Great sandwich shop. My husband is a big fan of the meatloaf sandwich and my favorite is the cheesy joe! Omg… delish! Can’t wait to try the breakfast and a Bloody Mary!

I came by on Tuesday for a bite(5÷24÷16). Amazed at the mess that was outside. Thought I’d lend a hand by bringing in some of the baskets, bottles, cups, and garbage. Found no one behind the counter, or at the register; and didn’t see anyone on the floor. Placed what I had in the nearest bus tub, and stepped up to see the menu. Placed my order for a Usinger’s Brat with caramelized onions and spicy brown mustard on a pretzel bun; a grape Né-Hi; and water. The wait was a bit long, but when it arrived it was delicious. Only plaint is the amount of ice in the cup of water. It was about ¾ full of ice, and without a straw which made it difficult to drink from. The girl was accommodating by getting a refill with less ice. I don’t know what their reason was for poor service on this day. The food is still good, and worth another return trip. Chalk it up to having a bad day, and maybe expecting too much. If this happens again, then maybe there’s an issue I’m not fully aware of. Be aware should you visit for breakfast or lunch.

We loved our breakfast, which was delicious and a lot of food for a good price. We can’t wait to come back to try through lunch menu.

Well the first thing you need to know, is the proviso that this is a family business for over 50 years is not accurate. I talked to the owners and they said they’ve owned it for about 15 years, and didn’t say anything about carrying on a family tradition. They have a nice selection of cheese and sausage but prices! Oh my God! $ 9 a pound for Jim’s Summer Sausage? Jim’s isn’t even that good. Prices were nuts. The sandwich/diner menu looked really good, but $ 8.99 for biscuits and gravy? Bottom line? A nice little joint for people that don’t really need to pay much attention to prices. P. S. The owner told me they rejected carrying Boars Head products because Boars Head insisted on no other brands in the deli case. This is simply not true-I visited Piggly Wiggly on W. National in West Allis and they had Boars Head and many other brands in their deli case.

Seriously the nicest people and the most delicious food you will ever taste! The owner just refunded my bill for a to go order because I’ve been waiting a few extra minutes. Seriously, I don’t mind the wait when they are busy.

I had the deep fried cheese curds to-go with marina and it was amazeballs. I was only in town for 2 days so I had to rush my cheese experience in Wisconsin and I definitely would come back for more!

An excellent place to go for brunch. They make top notch bloody marys with an abundance of tasty fixings, including grilled cheese, which was delightful. The food itself is impressive. I purchased the hangover burrito, which was chalked full of succulent sausage and expertly blended goodness. Do yourself a favor and eat here. You will not regret it.

Great food! Takes a while for the food to come out. Last time I was there the cashier handed me the ticket meant for the kitchen, so my sandwich wasn’t made. I finally said something, not realizing that she had given me the ticket meant for the kitchen to tell them what to make. It was not a big deal, but what surprised me was that the person who seemed to be in charge did not apologize for the mistake. I had waited for over 20 minutes for nothing.

Everytime I eat here I am glad I did! The sandwiches are delicious! They have daily specials, I had Wednesday’s Santa Fe turkey. They also have build your own. I suggest adding garlic Mayo. They have a cute cheese and sausage shop attached. I eat here I am glad I did! The sandwiches are delicious! They have daily specials, I had Wednesday’s Santa Fe turkey. There are two parts to this sweet little store: 1) A grocery type store where you can purchase a lot of different types of cheese, sausage, jams, condiments, and a variety of other edibles. 2) A café where you can choose one of the many types of grilled cheeses they have on their menu or build one of your own. Honestly, it is this second part that keeps me coming back for more. I love the variety of options they have and like experimenting and hope to one day figure out what the optimal grilled cheese is. Also, the cheese curds at this place are great. Definitely try them out.

First time here, they just got slammed, no seats and a long line. Whole team kept their cool. Food was outstanding and staff very friendly. Will be back.

