WARNING!!! RAWPORKSHUMAI — If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I used to like this place until they served me shumai with large pieces of raw pork. Two orders and each piece was raw. After biting into one I was compelled to cut open the other pieces. This is disgusting.

Poor service. Was told a 15 minute wait for sesame balls. Took 20 minutes instead and they still left that off the order. Incompetent service.

I used to love this place cause it was closer to my house and it filled the void of dimsum when I craved it. Slowly I’ve been noticing that they sell out of things like ha kaw and chicken feet, I made sure to ask them if it was just sold out for the day and not gone from the menu. They assured me that they still have it just not for that day. I continued going there but seems like every time they’re always sold out. Finally when I went today they had a list of things not available for good. Ha kaw, rice cake, lotus leaf rice chicken and some other stuff are permanently gone. I mean none of their food is amazing but I liked that it was convenient. Now that they don’t have most of what I like, I won’t be going back anymore.

Another update. This is probably my last update as I will never be coming back. Raw pork in the siomai is no good. I hope I don’t get sick from this.

To have some dim sum any time of the day with no long lines and waiting for that damn dim sum cart with the pork n shrimp sio Mai to come by. Trying to flag them down. Well you don’t have to wait any longer. This will help with your dim sum fix. My favorites are the pork and shrimp sio Mai and the shrimp Hargow. It comes super warm and fresh. This place is surprisingly good considering the dim sum comes from a take out window. I’m not sure but I believe Filipinos are the owners here. Great job. I’ve also tried the salt and pepper chicken wings & salt and pepper pork chops. Always comes piping hot and so tasty!!! I also had the fried rice. Everything is made to order and always warm & fresh at all the time I have come to visit. There is a $ 15 minimum if you want to use a credit card. I only wanted an order of pork sio Mai and I totally forgot about this $ 15 minimum. I only had my card and no cash. But the lady was super nice, accommodating, and made an exception. She said it was ok no extra charge fee using my card either. Such a nice surprise. This place is my quick fix for good dim sum. Oh and their egg custard tarts are pretty decent too.

It’s not the best dimsum but it does its job. Quick service, larger than normal pieces and is tasty. They had all my usual favorites– egg tart, sesame ball, pork shumai, shrimp hargow and boba. I love how it’s run by Filipinos too– but what do you expect when you live off Amar in West Covina? Expected more but got what I was craving. Another heads up– it has a B rating!

It wasn’t too bad overall if you averaged things out… the shu mai was pretty darn tasty… the steamed pork bun was pretty bad… the seasame balls were pretty good… the rice cake was horrible… If I’m in the area and have a hankering for shu mai, I’d be up for grabbing some again… but not much else.

It’s a good place to purchase fast dim sum food. My cousin ordered the wonton soup and I ordered century egg congee. The congee didn’t really have much taste. However the workers were so so polite always had a smile on their face. They have stamp cards where if you purchase something 5 times you get a free lunch.

First time here and it wasn’t bad! It is NOT a sit down place, remember that. It was a little confusing not knowing exactly what we were gonna get, but we still did enjoy. Good food and the serving sizes are good as well! Shrimp balls we good, the mingolian beef was great too!

I. Love. This. Place. Everything I’ve had is phenomenal. They previously had a B health rating(not sure why!) but now they have an A. My favorite is the BBQ Pork Fried Rice, as well as the steamed pork buns. They also have these awesome lunch deals where you get an entrée, rice, and two pieces of dim sum for like $ 6. Everything is relatively cheap and you get lots of food. One time I waited maybe 15 minutes, and they apologized and have me 2 extra pork buns and have me a larger drink. Everyone is so nice! Good to note: $ 15 credit card minimum. During lunch it’ll take a few minutes longer depending on what you order.

We’ve been coming here for the last few months now and the food has never disappointed. Ordered catering here for my daughter’s 3rd birthday and it was a hit with our guests. Yes, it is a little pricey, but I think it’s worth it for what you get. I, too, wish that they would sell dim sum by the piece like when they first opened, but who really wants just 1 siomai anyway, right? Sometimes service can be hit or miss because they forget something or mess up an order, you just need to be a little vigilant, that’s all. Best option for dim sum in the area, unless you want to make the drive to Rowland or MP.

