I was looking for a Christmas tree farm close to Boston so I decided to give this place a try. A little disappointed that there were only small trees(approx. 3 feet) for cut-your-own-tree option. But there were freshly-cut trees shipped from Canada and NY. Eventually settled on a pre-cut tree. It is CASH only as well. Very friendly staff. But I am not sure I will return next season though.

I LOVE Eva and Richard King. They are the sweetest, kindest, and most loving people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They are very knowledgeable in their work and have an unparalleled gift of caring for and loving everything they do and everyone they come across. Go visit their tree farm. You, along with the many others who have entered, will feel the immediate glow of energy that lights the place up. You will fall in love with the Kings’ tree farm. I promise.

Hands down my favorite plant nursery I have ever been to! Mr. and Mrs. King(along with their dog Django) and a bunch of helpers run a place that is better described as an experience than a «store». All of the plants are outside on the Kings vast land. The King’s are like a living history of the Merrimack valley region — Mr. King can tell you stories about these towns when they were still all farm lands. There are frogs, turtles, toads, and other amazing animals close at hand while you’re looking at a gorgeous selection of some of the nicest plants you’ve ever seen. The variety is incredible, and the quality is unsurpassed. No artificial fertilizers are used and Mr. King swears this is why deer don’t bother his plants. He knows everything about every type of plant he sells and can answer whatever question you’ve got. I can’t stress enough just how nice it is to be out there though — the drive over a tiny bridge, the«turtle crossing» signs, the acres of amazing plants to explore — and most importantly, the Kings themselves — 2 of the nicest, happiest, and most interesting people you could meet! Absolutely worth checking this place out.

If you are looking for lilacs, this is the place to go. It’s probably better to go in the spring, when lilacs are actually blooming and the place is aglow with lilacs of every color and the scent just wafts on the breeze, but fall is a good planting season, so that’s when I went. It’s kind of a mom and pop shop, and the two people who I interacted with were super nice, not to mention the old friendly dog. I can’t wait to see my lilacs in the spring! Bring your checkbook; they take cash or checks. Open Friday-Sunday 8am-5pm Labor Day to Thanksgiving weekend or by appointment. GOINTHESPRING!
