Salon Domani

Went in with a groupon for a cut and partial highlights for $ 41 and left very happy. My stylist was Brittany, and she really took her time to hear what I wanted and checked in periodically before doing something irreversible. She did a beautiful job — the hair looks beautiful.
The salon itself is large and clean, and they provide beverages for their customers. I saw they had manicure /​pedicure services– think I’ll be back to try those out :)!

I love this salon. It is very clean and not crazy noisy like so many beauty salons. Alynn is my hair stylist and I have been going to her for over 30 years, think I am loyal? She recently moved to this salon and I am so glad she did. The experience is very relaxing and enjoyable. The front desk staff is very friendly.

I just moved to MI almost a year ago and was very hesitant on finding a stylist being that it’s hard to find someone you can connect with and who actually listens. So I found this one through promotional coupon and saw they had good reviews. Needless to say i found my salon and stylist. They were so nice. Alyson was my stylist and I will follow her everywhere. She listens and gave me advice on what to do and we talked about what I wanted and did exactly that. Alyson is Very personable and a sweetheart! She does eyebrows too, did a good job. The place was nice, it’s a decent size for a salon. And they didn’t treat me different because of a coupon. Treated me like I’ve been there before. It was comforting. Ask for Alyson she is amazing!

Just had my hair trial for my wedding with Christine and she did a beautiful job. I brought in a few pictures and she nearly replicated them! Salon was very clean and staff was very friendly!

I’ve been going to Shilo for my cut and color for years, so this review is long overdue…
Shilo recently did my hair for my wedding. She also did hair for the rest of my wedding party (three bridesmaids and two moms). She was great! I had no idea what kind of hairstyle I wanted, but Shilo must be a mindreader because my hair looked PERFECT.
My entire wedding party loved her and they all looked great for the wedding.

I’ve been going here for a year or two now. The reason I go here is Alyson.
I’m very particular about haircuts and once I have a bad cut somewhere, I won’t go back. Well, maybe someone else at Salon Domani would have done an equally great job, but I’ll never know, because Alyson cuts my hair and does a great job every time. Besides her styling skills, she also always remembers our past conversations and we can pick up right where we left off. Pretty impressive.
I referred my wife to her and she’s sold on Alyson, too. She’s even cut my 6-​year-​old son’s hair. I’d send anyone her way. She’s the best.

Went in for highlights and lowlights. The stylist ask me to pick out a pic from a magazine. I did. In fact, I took a picture w/​my cell of the photo I had chosen. She went on and on suggesting an hombre and how it would look great, etc. I said ok. I should have ran for the hills! It was horrible! It was not an hombre, it was a root job! 2 inches from the roots is not an hombre! And guess how much I got charged? $ 146! I don’t know why I didn’t say something while I was there. I just paid and left in shock. I called back and asked about the charge and was told that $ 126 was for cut and color (I paid that for cut and foils at other places) and an additional $ 20 was for hombre. Last laugh was definitely on me and my checkbook. After 2 weeks, I swallowed my pride and went to another salon and paid more money to have this great idea of her’s corrected. The girls’ jaws hit the ground at the other place when I told them what I paid at Salon Domani. If you’re sitting in that chair and you get that feeling to just get up and run… do it. Don’t get taken like I was. :(

I usually get my hair done by Anika and my mom gets her hair done with Shilo. We have both been very happy with their services (coloring, highlights, conditioning treatments, cuts, and blowouts.) I’ve never had to wait long to get taken back for my appointment, and they’re always done with our hair in a timely manner. Good selection of magazines and snacks in the very cozy waiting area. Pricing is a little high… but fair.
Only bad experience… last time I went there, I added on a brow wax and was really shocked at the poor quality. The girl did thin out my brows, but didn’t give them any shape whatsoever. They just looked like slightly narrower versions of the scraggly mess that they were when I came in. When I told the stylist who did them that I was unhappy with them, her response was «well, they’ll grow in.» Ummm or you could do your job and fix them… just a thought…

This Salon is WONDERFUL!!! I couldn’t be happier with my experience and hair result. I am so glad I found this salon. Jarrod cut, highlighted and gave my hair a Moroccan oil treatment. He is not only very easy to talk to, but very talented. As I looked around the salon, I noticed adorable cuts/​styles in every chair on both «old» and «young.» The owner; Anika introduced herself, in between clients. She is simply lovely!!! You can tell the she, and her staff enjoy working at the salon, and make their clients not only look great, but enjoy the experience too!!!

Salon Domani just opened up this past year, and they’re off to a great start so far. Look here for new products, european influence, and an open atmosphere. Some hair salons put you in a hair stall and you feel isolated during your cut, but Domani’s floor plan and gorgeous black mirrors make you feel comfortable to look around and see all the other styles in the making. My hair colors got a significant upgrade in richness and depth, and the cut of my hair polished with sophistication after my first visit. Not sure the mani/​pedi station will make it, but we’ll see where it goes. I can’t wait to go back and talk about hair. I love hair!
