I ordered a wrap from here and it fell apart. The old owners were way better. I feel like its amateur hour at this place.

This is a cute little bagel place that apparently has been in the same location for many many years. However, it is under new ownership and has been for the last 8 months. We showed up about 15 minutes before close and while the selection of bagels were limited we were able to find two dozen that we wanted to take home with us to Virginia. We don’t have decent bagels down there. My husband grew up in this area and remember the bagel location and sure enough it was there. Not only did we get our two dozen bagels, but the owner very kindly tagged app an additional half dozen just because. What a pleasant surprise! I’m so glad we stopped there.

Now that this place is under new management and changed its name to Grandpa J’s, I am updating my review. The bagels are in better condition and taste good. They had both everything and wholewheat everything bagels during my visit, a must for any respectable bagel shop. More importantly the everything bagels have salt on them. If there’s no salt, it’s not an everything bagel. The place is small but what they have is pretty good. There are a few booths for those that can’t wait till they leave to eat their bagels or deli sandwiches. Not a bad choice if you’re in the neighborhood.
