Dee-lish! And the first time I was ever asked«would you like fluffy or flat» for my omelette. I chose fluffy and boy was it. Great little diner tucked away in a strip mall.

I love finding local family owned hole in the wall breakfast joints and this one is no exception. I love me a good warm breakfast and this place consistently delivers each and every time. Tucked away in a strip mall between a BBQ grill and furniture store is Café Rendezvous. This place is tiny but what it lacks in size it makes up for in character. The cooks always welcome you with a smile on their face and they seem to know every other person who comes in, so it makes for a cozy casual setting. It’s a long narrow space with the kitchen and bar height seating on one side and booths on the other. I’ve never had to wait for a seat since it seems as if people are in and out quite quickly or maybe I just miss the morning rush, but overall they can squeeze a good amount of people in. They have your usual two egg breakfast with hash browns and a protein, but they also do the sweet entrees just as good. Their specials board is right when you enter and has an array of options you can’t find on the menu so don’t miss it when you walk in, there’s always something delicious! Their omelets are always impressive, and they give you the option of fluffy or flat. This is the only breakfast joint I’ve been to that gives you this option, and they completely deliver on the fluffiness. It’s like digging into a cheesy cloud of goodness and something I would recommend trying out. All of their benedicts are always on point from the perfect hot poached egg to the creamy hollandaise. Breaking open a perfectly poached egg or over easy egg fills my heart with joy. My boyfriend always lets me do the honors of breaking open his poached eggs since I enjoy it so much. Overall, the service is good, the food is delicious, and their poached eggs melt my heart :)

Amazing pancakes. I don’t know how they get them so fluffy, but they actually melt in your mouth. Pecan encrusted French toast — absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to try the monte cristo and the omelettes, since I know I’ll be back… probably often!

I cannot believe we have not been here before today. We saw the reviews in Unilocal and decided to give it a try. I had the corned beef omelette and my wife had the crab omelette. Both omelettes were delicious and we were very happy. The coffee is strong which in my book is very good. The menu is amazing and there are many more items we want to try in subsequent visits. This is not a run of the mill breakfast spot. It may have the look of one but the menu and food are gourmet. The place is tucked away in a small strip mall but it is definitely worth seeking it out. The staff was very friendly and we could tell many of the customers are regulars.

Wow, this place is hidden. I drove past it the first time, but I am glad I turned around to find it. The food is amazing! I tried their Mexican omelet and it did not disappoint. It was a huge omelet with lots of flavor — the salsa on top really added to the flavor. Be sure to check the specials board when you walk in — some of those sounded interesting as well. Can’t wait to eat here again!

This place is a gem! Truly, their omelets are phenomenal. Flat or fluffy! Their ingredients are always fresh. I opt for the fruit instead of toast, and it’s always fresh, sweet, and a complete variety of berries and melons. Delicious! I love ordering the fresh squeezed OJ, and egg white green machine omelet. My fiancé orders an omelet with 2 egg whites and 1 yolk. Sometimes I get the lox and bagel combo which is awesome! They could have a better selection of bagels, but they do have the basics… plain, egg, and onion. The owner is always there, very friendly. The staff is pretty friendly and always seems to get the order right!

We have been here a few times and ordered breakfasts, so that is what I will review. We have yet to try anything other than breakfast items, cause they are so dang tasty! I order off the specials board, and so far nothing has been bad! The turkey and sweet potato hash was surprisingly good, and I have had a couple of the scrambles. My husband has had an eggs benedict, and a couple of different omelettes, all really great. We also tried their multi grain pancakes, and those were tasty too. I keep hoping when we pop in to see the Ukrainian sausage special on the board. I have heard it is amazing, but I haven’t been lucky enough to catch it. O well, we will keep going back until I do :) Definitely a great hidden gem!

Sat down here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised they serve my favorite eggs benedict! everything about it looked good, hashbrowns cooked perfectly and not saturated in butter, the eggs were text book poached! sadly the reason for the 3 star was the hollandaise sauce. the sauce was bland, lacked any taste and if it wasn’t for the eggs being perfect this would have been a dry meal.

Stopped in with the work crew. Cozy little place. The coffee is terrific — I drink it black. I ordered the banana French toast and enjoyed it. Made with cinnamon swirl bread, thick sliced banana, pecans and cinnamon drizzled with a thin banana syrup. The banana syrup was super tasty! Don & Andre ordered eggs Benedict and chicken sandwich. Don claimed the poached eggs on Benedict were prepared perfectly but the hollandaise was less than savory. Andre enjoyed the well seasoned chicken sandwich and salad.

