Waited 40 minutes for a high top table and the. Was told the table was reserved(even though they told us they don’t take reservations for those high-top bar tables). The advertised Hawaiian martini was discontinued and replaced with something else but several in or group specifically wanted the Hawaiian. $ 5 martini Monday’s are great. The martinis are worth $ 5 but not their usual $ 9– $ 10. Try the Hawaiian martini, it’s light, fresh and sweet!

The return to Bonefish. A Bonefish Grill rep contacted me post my last review about a highly unsatisfactory visit to this location and promptly sent some gift cards for us to have another go. We returned on a Saturday night about 7. Things were initially looking questionable when David the host was telling a guest that he wasn’t sure what happened to their online reservation and walked away. These people didn’t look too pleased. We were quoted a 25 – 30 min wait time and went to a high top in the bar area. Anjelica took care of us at the bar and was absolutely great. Good wine recommendations and great positivity all around. We would have stayed to eat there with her but the sun coming in the door is a bit obnoxious. Really excellent server. We got our table in shortly over the time we were quoted and were greeted by Eric. He was absolutely fantastic as well. He had some additional good suggestions on the wine. We started out with the bang bang shrimp which was good, just a tad mushier than usual. Next up Eric offered help selecting the perfect preparation of Tuna! Our Caesar salad arrived timely and was very tasty! Around this time the power blew out due to a storm and we were wondering how this would impact our recent dinner order. Eric came around many times to check on us and this time came with an update on the power outage and its impact on the kitchen. Really the dinners came out timely, perhaps just a few minutes late from the outage. My boyfriend had the filet/crab cake combo and I had the blackened tuna rare! Everything was perfectly delicious! Overall, a really great dinner! Thanks Bonefish for making things right for us! We’ll be back and be sure to ask for Anjelica or Eric!!!

Enjoying a little soup and salad with my Grandmother-in-law. A simple lunch that was tasty and quick. Gotta love the Bang Bang shrimp.

I love Bonefish. LOVE it. I have never had a bad experience, be it food or service related. Since it was my mom’s birthday, I knew where she wanted to eat and that made me happy. Bang-Bang Shrimp-should really be called legal crack. I want to bathe in that delicious sauce. The only thing better is the BBS tacos *drool*. Next was the amazing Wagyu beef dumplings. There’s something about the mix of the soy sauce and what I believe is a crispy pancetta that is so intoxicatingly good, I was sopping it up with the bread rather than the pesto and oil. Between the shrimp and the dumplings, I was in heaven. Let’s not forget the Patroń margaritas, which made a good meal even better. It was such a great night and I can’t wait to go back. Just writing this review is making my mouth water!

We’ve had a few bad experiences here, but kept going back because Bonefish itself is great, and we had hopes that this location would improve. Tonight’s experience wasn’t too much different, but we decided once and for all we will not go back to this location. First we ordered water with lime. Our server, Abigail, returned to the table twice without our water. We asked her for water again to which she seemed as though it was our first time asking. She didn’t bring it with lime, which we then asked for again. Next, after we had ordered our entrees, we waited at least 20 minutes while tables around us seated after us got bread. While she was at another table, I asked if we would get any, and then she brought it a few minutes later. I had also waited about 20 minutes for my dinner salad. I had to ask her if she was going to bring it. When the entrees first arrived, my friend ordered a beer. She finished her entire meal without Abigail ever returning to check on us or bring the beer. My friend then told Abigail she no longer wanted the beer as she was finished with her meal, and Abigail proceeded to order it and have another server bring it to her. The final straw was when we looked at the glass water bottle at our table, that was completely dirty and looked like it hadn’t been washed. That’s when we decided once and for all, we will never return to this location. I have also told all of my friends in the Wesley Chapel area about this experience. This was a slow Monday night, there was no wait, and there were plenty of empty tables. **I want to add that right after I posted this, someone from Bonefish reached out to me, apologizing and asking to send me a coupon for a meal. This is why like I said in the first sentence of my review, I know Bonefish is great. Even after this experience, I may like Bonefish even more now that they have tried to make it up to me. I won’t be using the coupon at this location, but will be trying out the Trinity, FL location soon. Thanks Bonefish!

Blahhhhh. So disappointing. Drinks were overly sweet and syrupy. The Baja tacos were dry ad tasteless. The Ahi was definitely not sushi grade. Our group did not like a single thing. Plus the place was dead and the service was slow. Oh and it’s pricey for the no taste low quality food. Never going back.

My wife and I went to the bfg for our 34 th wedding anniversary. The service was relatively decent but the food was horrible. the spinach had some kind of taste i cannot describe… It was horrible I had to spit it out. The mahi tuna steak was awful. it was the very worst restaurant I had ever eaten at. Needless to say, I won’t be back!

Food never disappoints! Only complaint I have is the slow service to outside tables in the evening. Waiter was very very nice, though! Try the ahi tuna bowl

Not sure what happened to this place but it has seriously gone downhill. Waitstaff was great but the food quality is nothing like it was. Used to be a regular years ago and thought we would try again but keeps reminding us why we don’t return. Hate to give a bad review but when you have to return food for just being inedible it is very frustrating especially when you can gat a better meal for half the price elsewhere. Wish the kitchen cared as much as the floor. They have to comp food which hurts their tips.