DAAAYUM!!! There’s a really good sandwich shop really close to my digs! I’ve been meaning to knock this one off the list for a while, but parking isn’t ideal on the East end of Stallis, and if there’s anything I hate more than people who say«Bae», it’s tight street parking on busier streets. Now I have to deal with it. This place was great, I’ll definitely come back. I started out with caffeine(large Mocha, please) and an order of Poutine. Coffee was decent, nothing special. The poutine was really good, but they used a chicken gravy(at least it tasted like chicken) instead of a beef gravy, which I prefer. Also, they should crank up that temp on that gravy to get those curds nice and gooey, but it’s still tastes great. I also had a Stallis Stack, which was a ridiculous stack off four meats, two cheeses, some honey mustard and a few green things so I don’t feel so bad about myself after eating it. What a great sandwich! Bacon! Salami! Ham! Turkey! Provolone! After all that meat and cheese, the WA Fire department and the Paramedics pulled up; I thought I was having a heart attack but it was the 80 year old woman sitting a couple tables down with the rest of The Golden Girls. Lunch and a show! I finished my lunch by heading into the deli that’s attached to the café and I bought some curds and sliced cheese to take home. You haven’t had grilled cheese until you make it with Garlic Cheddar cheese. Will come back!

Every dish is fresh and made to order! You will absolutely be satisfied everytime. It’s New York specialty deli in the middle of West Allis! The food is extraordinary! Flavors that slap your tongue and make your stomach smile. I have never ever ever been dissatisfied going to West Allis Cheese and Sausage. Trust me and try it once and you will always come back! Oh and the cheese deli side of the place has a huge vast selection of awesome cheeses. They let you sample before deciding.

CAFE: Excellent breakfasts, nice selection of sandwiches/lunch choices. Comfortable, clean establishment. My wife and/or I have been here at least 20 times in 2015, and we have yet to be disappointed. LARGE selection of bottled soft drinks to choose from, and a nice selection of Wisconsin beers and micro-brews to go along with your lunch. CHEESE/SAUSAGE/GIFT SHOP: Large selection of good cheeses and sausages. Wisconsin products are featured in the market area. Cheeses, sausage, jerky, snacks, syrups, knick nacks, sodas, wines, and micro-brews, etc., etc. They offer very good Sunday ham and rolls. They can make deli party trays, with cheese sausage, deli meats. TIP: If you need help selecting cheeses, sausages, deli products, ask for help. The staff in any business cannot read minds. Personally, I don’t like to be hovered over while shopping. Any time we have asked the staff for help in making choices, they have been more than helpful. OVERALL: Great food, reasonable prices, nice selection, clean and neat throughout. Family owned and operated. Owners overcame a devastating fire a few years back to rebuild a nice business. They also have a location at the Milwaukee public market. Proud to have them in West Allis.

I stopped by this cheese shoppe when visiting relatives. There us ample street parking. Employees are helpful and kind. There are so many cheeses and sausages to choose from which are reasonably priced. I had a good experience and would recommend you to visit if you are in town.

I keep forgetting how close I live and work from this place. Great lunch menu… I need to come here more often for lunch! They have a wide selection of Wisconsin made products like cheese, beer and wine. I plan to cater a platter from here soon

My wife and I had brunch in the café a few days ago. Had a BLT, some kind of scrambler, steamed milk and coffee. All good, tasty, reasonably priced. Lots of other good looking stuff too. And, they have a pretty good drink selection. Wine, beer, simosas, etc. There’s also a cheese/sausage/beer/wine shop with a pretty good variety of stuff which all seems to be products actually made in Wisconsin. Neat!

Came here today for the first time with my daughter for lunch. I was excited to try their deli because I’ve heard good things. I told the young woman at the counter that it was my first time there and that I’d need some time making my selections but she didn’t seem to care to acknowledge that or give me any suggestions, etc. After skimming the menu, I ordered the bratwurst on a pretzel bun and the liverwurst sandwich. I was really unimpressed with the brat. It was bland and tasted like it had been boiled in water for hours. The liverwurst had a generous amount of liver inside and I enjoyed the bread that it came on, however it was really dry. A few slices of cucumber and a very light spread of mayo would’ve done it some justice! The house made potato chips were good, a bit greasy for my liking. I was expecting to be blown away given all of the positive reviews but I left a bit disappointed. My rule is that I try a place at least three times before I completely cross it off of my «restaurants to frequent» list. On a brighter note, the gentleman in there seemed to be very accommodating. I don’t know if he was the owner or not. I realllllly wanted to love this place. West Allis cheese and sausage shoppe, I’m not giving up on you yet! :-)

This place deserves 5 stars based on its selection of cheese curds alone! I didn’t know they made them with jalapenos now! I only stopped by to pick up some curds, but the shop had an adorable little restaurant/bakery with what appeared to be local brews(alcoholic and non). Great little stop in West Allis!
