I really do like Urban Joe Café but the very limited hours makes me dock a star. They open at 8am on weekdays and that makes it impossible to stop in for a cup of coffee or even breakfast before work. They close at 3pm, so likewise, not able to enjoy one of their yummy sandwiches after work! They even have a cute bar… have you ever thought of Happy Hour?!

The food is excellent and GF friendly. I have had very good luck ordering lunch here and even getting soups or sandwiches Gluten Free. On the downside they have some of the most limited hours of a restaurant. I have tried to go on several occasions and they are closed because they close at 3 or they have been closed for a private event. Be sure to call ahead to make sure they are open, they are worth going to but their hours can be frustrating.

Came here for the first time for lunch and wanted to order a salad. No spinach available… so the salad I wanted was not ready«until the boss came in» Lady taking orders was upset I didn’t want milk in my tea(I can’t have milk) she never offered me any milk alternatives. She refused to give me a whole small size just a half of a small since«this stuff is expensive«as she said. I paid for a small & appeared upset I wanted the whole cup filled with tea. The salad was 7.99& the was just some lettuce in a To go box. Never coming back here. I was extremely uncomfortable because the food wasn’t good, lady extremely rude.

Great service and good food. Their sandwiches are freshly made and taste amazing. The staff is friendly and warm. We go here often and have never had a bad experience.

I have three boys 10, 12 and 13 and they really could find anything on the menu they wanted. All of them had the chicken soup which they said had good flavor however it was mainly carrots and celery. The oldest ordered eggs and sausage which was good. I had a crêpe which was okay but a bit too much sauce for my liking. I may try it with an adult for lunch but definitely not kids. Part of my disappointment is that I called ahead asking if it was good for kids which they said yes.

Had a great experience and a great sandwich and urban Joe’s. The place is kind of urban modern inside very clean very contemporary. Out front on the street there are some tables for streetside dining. I had the Philly Panini which was good but the bread could’ve been toasted a little bit more. My wife had a sandwich choice from anything on the menu with gluten-free bread. There vegetables are organic and the service is friendly and prompt. They had beer wine and cocktails available I will go back

Love the food and service. They will treat you like family. I cannot tell you what is not real food– I have been there on a night a woman wanted processed ho-hum salad dressing. I converted work friends to the food and now it is minimum 1x per month. Love everything, good delicious food and coffee/tea a family ran restaurant is made with love!(And is great on weekends for date night when the run Live Music and other promotions :))

Way to go, Urban Joe’s. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Nestled between 70th and 71st on Greenfield, parking is normal for West Allis. There is two hour parking available directly in front of the café. The interior atmosphere is modern and cozy. It has a nice café vibe, but you are wrong if you think that coffee or tea is the only thing they serve here. Upon entering, you will see ample seating for a café and a modest bar. Both staff members greeted me as I walked in, and allowed me to seat myself and offered a menu. In true café style, they have a chalkboard menu posted up, but because I was there for lunch the paper menu was easier than craning my neck. My friend ordered the chili and I had a crêpe(strawberry, banana, and nutella, yes, please!). Both were spectacular. The presentation was also nice. Our server, Amanda, was very attentive and patient. Urban Joe’s has a variety of options available, from salads to crêpes. Sandwiches, wraps, and paninis are available gluten free! During my dining experience, several customers came to pick up lunch orders, and with such yummy and fresh options, it’s easy to see why! Bottom line: Great service, awesome food. Like the terminator, I’ll be back!

One of my favorite little lunch spots. They offer a nice variety of items on the menu using mostly local and organic ingredients. The atmosphere is very comfortable and I’ve always had nice service. I only wish there was a downtown location so I can eat here more often.

Fresh scratch food and great service. Another Stallis gem. The interior is somewhat underwhelming though. there are nice chairs in the front, and they have the street deck during the summer. However, i was just looking for a more defined feel while i was in there.

Finally an organic and locally sourced café in the Milwaukee area. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. The service was good. We took a long time deciding and changed our minds a lot, but the lady at the register was very patient and kind. I got a gluten-free wrap and it was delicious. They were out of gluten-free bread when we were there so the wrap was a nice alternative. Everything was fresh and tasty. The interior is very interesting. I like the feel of the place it is not pretentious.

The servers were attentive and friendly(after an initial confusing minute), suggesting menu items and checking in frequently. I had I think the«steak and ale» sandwich, which was delightful. Their Nutella and fruit crêpe is also good, and tastes fresh and homemade. Good atmosphere and coffee selection as well. I can see this becoming a frequent haunt.

Coffee is great!!! Everyone we went with ordered omelets and loved them. The ingredients were super fresh. The crepes were good but not the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely be back.

A little gem in West Allis(the Stallis has few). The food is amazing & always fresh. The service is wonderful. Everyone is so kind & knowledgable. The harvest salad is a favorite. If your in the area, there’s nothing like it around!

This place is exactly what I’ve been looking for in Milwaukee! Good and healthy food for a reasonable price in a great atmosphere! I have gone 3 times this past week and enjoyed everything I had. The California sandwich was delicious!

Good food. Savory crepes were delish and steak and ale sandwich was awesome. Definitely worth a try. Prices great, especially considering the higher quality of ingredients. Very happy we found this place.

Have been there twice for breakfast, got the build your own burrito the first time, and the Voulez Vous crepes today — both very good. Also had a bridal shower catered by them with a couple sandwich trays and the Harvest Salad — delicious and well priced for the quality and quantity of food we received. Love that they do the suspended coffee too — a great addition to the area!
