. Added: I stand corrected, a member of management must have read my review and offered to provide a better experience. If the recent reviews seem like things have turned around then I would try it again.

4÷25÷15 Another try at Pinchers after talking to management to try again. My son received baseball cards with his menu. He thought it was really cool. We ordered the pincher claws cause that’s the reason we came here and I must say that it was a complete turnaround from the previous 2 visits. That claws were as great as the 1st visit. I don’t know what changes were made, but it was all good! This visit was amazing and Victoria, our waitress was awesome. This visit earned the 5 stars back.

Upon seeing a new restaurant pop up in the Shops at Wiregrass, a few girlfriends of mine decided we should meet up to try it out. Being from New England, I am naturally a huge fan of seafood and perhaps a little jaded by how easy it is to get great seafood up there. So I will start by saying that I may be biased on my opinion of Pinchers. I arrived first to the restaurant and got a booth near the kitchen. The waitress took my drink order and brought a glass of chardonnay back as my friends arrived. She made a point(about 3 – 4 times) to «explain» the menu to us. I understand if there are specials or confusing items on a menu, then a server should absolutely make a point to share that with a table. However, we could read the menu just fine and it was a little annoying that she felt the need to keep explaining how to read a menu to four twenty-somethings. I wasn’t all that hungry, so I went with the grouper nugget appetizer. It was vastly underwhelming. No taste, no seasoning. if you were to tell me it was really chicken I might have believed you. No one else was particularly enthusiastic about their dinner either. The prices are certainly not worth the product. The only saving grace was the hot crab and cheese dip that we all shared. It came with tri-color tortilla chips which seemed a little over-dyed, but the dip itself was great. It’s harsh to say, but I can’t imagine this place will stay in business for too long.

The crab pasta Alfredo seemed like it would be good. But then I smelled old crab, it had a moldy smell. I took a bite and it was indeed moldy. I complained that my food was moldy and old and the manager apologized, but did not deny the food was was old. Then my wife discovered a black hair in her food shrimp scampi. Absolutely disgusting we will never come back.

First impression was it has an outside bar so cool. Ordered a Jack & Ginger and the picture says it all. My drink sucked & wish I would have consulted the angry guy next to me first. Stick with the 2 for 1 beers or wine. Ordered ½ Oysters on the half shell which I enjoyed but were on the small side. My entrée was the Grouper Platter grilled with Green Beans & Garlic Mash Potatoes. My grouper was grilled very well but could have used more seasoning of some sort. I tried my friends fried & Blackened grouper which also needed more seasoning. Overall, mediocre experience coming from NY/NJ dining. In closing what’s up with that freaking bell? And get different bartenders. Lol

We have been wanting to try the new place at Wiregrass Mall. We were hoping that the seafood would be good and fresh so that we would have a place to go when we had a whim for seafood. The service was average, although the waitress did go out of her way to explain the menu to us. The food was good albeit the portions were way too small for the pricing. We will go back, but we will not go out of our way to go back.
