The selection was great, and I picked out a nice formal dress there for a special evening (not a wedding dress). The people working there seemed nice and helpful.
However, the gal they have doing alterations was not very good; I ended up having to take my gown elsewhere after she «fitted it» to have someone else «fit it» in addition. :-/

I went here in 2007 looking for a bridal gown. After going to many shops in the area, Lansing and elsewhere I thought I’d swing by this place since it was close to my house. At the time, I wasn’t thrilled with the customer service — the then manager was a little snotty and not incredibly helpful. Ironically enough I still found my gown here, was able to buy it off the rack at a nice discount, ended up getting my bridesmaid dresses there (also got them a discount), and got my alterations done there. Overall I walked out a happy bride though I wished for a better experience.
I went back this year for alterations for a bridesmaid dress for my friend’s wedding. She decided to go there because her dress was from David’s Bridal (she didn’t want to get it altered there) and the place we got our bridesmaid dresses failed to impress us. I was thrilled to learn that the place is under new management, the old manager was out of the picture, and the one seamstress I had issues with was gone.
What’s left is a wonderful little bridal shop. Although the dresses are on racks basically everywhere it’s not completely overwhelming to look through them. The ladies there do want to help, they do not speak English as their first language so be patient! Also, the seamstresses did a very nice job on both my problem bridesmaid dress (the design was just off and had a very wrong silhouette) and my friend’s bridal gown.
I would recommend checking this place out for bridal gowns, bridesmaid dresses, or any formal/​prom type dress. If you aren’t expecting spa style service and to be worshiped this is the place — however, some brides expect much more and may be disappointed.
