Marco’s Pizza

my gorgeous wife and I get pizza from here pretty regularly. never have been disappointed. The people who work there are all incredibly nice, too. And you get a free movie rental next door at fam vid if you want, every time you get a za.

On a cold and snowy night, I dejectedly made my way towards the Family Video to return a truly exceptional film that I had not had the time to watch in the mere 24 hours it was in my possession. I grumpily exited my vehicle and watched the clunky plastic DVD case slip through the slot and out of my life. It was at this time that the smell of freshly melted cheese and sweet tomato sauce clouded my senses and led my weary body to the door of Marco’s Pizza… here is where my tale begins.
Whilst entering I began to look over the large poorly designed menu boards. I was deliberating between the preconceived pizzas or dining on my own creation. Suddenly the sound of an 18 year old growing into his voice pipes snapped me out of my cheesy coma. He recommended the thin crust. He recommended the white sauce. I created my own pie with white sauce, tomatoes, spinach, feta cheese and black olives. «Great choices», the man mused. «Is that all?» I replied that yes, that completed my order. «What’s this?» he proclaimed. «A coupon for free cheesy bread? It’s your lucky day!» and he winked from beneath his green visor. I smiled and thanked him for his greasy generosity. «See you in ten minutes».
I sauntered through the Family Video for a second time in two days and found a suspiciously disgusting Kevin Smith film sulking in the back of the store. I quickly rented it and returned to the parlor next door.
My new number one fan was nowhere to be seen. I waited about 10 minutes exchanging polite banter with the man behind the counter, when I felt a cold rush sweep over my legs. I raised my eyes, hair billowing in the snowy breeze and locked eyes with my main man. He swooped over to the heating lamps and began to pull my pizza box from underneath. «Wait!» exclaimed the man slicing my free cheesy bread, «that order is not finished yet!». Señor Suave retreated and smiled at me. When the bread was boxed and the pizza was sliced he seductively slid it over the counter towards me. «Would you like any dipping sauces?» he cooed. «I should be fine, but thank you». «Free of charge…» he added. I again promised I would be fine with the grease pit of a meal I was about to indulge in. «Well, can I text you?».
Well. Can. I. Text. You.
18 year old Kelly felt a blush rush over her cheeks and I nervously stuttered «No thanks» again and scurried out of the building.
When I later made it home and opened my boxes, sitting there unassumingly — two dipping sauces. Free of charge.
Thank you sir, for making my night and the fluttery boost of confidence.

Unfortuntely:
Pizza — Thin crust was tasteless and chewy, the toppings were scarce for a dollar a pop, and the white sauce carried no addition to the pie whatsoever
Cheesybread — Actually quite good!

Christmas night. 2 customer’s sitting, obviously already helped. 5 workers that I could see. One concentrating on deliveries. 4 minutes go by… not even a simple hello. As the delivery driver is collecting her za’s to go, she asks if I’m there for pick up. Yes, I say. All I have to do is give you money, you give me pizza and I’m gone. (I saw the two pizzas I ordered online sitting on shelf.) As I was leaving, I was almost hit by a car because he delivery drivers car was illegally parked in the ally. It’s apparent that the owner of this franchise doesn’t care about training their people or following laws. Good luck.
This visit shows– There is no training. Cmon now. Say HELLO when someone enters your place of business.
I will avoid this place as much as possible.

We had really mixed feelings about our overall experience with Marco’s tonight. Following is a list of the big WINS and big LOSSES:
Cade answered the phone and was very courteous to my girlfriend who made the order.
The two pizzas arrived within a reasonable period of time and very fresh. The crust tasted fresh and the old world pepperoni is awesome and fun. They offer a free crust topper which is a kind of brush on-​the-​crust topping which is free. We asked for the same crust topper for both, but only only one came with it. Additionally, the 2 liter we ordered did not come with the initial delivery so our AWESOME delivery driver Nicole was super apologetic and explained the soda was not placed with her delivery bundle for us and realized as she walked up to our door. She was amongst the BEST delivery drivers I’ve ever encountered and so personable. Super impressive! So. she explained she would go right back to the store and get the missing soda. Which she did. so impressive.
As my GF and I opened the pizza boxes we were disappointed by a few things:
–One of the pizzas we ordered did not have the garlic crust topper (as previously mentioned).
–The other pizza had one of the toppings wrong, but we felt bad so we didn’t want to mention it.
Also, when we ordered we were told that each pizza came with free dipping sauces, which we did not receive. We called the store hoping that we could catch the delivery driver before she left to come back with our missing soda. When we called, Taylor said the sauce issue would be corrected. When Nicole came back with the soda we realized she never received the message about the missing sauce. She again promised she would make her way back around, even though we told her she didn’t need to. She did come back for the third time with the missing sauce so we gave her an extra tip.
The only redeeming quality of this place was the delivery drivery, NICOLE. Top notch girl. We question the management/​leadership especially considering our order was placed on a slow Tuesday evening, yet many errors.

We were tipped off to Marco’s from my sister who is a fan but we didn’t try their food until we received a coupon in the weekly circular. Since then, we’ve ordered delivery from Marco’s about 5 times. The pizza we get is hand tossed with the old world pepperoni (thicker cut and smaller diameter than traditional pepperoni). Amazing! They offer crust toppers that add extra flavor to your pizza experience. We typically get the garlic crust and it’s extremely flavorful. Their cheese sticks are extremely comparable to Topperstix which I love — cheesy and doughy goodness.
We usually place our order online; their website is extremely easy to navigate and you can place your order easily. We’ve never waited over 30 minutes for delivery and the pizza comes extremely hot. The delivery drivers are cordial and friendly. I have called Marco’s on a few occasions with follow up questions to make sure our order was correct and everyone answering the phone was extremely helpful.
We are very satisfied with Marco’s and will continue to order from here.