We usually come here for the Hook on Tuesday deal. The Bang Bang Shrimp us technically on sale too. It has also been our favorite. The fish are perfectly cooked everytime. We always get the lemon butter sauce so that we can really taste the fish flavor. The gem we found recently is soft shell crab. The server recommended it for us bc it is only available a few weeks per year. Oh boy, it was yummy. They stuffed the soft shell crab with crab cake. I felt that they overstuffed the shell so the crab doesnt look like crab anymore, like crab on steroid. Not necessary a bad thing, they dont skim on the crab cake on you. And it was very filling too.

Our first time here and it was an amazing experience thanks to our waitress, Angelica. She was very helpful with the menu, checked on us frequently, and had great manner. I’ll come back just for customer service like hers. On top of the wonderful customer service, the good was AMAZING. Bang bang shrimp is a must have and I enjoyed the salmon.

Awww, not the best visit last night. There were 8 of us in our party and despite that we had 2 servers and the restaurant wasn’t packed the service was SO slow! Many of the group ordered an app/salad and a few of us got entrees and we asked for all the food to come at once. They totally brought the apps as apps and the entrees way later so none of us got to eat together. :( Food was hot and tasted great as usual though! We’ll certainly be back as slow messed up service isn’t the usual at this location. Oh and Wednesdays are Bang Bang Shrimp Day! Only $ 6…4 of the party of 8 ordered them and there was more than enough to go around! :p

The wait staff are always absolutely superb. The managers top notch at operations management. The food never fails to please. I always enjoy a Makers 46 and bacon wrapped scallops when I go here. If Jason or Costa are bartending the drinks will be just right as well.

Florida: land of the free, home of the chains(especially Tampa, which is home to Bloomin’ Brands). Look, I’m not a huge fan of chain restaurants. But this chain does it right.(So right, in fact, that on a Friday evening the wait time was an hour. Luckily, the host was kind enough to tell us that the tall tables and patio tables were first-come, first-served, and we were able to secure a patio table in around 15 minutes. Perfect!) Our waiter was amazing, and I wish I had gotten his name. He was really patient with my boyfriend and me and answered all of our questions and made both wine and food recommendations. My boyfriend got the lobster bisque and enjoyed it a lot. I got the ahi tuna appetizer and was not disappointed — so flavorful! Choosing an entrée was more difficult but I finally decided on the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos. They were so good!(After the tuna appetizer and a few spoons of bisque, I had to pack two of the tacos but they held up nicely the next day.) I’d definitely get these if we were to make another trip — this time WITH a reservation! Boyfriend enjoyed his steak. All was well for my first time at Bonefish!

Bonefish Grill is one of my favorite go to places for dinner; I’ve dined at this location(dine in and take out) more times that I can count. I love their drink specials during happy hour, and the atmosphere is consistently nice. This location is often quite busy… parking can be a challenge and you can expect to wait a while for a table on a weekend evening, however the bar is usually a great place to wait, and the staff are usually friendly and accommodating. I’ve usually have really great service here, but one one or two occasions I have also had really terrible service, and it had nothing to do with how busy they were. Curbside delivery can also be a challenge(and there is no take out parking here), which is why after my last experience(involved waiting for an unreasonable amount of time without any acknowledgement while numerous vehicles came and went, before finally driving away«hangry») I just don’t do it at this location anymore; if I don’t have time to dine in, I will opt for something else. Two must try appetizers are the Bang Bang Shrimp and the Ahi Tuna Sashimi… they are both very good and I often order the tuna appetizer as my meal. I recently tried their new authentic lobster bisque and I wasn’t at all impressed with the taste or consistency. Half of my life I adhere to a low carb diet(just long enough to lose the weight I gained while living free), and their baked Tilapia Imperial is one of my all time favorite dishes while adhering to this diet. Occasionally the fish can be a little dry or overcooked, but some hot melted butter goes a long way, and the flavor of the scallops, crab meat and shrimp with lemon caper butter is wonderful. I’ve had several other seafood dishes that were very very good(usually specials). I’ve also had several of their Kobe beef(Brunch) burgers at other locations, and they were all fairly decent, albeit a little salty. If you are going to dine here, I would recommend ordering seafood. I usually do not order meat here but on my last visit I ordered the 6 oz. filet Mignon, and it was not at all what I expect a filet to look or taste like. It was okay, but it looked and tasted more like a sirloin… when you order a filet, you want it to look and(or at least) taste like a filet.

We go here every time we are in Tampa for the bang bang shrimp, which is fantastic. However, the entrées always leave us something to desire. The shrimp stuffed lobster entrée was so small and the sides tasted like they had been warmed up from a steam fresh bag in the microwave. If you’re looking for a place for a good appetizer look no further. If you need a complete dining experience move on to the next option.