After being open for a year it’s time to reflect on the business. A little less pristine and more tarnished than when they first opened, I’m a little disappointed that they haven’t updated the basic items on the menu to include more items that I would be interested in: No pan-fried turnip cake(low-bok-gow); No fried pork dumpling«footballs»(hom-sui-gok); No chow fun; I can get these things from Dim Sum Express in MP, and yeah I know, location is everything. Another thing that’s changed is that they don’t offer dim sum by the piece price anymore which is one of the main things I liked about this place; if I only wanted two haw gow and two siu mai then that’s all I wanted to pay for. They’re also not as busy as I first envisioned them to be so the food doesn’t turn over as rapidly as when I first tried them and not as fresh… The dim sum honeymoon is over…

Promising but never going back. As per the other reviews, prices are too high for what you get. Greasy and way to salty — tasted like a ton of msg. You won’t find me at the dim sum station again. Too many great dim sum spots in this area to settle for for a one-star location.

I love this place. A focus on quality and freshness. A small, simple menu but everything is really tasty. The best part is they’re open until 8pm(8:30 on Friday and Saturday.) The Shu Mei is great, so is the Har Gow. The Sio Pao is sweet and steamy. Each portion will run you about 3 – 4 bucks, and there is a $ 15 dollar min on credit/debit card orders. I recommend calling ahead and placing your order so it’s ready when you pick it up.

I really wanted to like this place because it’s so close to my house it’s not even funny and I hate the traffic that must be endured to get good quality dim sum. Unfortunately I will continue to make the trek over to Rowland Heights/SGV for deliciousness. This place does make a decent effort at dim sum, but the prices are a bit much, for what it is. Not to mention the soy sauce and hot sauce they give is not even brand name. I’ve tried(using chinese names): Har gow Siu Mai Danta Fong Zhao Combination Noodles Of the things I ate, I would say that I mostly enjoyed the danta — although I may have enjoyed it because it was free, since they had one left. The har gow and the siu mai were ok, but I’ve definitely had better for way cheaper. I believe an order is upwards of 3 dollars where I can get it at a Chinese to go place for like upwards of two dollars, tastes way better and hands out better soy sauce. Oh, and I asked for mustard and I got American mustard??? Very confused… Skip the fong zhao here. It’s totally tasteless and feels like you’re just eating… skin. I mean yeah that’s what it is, but really, it’s not seasoned. At all. And it’s depressing. The noodles are by far the biggest bang for your buck, but I can make better noodles at home. It appears that they freeze these noodles pre made and heat it. It was a bit hard still when they served it — could have used more time on the wok. I don’t think I’ll be returning and will continue my stress inducing drives to Rowland Heights and SGV for decent dim sum.

I usually get the BBQ pork fried rice $ 6.95 here. It’s ok. But don’t use the soy sauce packet that comes along with it. Not alot of seating. The staff was quick with my order. $ 15 min to use card.

Hospitality Management 101: Never make a customer feel really awkward or dumb. It’s just bad for business. Posted on their website is a 10% off if you share on Facebook. Why not, shared and done! Up until now, I kinda liked the place and wouldn’t hesitate. I arrived and dutifully claimed my 10%. The clerk was befuddled and then stated that he knows nothing about it, that he’d have to talk to his manager(that wasn’t there), the POS doesn’t give him that option if he wanted to, that they only give discounts for quantity orders, and then assuredly stated he knows other dim sum places do that sort of promotions but not theirs, etc. etc. Immediately on my phone I was looking their website up to show him he I wasn’t trying to take him for a few bucks. Must have tired waiting, he cut me short by asking, «Do you still want to order?» I guess my 3G wasn’t fast enough and was blowing me off about the situation. It perturbed me. Especially since I was the only one there. Really, it was only pocket change. However it was about principles. Sure, I’d still like to order, I stated. Paid and he thought that was that. After a few moments I showed him his work’s website, he was a bit dumbfounded. He recanted, but still didn’t give me the discount. I’m sure it wasn’t a big deal to him, not his business. The owners fault really. Don’t make promises, changes, deals without telling your workers. Makes for a really unpleasant and awkward situation. Which means no business, at least from me. I’ve been here a few times, I appreciate what they do and what they are. It’s good for what it is, a fast food dim sum place. Not many around. However at the end, if I wanted bad service, I’d go to a real dim sum place. Thumbs down, with a Bruce Lee 1 inch punch. But as always know what you think. «Share the Love» Photo:

