We live 45 minutes away and get here maybe 3 or 4 times a year. I don’t like corn beef so I usually get the fish or meatloaf sandwich with a potato pancakes which are good. My wife gets the Reubens and loves them, in fact she likes the corn beef so much that she will by a pound to take home. The waiter knew we had a long ride home so he packed the corn beef with a small bag of ice to keep it cold. Wish they would put a location closer to Dayton, we would go more often.

I haven’t had a Reuben from this place in years, but found myself here for reasons of convenience a few weeks ago. I wanted something lighter for lunch and I generally love both chicken and tuna salad. They offered both– separately and as a trio with a third salad I can’t recall on the plate. I wanted to try both so went with the trio. Talk about disappointed! Both were, to be frank, awful. My advice, do not come here for anything other than deli type sandwiches. Their renditions of deli salads need serious work. Service was fine.

A decent Reuben sandwich. Not sure what all the fuss is about. The potato cake was an interesting side — taste great with a dab of brown mustard. Great service and friendly staff.

Nothing special… The classic corn beef Ruben is one of my favorite meals to eat. As soon as I realized what Izzy’s main dish was I had to try it out. Service was good but for the price the food sucked… The corn beef was dry and there was not enough sour kraut on the sandwich. Also the flavor was not there. Potato cakes were alright(nothing to go crazy over). My meal with a pop was 13 bucks… And that does not include tip. #overpriced #nicepeoplealrightfood ** if you’re looking for a mean Ruben, try out Cracker Barrel.

It’s nice having a good sandwich shop near work, and a Reuben with a potato pancake, brown mustard, and plenty of those crisp dill pickles on the side is a good way to spend lunch. The only downfall I see is that it misses the hustle and bustle of the downtown stores where you’d hustle through line, sit down, and get this decadent sandwich served up to you. The burbs I guess can tame anything, so this store here tends to be more casual and the portions feel smaller bu that could just be me. As such, it’s just better if you’re carrying out.

A staple in the Cincinnati community. It took me a while to try this place out after moving here, but I should have don’t so sooner. I am not sure if the sandwich I order is actually on the menu, but they make it for me every time. I go with a turkey and roast beef on ciabatta bread, topped off with Swiss cheese. I add on a potato pancake to complete the dish and always leave satisfied. Izzy is great for lunch so stop on by if you have one near work.

The Tommy, no onion, with a potato pancake. This is one of my absolute favorite meals. I’m not a big reuben person, but everyone I take there LOVES the reuben. I would advise against the hot brown. The turkey reuben is decent. Service is typically so-so at every Izzy’s I go to, but is always delicious!

Yummy! I love corned beef and pastrami sandwiches so any place that serves them is perfect in my opinion. I enjoy the Reuben when ever I go. But what I really love at Izzy’s is there potato pancake; super delicious and really crispy!

Apparently, I used to eat at the Izzy’s downtown all the time when my mom went to meet my dad for lunches during the business week(I don’t remember, as I was between the ages of 3 – 6). I stopped in the new location in West Chester a few days ago and was greeted by a brusque and husky but jolly counter worker who said«whaddayawant?» before I even had a chance to glance at the huge menu. My mom explained to me that this is the way of Izzy Kadetz-apparently the workers really scream at each other and customers downtown. I was ordering carry-out for my boyfriend and myself and I was advised to try the Izzy Combo, a mix of corned beef and pastrami with Swiss on rye. My boyfriend isn’t a huge fan of corned beef or Swiss cheese so I scanned the menu for something without either. I had settled on the Hot Brown but was quickly shooken off the idea by the counter worker, who wrinkled his nose… guess Izzy’s Hot Brown isn’t so good. I picked the Joe Walter Combo, a huge sandwich stuffed with freshly shaved turkey, roast beef, and American cheese, and named after a Bengal’s player, can’t beat that. My guy was grinning from ear to ear as soon as he took the first bite. My Combo was good but I wished I had gotten the Reuben, I don’t think I like corned beef much without sauerkraut. Both sandwiches came served with an enormous potato pancake(I know they’re famous but I wasn’t a huge fan… they were kinda mushy, but that could just be because they had been in a to-go box. I did like that Izzy’s included two large packets of Gulden mustard for dipping, though, it was the perfect condiment. Quick service! After I had finally decided what to order it took just two or three minutes for the workers to assemble my made-to-order sandwiches.