Had a wonderful meal, and a great experience, thanks to server Ryan, who had just the right touch: attentive, yet kept his distance when the conversation mattered more than the food. He has a great sense of service and was friendly and professional. My Lily’s Chicken featured a wonderful lemon basil sauce, bursting with flavor. It was served with fragrant Jasmine rice and broccoli steamed to perfection. I will order it again. My dining companion enjoyed her grouper and pumpkin ravioli, which I tried and also found favorable.(Her dish was a nightly special.) Only downside was the pre-dinner stop at the bar. Although friendly-acting, the bartender served my Heineken in the bottle, never offering a glass until I finally asked for one. Worse, my companion ordered a pinot noir, clearly indicating she was not fussy about the brand, saying, «I don’t care which kind. Pinot is Pinot.» While the house pinot would have been appropriate here, he took her lack of direction as meaning«Give me your most profitable glass of Pinot Noir.» The $ 7 house wine quickly became the $ 14 variety(x2). Not cool. The barkeep knew I’d appear cheap if I verbalized the obvious and had said what I was thinking: «I believe the lady would like the house Pinot, thank you.» Yes, I understand that relating this story makes me look cheap. But so be it. I hate wasting money. So, dining YES+, bar, NO! PROTIP: Depending on time of day/time of year, the sun can hit inside the restaurant with a fierceness you only see in Florida. Some patrons wore sunglasses to cope with this problem, which was especially bad when the front door opened and let the blinding rays in. Management has made an obvious attempt to mitigate this problem with a sun-blocking screen in front of the main entrance. Still, it can be a nuisance. Take it into account before you accept the hostess’s seating offer.

After a recent business meeting in New Tampa, I was searching for someplace to have lunch. I’m not often in this part of far northern Hillsborough /southern Pasco Counties, and so there are a number of places that I’ve not yet tried. As I drove north up Bruce B. Downs Boulevard I spotted a Bonefish Grill off on the right side of the road, and decided to stop there for lunch. You’ll find this Bonefish just south of S.R. 56, in a little strip mall facing Bruce B Downs. In full disclosure, many of the Tampa Bay Unilocalers attended an awesome event at the Bonefish Grill in South Tampa a few weeks ago, and we were given gift cards to use at their restaurants. Free seafood for lunch? Yes, please! Bonefish is known for their outstanding seafood served in a casual, yet classy environment. The chain started in St. Petersburg, FL back in 2000, and has quickly expanded to well over 150 restaurants. Their menu offers lots of well-known appetizers(like the Bang Bang Shrimp), freshly-made soups, salads, burgers, tacos, wood-grilled fish, steaks, and chops. They’ve also added some bowls of shrimp, tuna, or chicken served over a salad or noodles. Since I’ve eaten at Bonefish for dinner many times in the past, I decided to try a couple of new things off their lunch menu, and encouraged my associate to do the same. I began my meal with their new Cold Snap Fresh Ceviche which included chilled bay scallops, shrimp, and freshly-diced fish, mixed with diced avocado, cucumber, jalapeño peppers, red onion, and tomato. That was all marinated in citrus juice and cilantro, and then served inside of an «ice bowl» on a plate with warm tortilla chips. For my main course I had their Maryland-style Jumbo lump crab cakes which were mostly crabmeat and very little filler, then flash fried and served with a spicy red remoulade dipping sauce. I passed on the French fries, and instead tried their chilled pesto cous cous salad with cherry tomatoes. The restaurant was surprisingly busy for lunch, which kept the servers and the kitchen hopping. I thought that our server was very pleasant, and she gave us some good recommendations of things to try. I’m not up to this part of town very often, but would definitely come back to Bonefish Grill if I was in the neighborhood.

I love when places are consistently good all the time. Bonefish Grill in Wesley Chapel, I’m talking to you. I have been here a handful of times before, but before this last visit, it has been a while. Our food has been great, and our service is always perfect whether we are sitting inside or outside, weekend, or non-weekend. The hosts and hostesses are very welcoming. The male and female waiter/waitress that we had were always very helpful, and pleasant. I met one of the managers who is very helpful, and suggested the Side Car with Mango twist, and I loved it. Here’s a list of must tries. Honestly, it’s just everything we have tried recently: Lobster Thermidor Mahi Mahi — This is so good and moist, and I love the lobster chunks. Wish there were more of course. Next time I may ask for sauce on the side. Fontina Chop — Pork Marsala with mushrooms, and the sauce is perfect. Crab and Corn Bisque Soup — so good and tasty. Espresso Martini — the sugar and lemon like rim makes this martini stand out from others. Side Car with Mango Twist Drink — very tropical refreshing Mac and Cheese Bites — the sweet chili sauce is the cherry on top with this. Donuts — Have fun squeezing the filling into the donut and being all artsy on this one. Pork buns — Make sure that you go easy on the bbq sauce, because it to me tastes better with less sauce, and I do love sauce. The last three are from the new bar bites menu. Everything on that menu is amazing. Try their bar bites. They call them #incredibleIS. Yes, they are incredible.
