The food and service is mediocre. They put too much sauce on everything too! The food is average and so is the service even when there aren’t many customers in the restaurant.

Great food! GREAT PIZZA! come for pasta night. I had some of the best linguine with clam sauce I’ve ever had and it was a great deal!

I live in Los Angeles. I miss Café Gio when I am out west but come here every time I am on the island

great pizza and calamari. Did not love the pepperoni bite but everything else was delicious.

Pretty good pizza. I highly recommend the garlic knot slice, really delicious. Lots of options of specialty slices also.

Gave this place another try, WOW everything was great ordered hero, pasta and pizza… delish .The delivery kid was nice as they get you don’t see that anymore.

I have loved Café Gio for years now. A hidden gem in a shopping center on the service road, I was super surprised at how fantastic it was the first time I went. Excellent Fried Calamari. The house dressing is TO DIE FOR, I really think they need to bottle it and sell it. My favorites: fried calamari, lobster ravioli, chicken danielle, chicken sophia among many others! A must try for dine-​in or take-​out :)

I’ve always liked Café Gio. We used to go there all the time. Great food! But I went there tonight and I was totally grossed out! At the pizza counter, they exchange the money directly over the pizza!!! OMG I almost puked. I ordered a Buffalo slice. It looked really good. So the girl says $ 5.25 and I go to hand her the money and I realize that there is no way for me to hand her the money without exchanging it directly over a pizza pie!!! Only half the pizzas are covered by glass. The rest of them are sitting right there waiting for your pocket lint to drop right onto them. I almost cancelled my order but I figured what the heck, I’ve probably eaten worst things that I didn’t know about. But this is a problem with a lot of pizzerias in our area. It’s a health code violation! But for some reason, these shop owners think the health code only counts when the SCDHS inspector is in the house.
As for the Buffalo chicken slice. It was good. Very tasty. Too much blue cheese dressing for my taste. They should put a less blue cheese dressing and replace it with crumbled blue cheese and it would be perfect. But overall the slice was pretty good.
They really need to do something about the pizzas not being covered where the money is exchanged. It’s gross! I really drives me crazy that the owner and everyone working there doesn’t realize how disgusting this is. I won’t be back unless they correct this.

I use to go to café geo all the time but these last six months I found that it went down hill my daughter and I ordered pasta to get delivered it took forever to come and when it did it was horrible dried out the portion was so small, that was just one example I could go on and on. Bottom line I stopped going plenty of other places to go giving one star cause I have to.

I just moved to the area only a few months ago but for awhile have been wanting to try Café Gio, Oh well! glad I finally tried last night. Decided to take mom out to dinner and everything turned out as expected, the Service was great .Mom s spinach pizza was quite tasty and my Chicken Pizza was really good. They also give you a lot of garlic knots which are also succulent. The only drawback at Café Gio is the wait but it is what it is. Will be taking my Cousin there next week for a Birthday lunch I cant wait to get her take on it.

Wanted something a little different for dinner so I ordered Rigatoni Toscana to go when I was 15 minutes away at 5:28. I was told 20 minutes — sounds good, right? Mind you, I’ve been warned that they always underestimate, so when I arrived at 5:39 I sat in the car listening to the radio until 5:49. Went in to pick up my order and was told ‘It will be right up’ Okay, but I noticed a brown paper bag on the back table that was just about the size to hold my order with the house salad it comes with. Maybe some one else’s order — so I wait. 5 minutes later I’m told again ‘It will be right up’ and the brown bag is still sitting on the back table, so I’m starting to get a little annoyed. So guess what? At 5:58 I’m presented with the same brown paper bag that’s been sitting on the back table the whole time ‘Rigatoni Toscana? It just came out’ the counterman says. I reply ‘It’s been sitting there’ and he says ‘Oh, no it just came out.’ So I pay and drive home — 3 blocks away. Needless to say the 3 pieces of lettuce that was supposed to be a house salad were almost cooked, the pasta was overdone, and the whole dish was barely room temperature. It was very tasty and well prepared, but for the price I’ll pass on ordering their dinners for take-​out. I do love their specialty pizzas, and pick up slices at least once a week — or they would have only gotten 2 stars.

This place has really gone downhill. Terrible service, the manager is unprofessional and has a bad attitude and worst of all the food is gross! We decided to stop eating there because the atmosphere is terrible and so we ordered in a pepperoni pizza and they delivered a box of slop. When I called for the manager, he was nasty and basically didn’t care. Don’t waste your time or money!

Everything is great here! Atmosphere, food, employees, etc. Sometimes we get the special with a pie and meat ball parm hero and knots. Good deal. The spinach slice is yummy and grandma slices are just like grandmas! Lol

Lunch Specials are enough food for a dinner. Good food. Don’t order stupid stuff. Stick to simple red sauce Italian and pizza. Why would you think that a pizzeria makes good Thai food?
Relax. The guys behind the counter are gonna give you attitude. It’s a wise-​guy thing.
Don’t bother trying to figure out what the slice girls problem is. She’s just a b! tch

Ordered the minestrone soup to go tonight. When i got home and opened it up i immediately realized its the same stuff from a progresso can. Soo disappointing. Tasted like metal. In the garbage it went.

Great food and service and a huge thanks to them for being a huge supporter of the arts and donating to Diane’s Dance Center in Lindenhurst… Garlic knot pizza is out of this world. And the service is outstanding… Thank you so much!

I took a Realtor continuing education class on Sunrise Highway Saturday and had just 40 minutes to Unilocal,travel, purchase and eat lunch. I choose Café Gio, due to its proximaty and reviews. Still a bit hung over from the previous nights revelry, I choose to eat hearty. I ordered an open faced grilled chicken sandwich with a huge slice of mozzerela cheese, and some greens. I don’t remember the name of it, but it was OMG good. Didn’t even need the side of vinegarette good. Like, did Paula eat that entire sandwich good? Yes, that good. And it’s on the North side of Sunrise Highway, which I travel on, on my way home from work. Mmmmmm.

Mmm first slice of NY pizza I’ve had and it was here, and very well worth it at that.

Pizza’s awesome esp. the chicken parm slice. Restaurant part is ok but overpriced. Still a great place, though.

Pizza is pretty good, the restaurant has some good weekly specials. They did get new kiosks for a reward/​loyalty system that the staff knew nothing about, and referred me to come back when the owner is in as he is the only one who knows how to use it.
