Sears does not stand behind their products. We purchased a $ 1200 French Door Refrigerator that had an electrical problem at 3 years old. The light inside the frig started shorting out, which could have cause major damage if we didn’t catch the problem right away. When looking this product up, we were told that other models had been recalled but not this model. Too bad that it almost caused a fire in your home, but we would be happy to sell you a new refrigerator. Interesting that they don’t get that a $ 1200 product should last longer than 3 years. This frig also had a fan that needed to be replaced at 2 years old. When we called the Sears repair department, they sent someone to our home(at a fee of course) and then the wait began for the part. We were told that since the frig was only 2 years old parts were not kept on hand for this product. Go figure, something 2 years old should not be breaking down. Anyway, it took about $ 250 and a month without a frig to repair that problem. Interesting as long as you are spending money, they are your best friends. The tables turn quite quickly when you are talking about a product that leaves a lot to be desired. I was a fairly loyal customer before this happened. Unfortunately, they will not be receiving my business again and I will make sure to spread my experience with friends, family, and any one else that wants to listen.
