Service is not that good. You order and they make you wait without even notifying you that there will be a wait. They notified me after waiting for a long time without letting me know ahead of time. They seem to be so disorganized.

This place is so gross. The food is beyond oily and extremely tasteless. The menu is so limited, you can choose between 2 types of chickens and 2 types of noodles, all of which are nowhere near delicious. The ONLY good thing here is a warm dessert that is almost like flan and boba mixed together. Other than that, don’t come here if you want edible food.

The st____dest employees have got to be working here. Tonight was the 3rd time these idiots messed up our order. One time is ok. But 3 times? I have had enough of this place. So if you order for pick up, please don’t just double check. Triple check! There’s not a lot in their menu but they still manage to screw your order up. It’s not even a special order. Geeeezzz! Giving them 1 star because I can’t do zero star.

The noodles are like the those of the«instant noodles» type. There were 3 tiny cubes of beef and 2 very small wonton in the soup. Very very different from what it was before and the one they are showing at their commercials. Just go to Mami King

do not order the fried garlic chicken. I ordered with fried rice which was salty. Chicken was nearly burnt dark brown and the ‘garlic’ portion was almost bitter in taste. Came with sweet lumpia sauce. terrible. should have by passed this entrée and ordered siopao.

Food is ok, but the place looks a little neglected. Dirty walls makes the place look pretty cheap. Staff was nice. Their halo-halo has been further commercialized and barely has anything on it. Mostly ice.

Closing time doesn’t mean anything. If they run out of food or anything they are done. Apparently they can’t plan ahead or heaven forbid have some surplus. If you want to close early on a Sunday have shorter hours. They had 1 hour till closing. If it was 15 mins till closing its another story. Plan to come early if your even hungry because they won’t even go above and beyond to tell you what’s available even if it’s just rice that’s out that’s a total store closure.

I came here once awhile back to get some siopao and the wait was ridiculously long(40 mins). I didn’t come back for a long time. I came back again today for congee soup for my son(2 yr old) and after waiting 15 minutes and watching other customers get their food when they ordered AFTER me, I asked why the long wait. Their response was they didn’t have anymore soup left so I had to wait another 15 – 20 mins for a new batch. So they decided to make me wait a total of 30 – 40 mins instead of telling me from the beginning how long the wait would be. I could have just went next door and got it. Terrible service! I am a local and i will NOT be returning here. Don’t recommend this place at all unless you have an hour to spare on fast food that’s not even that good. There are better ones in this shopping center.

Their siopao was better before had more meat I love the«chicken Bola Bola». Seems like it has smaller amount of meat lately & price is reasonable.

My order was simple… A bag of their frozen siopao and 2 orders of taho. But it seemed like my cashier JOANIRA thought otherwise. She was banging on the register like I ordered the entire menu. I was taught my manners and made sure to smile, say please and thank you after my transaction was completed. She walked away and I took my bag of siopao to a table to wait for the rest of my order. That’s when she walked over to me and then proceeded to bag my siopao. Honestly I didn’t think much about not having a bag for it. But it was the way she approached me with an attitude that she’s was doing me a favor. I like the food and would come back because I gotta kill my taho cravings but management really needs to hire employees that … I don’t know… Maybe actually enjoy customer service? Just a suggestion. Anywho… The siopao was pretty tasty :)

I love their Siopao, Siomai & Gulaman. It made me feel I’m in Pinas lng. Service is friendly, close to a supermarket & other Pinoy stores, very convenient and parking is not bad at all. Neat & clean!

Ambience 3 star– its a standard vinyl chair fast food establishment. Food 3 stars– Not very good in terms of real food, but its fast food so Its average quality. I’ve had their siopao here and its just okay. They keep it in a steamer so its warm which I appreciate, but the bun can get really doggy and mushy because of it. My parents like yo go here to get Halohalo. They say its really good, but I’ve never tried it. I’m just not the biggest fan of Diabetes in a Cup. Service 3.5 stars– I’ve always had friendly nice service here. The only problem is that they’ve forgotten stuff. Like I ask for a cup of water and thy forget to get it for you, etc. Not a big deal because I’m able bodied, but my dad often takes his halo halo sits down then has to get back up to ask for napkins and a cup of water or something like that. This place is a solid fast food joint. I would still return.

ok so this is basically the restaurant form of me because its chinese filipino and their beef wonton is so fake, it makes me odd because I CANTEVEN. It only has two pieces of beef and its pretty expensive ngl. Very fake chinese food so yoy should probably only order the filipino food…

My family comes here often for Taho, which they really like. I’m not a big fan of that snack/drink so I can’t really comment. I can comment on their breakfast. Tried their Tapsilog(tapa, garlic fried rice and a fried egg). Their tapa is just salted and super dry. No tapa flavor at all. Just some sliced meat, probably leftover from another dish, salted and fried. Their rice is typical Filipino fanfare. Eggs are eggs, I guess? I wouldn’t come here for breakfast though. Do yourself a favor and go to Bamboo Bistro across the way for a breakfast buffet. Or maybe DJ’s if you want some flavorful tapa.

Food is great BUT employees are rude and doesnt know what they doing specially the shift manager(took my order) he doesnt smile or give any suggestion or give any idea what is there new product. After ordering we waited for our food to come out… finally they brought it out with any condiments to go with our siopao and wonton soup and top off that no spoon and fork come on how can we eat our food??? and he only gave me a couple sauces for the siopao and he turn around and went to his office pretending he’s busy… im calling out to the management of chowking pls. Train your employees and your managers accordingly(company standards) 2 star for the food…0 for the employees…

I swear this location has been remodeled three times since I was 7 years old. Anyway their menu seems to be… Americanized now and not pleasing anymore. I mean c’mon, seems like the food here has nothing special about it. Id rate this place as an overpriced place and if you want real Filipino food. Go to Totos which is just down the hall from this place. Whatever happened to their King Size halo halo???

Giving it four stars because I’ve been coming here since I was about ten years old. It used to be a five star fast food restaurant until they changed their menu — again– and most of their items because salty and started tasting the same. I feel as though this place has become way too Americanized. I used to come here because it made me feel at home again but everything now just feels like another fast food. Also, their air conditioner is fantastic however at times it can be too cold that you wouldn’t want to sit down and eat your food. They should really work on the room temperature. Their music is way mainstream and loud and might make some older people bitter. How about some Filipino music? You can never go wrong with that. On the plus side, their manager is amazing. At least I believe it’s their manager, maybe an immediate supervisor. He is very attentive and respectful and try to get your order ready ASAP.

I came here for a specific reason and that is to try their crispy soy chicken. My friends were raving about it. Let’s break it down. It has chicken, they gave me a small container of soy sauce, and lastly crispy — if you burn your chicken of course it’s going to be crispy. I ordered mine with chow mein(dry), steam rice(at least they got this part right) and 2 mini sesame seed balls(these were actually good) and a regular soda. All for the same price of a Big Mac meal from macdonalds. There’s a plenty of parking outside. The dining area is clean and the tables were spaced out well. Air conditioning was excellent. Music is loud(why is that?) quite distracting, Soda refill is free. Needless to say my trek to Chow King in West Covina was a disappointment. If I do come back I’ll try something different. I’ll give this place a 2.5 for their Crispy Soy Chicken.

I used to come here for chicken and rice. I just don’t know what happened when their food became salty for me. The place is clean and plenty of parking since it’s right beside Seafood Market. I would probably try Chow King some other time just to give a follow up review.

Went here in between lunch break with a co worker… First thing I noticed was the crazy amount of calories in each meal… but other then that food was decent on the fly and cheap… And service was good… Fast Asian food I guess…
