Just started going here a few months ago. Nice friendly people… gym goers and staff. Big variety of equipment. So much to do, you could stay busy for the whole day.

I’ve been a member of the JCC since I was a kid. I really enjoy working out here and the fitness center has really improved over the years. The executive locker room is a quality place — they do your laundry for you so you don’t have to schlep sweaty clothes home. There’s a nice TV lounge in the executive locker room too and nice dry and wet saunas. Spinning classes are also pretty good, but is dependent on the instructor. Since Jim Issner took over as CEO there have been countless visible improvements. The staff seems to be more focused on keeping this a 5-star environment. I highly recommend.

Its a nice place to work at as a caregiver && also a great place for seniors to live in.

Not only am I an employee of Jewish Senior Life, but also a memeber of the JCC! I absolutely love swimming and working out here. I have not had the pleasure of dining or purchasing a beverage from its vendors, but I have shopped in the gift shop. :)

This is like the Mall of America of Jewish Community Centers. As far as the gym goes, the offerings are immense. Perhaps too immense. But there are multiple indoor tracks, multiple basketball courts, multiple swimming pools, and I believe(though maybe am mistaken) tennis courts. Besides this, there is a full service Jerusalem Pizza(cousin to the Southfield location), and a brand new Chazzano Coffee Shop(cousin to the Ferndale location). I don’t believe Milk and Honey(the Prentice restaurant) is open any longer. But what gets me driving down Maple, past the 2 extremely ridiculous traffic circles in the perilous darkness, is the cultural offerings. The Jewish book fair offers a week of local and renowned authors giving talks. There is usually a big name, too. This year it was Gary Shteyngart(for free!) and a few years ago it was Michael Chabon. The center also hosts concerts(the Jeff Haas Trio was there a few years ago featuring Marcus Belgrave). I will never drive this far to work out, but the other offerings make the JCC an important cultural center.