the ONLY edible thing is egg tart. Service was super fast and nice, I got my order in 3 mins… I did not have high expectation about this place but their food is way below average. I haven’t had such bad quality dim sum for a long time… it reminds me some kind of cater service food when I was a kid? Ordered: Pork Sio-Mai $ 0.75 Chicken Sio-Mai $ 0.75 Ha-Gow $ 0.85(shrimp Dumpling) — skin is too thick and shrimp is not fresh at all Steamed BBQ Bun $ 0.85– steamed too long, the bun tasted mushy. Egg Tart $ 0.75– at least it is flaky. Very thin crust and running filling. You can get way better quality one at 85c or any Asian bakery for same price. Chicken Rice in Lotus Leaf $ 1.75– Usually I don’t like this dish, but their menu is so limited so I decided to order it too. Not yet have courage to try it after had so much bad ones. Their sio-mai or bun’s filling are just whatever, you can barely taste what is in it. Their food quality is REALLYREALLY bad. It’s probably the same as those cheap frozen one you can buy at Asian supermarket that not come from a name brand manufactory. The soy sauce pack they give you tasted kind weird too. $ 15 Minimize for using credit card. They do have few tables outside if you want to sit there and eat.

Instant fan! Sure, it may not be restaurant quality, but this place is great for express dim sum. My bf and I ordered: –Har gow –Siu mai –Lo mai gai(rice wrapped in leaves) –Pork and century egg porridge –Fried shrimp balls Everything was pretty good! And somehow, I really liked the chili sauce packets they gave us, haha. My favorites were the lo mai gai and fried shrimp balls. The taste and texture were to my liking and I appreciated that fact that the shrimp balls weren’t too oily. The flavor of the porridge was pretty good, but it was way too watered down. Unfortunately, they don’t have as much dim sum variety as I’d like, but what they didn’t have in dim sum, they made up for in Chinese fast food menu items. I would’ve preferred more dim sum items, but oh well. What I’ve had here, I liked, and that’s all that matters to me.

I had high hopes for Dimsum Station after reading all these 4 and 5 star reviews. But, after coming here twice to try their dim sum, I cannot give them more than 2 for the food. Dimsum Station is a take out dimsum joint located in the Filipino plaza located at Amar and Azusa in West Covina. The dim sum here is Yum Cha Café quality — not very good. The pork sio mai are bigger than normal, but, is not restaurant quality. The Har Gow was probably the best thing they had. But, it is expensive at 85 cents a piece. Chicken feet here are called Adidas. They are cooked perfectly, as the chicken feet were nice and tender. But, the taste is off. It was more sweet than anything else. It also smelled like glue. They price their dim sum by the piece. Most of their items are between 75 cents and 85 cents a piece. The are a few things that are less, and some that are more. When you look at it by the piece, it sounds pretty cheap. But, if you multiply it by 4, you do not have a bargain. Most dimsum restaurants give you 4 piece of dim sum for under $ 3 on weekends and even cheaper on weekdays. They also serve fried rice and chow mein here. The use a soft thick noodle for their chow mein. I tried their house special chow mein. It comes with lots of cabbage, cha siu, and squid. I thought their chow mein was decent. I would have preferred it if they had crispy noodles. Service is very good. The cashier was very helpful. When I showed up yesterday for dinner, they gave me samples so that I could order it next time. Because the cashier was nice, I am bumping it up to 3 stars. I would not come here again for dim sum. There are too many good place 15 – 20 minutes away in Rowland Heights. The dim sum here is mediocre at best and more expensive than the Rowland Heights dim sum joints. Even the good service from the cashier won’t bring me back.