Despite a pretty unique and tempting board full of specials went with the Veggie omelette, hash browns and side of bacon. Many times at busy breakfast places, so many different things are cooked on the grill simultaneously the flavors all get mixed together(which is not a good thing). This was not the case and the eggs were fluffy and veggies were abundant in what was probably the best omelette I have had in recent memory. Hash browns were just crispy enough, but without the sometimes«overly greasy» taste you get after a breakfast rush. I LOVE crispy bacon, but usually you have to request it. So if you are not a fan of crispier bacon, might want to mention before ordering. The staff was attentive and very polite and the owner/manager dropped by a few times to check on how everything was. A definite great place to stop in for breakfast.

This review is for carryout only. I ordered an omelet on Mother’s Day morning for pickup. I was about a mile away when I ordered and I was already in the car. They said«it will be right up». Sure enough, when I arrived, it was packaged up and ready to go. Green machine omelet has asparagus, spinach, broccoli, feta and avocado in it. Avocado is cooked in the omelet i.e. it is hot which is a little odd; would be better cold on the side or on top. Came with hash browns and toast. $ 10.60 so a little pricey. Menu is in Unilocal pictures(currently pics 18 – 20). Big specials board when you walked in. Cooks thanked me on my way out.

I meet my father here once a week for breakfast. Both of us are very picky & we love Café Rendezvous. From the basic bacon & eggs to exquisitely planned & prepared omelets with yummy combinations of ingredients, everything is top notch. Lunches are pretty amazing as well, with unique combos and fabulous soups. Friendly staff, with the owner doing most of the cooking. Kinda tricky to find, on EAST side of Orchard Lake Rd. just NORTH of 14 Mile/Northwestern, back a bit in the plaza next to This-Is-It Fireplace &BBQ Grill shop. so watch carefully.

Previous reviews and pictures intrigued me to try this place, but it turned out to be nothing special and disappointing. Pictures gave me higher expectations and so did the reviews. Why? I’m not sure. The french toast was clearly nothing special, basically store bought bread dipped in eggs and placed on a griddle. I was hoping for their interpretation and their creativity and received the same dish you can get at any Denny’s. I did ask the server about their cornbeef and hash, if it was fresh. She said that it was and everything was homemade, but with the delivery of the French Toast, I didn’t chance it. Would love to see and hear is not canned.

The name Café Rendezvous made me anticipate a place that’s a little more upscale but the food did not disappoint. It’s a classic breakfast diner place but a little cleaner, not as if diners are not clean, but this place is more clean cut. It’s a smaller place than most diners and the menu reflects that. They have a huge specials menu on the chalkboard as soon as you walk in on the left, maybe 20+ items. I ended up having something from the specials board, the wild mushroom omelette, with added jalapenos. And it was quite fantastic. The cheese, poussin? pou-something… was awesome in the omelette. It was soo good that I almost don’t want to try something else the next time I am back, and I will be back. I also had the lemon rice soup with chicken meatball and it was also good. It’s not as good as the one I’m used to at a different diner, but that’s because this one’s home made and has more flavor and freshness. And the one I’m used to is just rice in a chicken stock jous loaded with lemon. lol. The waitress was real friendly but there was just the one so I can imagine that even with the small size if it gets real busy service could be slow. Overall a total recommend.

Came here because I seen it had such great reviews on Unilocal. It is definitely tucked into that shopping plaza! We almost passed the driveway, but luckily caught it & were able to turn just in time. I ordered the green machine omelette, and my fiancé ordered steak & eggs. We both thought there was decent people watching(considering the size of the place), good food, good service & a nice atmosphere. I didn’t think it looked like a dr’s office, but maybe they’ve remodeled since those reviews? We were both looking forward to coming back since there were a lot of delicious sounding items on the menu — until we received our bill. $ 26! $ 12 for an omelette??? I realized that it was $ 1 extra to add meat, but must’ve overlooked the $ 1 extra for egg whites on the menu. Regardless, $ 12 is kinda steep for an omelette. It was good, but definitely not worthy of $ 12. His steak & eggs were $ 10, which seemed a little pricey for what he got. Needless to say, we were disappointed when we got the bill cause we knew we probably wouldn’t be back. If we do go back, I’m definitely checking the prices and cost of add-ons!

Went for brunch with my family of four and was able to get a booth. It was a bit confusing when we drove by looking for it. I’m glad we did end up finding it because my picky eater 2 yr old loved his French toast! Also I have no idea what they did to their wheat bread but my 4 yr old ate 4 slices after already eaten his eggs and some hash browns. I had the country scramble which was ok but I wished I had ordered the steak n eggs. Boo… Steak envy? Oh also we loves that they had raw juices! Was pretty good.

Not your average breakfast place! Banana French toast was a big hit and I’ve never been asked whether I wanted my omelette fluffy or flat? Fluffy means REALLY fluffy, air-like, really light… I prefer the healthier omelette with egg whites and veggies and this fluffy choice left me feeling full but not weighed down. Loved it!
