Are you kidding me. Outstanding! Got a wait in line if it’s the right time of the evening. Good service friendly waitstaff willing to help you out if they can. Coming back for more and more and more. This place is a must stop!

This was one of our final Lenten fish fries on our Friday fish fry tour and we saved the best for last. We started taking photos and the bartender got a little suspicious and finally asked if we were food critics or Unilocalers… relax we told them… no big worry.
Personally I think they don’t want everyone to know their dirty secret that they have an amazing AYCE fish fry for $ 9 and cheap cocktails! Seriously a round of four tap beers and a top shelf cocktail was only $ 14. My friend had a Jäger shot that was a whopping $ 2.50! Also, the cocktail pours are VERY strong.
For $ 9 the fish fry is a great deal but don’t expect too many frills for that price. You can choose from german potato salad or fries as your side. The potato pancakes are a $ 2 upcharge and you can add on soup for an additional charge. We stuck with the tater salad and fries. The fish fry also comes with marble rye bread and an extremely tasty cream based coleslaw that had a hint of horseradish in it. The cod comes out family style with the fries and is piping hot… so hot you can’t eat it right away. The cod was flaky with a very light hand breading.
Two people in our group didn’t want fish… crazy! The cheeseburger was given rave reviews especially since they are focused mainly on the Friday fish fry. Typically this would have been an afterthought but it looked delicious. We might have to return just for the burger!
Jill our server and Lisa the bartender did a great job at serving our group. The only downside was that we have a 7:30 reservation but were not seated until 8pm which was okay because a couple of friends were running late. It looks like a place that gets VERY busy early in the evening and then slowly winds down to the 9pm close. If you want to go early in the evening during Lent you should make a reservation.

Five stars, baby! Another fish fry hall of famer. My idea of a good, old fashioned Wisconsin fish fry is exactly what Randy’s provides. From the moment you walk into this modest, corner bar, you know something special is happening there. It wasn’t as crowded as I’ve seen it but we had a later reservation.
The drink prices are beyond reasonable and a more jovial staff I have never seen. Lisa, our bartender, was quick with a smile, a joke and our drinks. Jill, our server, treated us like family. The guy setting up and clearing tables was making conversation with us as well. It just makes you feel good to be there.
The fish: bargain of the century, AYCE magic. Hot, flaky, cod with a hint of garlic in the batter. The French fries?? LAVA hot, crispy and perfect. Ok, even humble, mostly ignored by me coleslaw gets an emphatic 2 thumbs up. It wasn’t the creamy kind but a vinaigrette style with major crunch and possibly a bit of horseradish.
I almost don’t want to post this review because I want this place all to myself.
