Came here on a stormy Monday evening after a weird trip to Ikea. I have heard of Champp’s from my time living in Washington but I’d never actually eaten there until now. The restaurant was nice and clean, very well decorated. The dining area was large and we did not have to wait for a table as it was a weeknight. Our server was friendly and greeted us right away. He made some suggestions after I asked what was good. Reading through the menu I found a few things that sounded good but there was always something that made me hesitate. I eventually settled on the Carolina burger and we decided to split the appetizer sampler. The appetizer came out fairly quickly but wasn’t all that impressive and I feel like I could have purchased most of the stuff from the frozen food section at Kroger. The highlight was probably the potato skins, everything else was meh. I only ended up taking one bite of my Carolina burger as I was full from the appetizer sampler. It tasted like… a burger. Nothing special at all. My waffle fries were lukewarm, not hot at all but were tolerable with some of their house-made ranch dressing. All-in-all I was not impressed and probably won’t be dining here again.

Great restaurant for food and drinks. My favorite is the quesadilla. Make sure to come here to watch a game — at least 17 TVs.

I came here expecting to find a sports bar and happily found a quality restaurant instead. The restaurant was the perfect size and layout so that people can come to either enjoy sports TV or a conversation-fueled dinner with family. I wasn’t bombarded by scoreboards. The food itself was very enjoyable. Coconut shrimp were fantastic, the crab bread was good but tasted more like cheesy bread than any hint of crab, and the broccoli chicken pasta was a hefty portion and rich flavor. I will definitely come here again.

Champp’s is a chain in scattered places across America that has found itself tucked in between Red Robin and Steak n Shake at Westchester’s popular open air shopping center. The only one in the greater Cincinnati area, Champps’ focus on classic American burgers coupled with brews and sports is a winning combination. The food there comes in large portions and looking over the menu, you’d be hard pressed to not find a delicious appetizer to start the meal off. The burger’s really are delicious and I couldn’t even finish my meal last time(a shocker for anyone that knows me). The atmosphere is extremely inviting as well, with the place hosting all kinds of events nightly, from DJ’s to contests, you can come for the food and stay for some fun.
