5 stars is underrating the service I recieve when I get my haircut with Monica. She is the best! I mean for years of doing what you love, wouldn’t you also?
After a few visits– she has yet to disappoint.
Monica never assumes, she asks tailored questions and the end result is the cut that I want, on EVERY VISIT (without me cringing and pretending I like it when I face the mirror.) She also offers so many tips and advice during the short process. All while being charismatic & uplifting. What else would you want of your stylist?
So if you not only want the hairstyle you ACTUALLY ask for, but also want it at a low price while making a great friend. Then go in and ask for Monica for your next cut! :)

April is amazing! I messed up my hair by trying to bleach it myself, so i had uneven spots and sections everywhere. I went it worried that i had ruined it for good, but she made me feel so much better! She fixed all the bleached spots that I had messed up, and she dyed my hair. The color that came out is so amazing! It’s like a reddish-​purple color. I love it so much! I recommend going to April, she knows what she’s doing. Thank you April!

Worst Customer Service!!!
Took my son for his haircut. We were a walk-​in so the lady with the short hair said it would be 45 min than walked away someone else walked up to the register and asked if we wanted to put our name in. So we did. As we waited an hour already we noticed walk-​ins were going in and nobody would acknowledge us. Worst service ever. Why take our names if you aren’t going to go by the list?
We will never be back!

Wow. So I come in for a haircut. Was told to come back in 15 mins. Which isn’t bad at all. So I come back and the lady with the short frosted hair takes someone before me while another is just a standing around talking up a storm and at times just staring blindly out into the passing crowd of the mall.
So frosty doesn’t say anything just gives a filthy look while I stand there waiting. Unbelievable.

I wanted to cut my hair much shorter to rid split ends so Desiree cut my hair and did a really lovely job, it’s even and just how i wanted it. She’s friendly, the cut was quick but not rushed, and i’ll definitely ask for her again when I go back!

Suzette is the best! I drive from downtown LA to West Covina to have her cut my hair! I have done this for 5 years!!!

I went in today as a walk in, I was skeptical because other places ive gone to get a haircut they chop my layers super short. I had Stephanie As my stylist. Not only did she keep my layers a perfect length on my short hair but she didnt cut too much off the length. I LOVE this cut. My hair looks super healthy and perfect. Couldnt have asked for a better cut. Thank you stephanie! I will surely be coming back.

Went in asking to get appointment with Monica. ¹⁰⁄₂₄ She was booked till 4pm. I made the appointment to come back. Well guess what? She was gone! Didn’t call me. Just left. My number was on the master callender at front desk. When i asked were she was these two stylest at the front desk just shrugged there shoulders. Not one of them cared. I told them they lost my business. I believe one of them was the manager. Never go back

Lizz did an amazing job on my hair! She listens to what you want and does exactly what you ask for! Which seems impossible to find now a days. highly recommend her :)

Worst customer service. Went in as a walk-​in. Stood awkwardly at the front desk waiting for the stylist to wrap up their conversation and the lady with grey hair (didn’t even give me a name) had an attitude as if it were wrong to book an appointment today. Definitely lost a new customer. Didn’t bother showing up to my appointment. Went down to Marinello School of Beauty and got way better service from students.

Very satisfied with Anna, all of my friend complement me with my haircut, color and also highlights, and I am recommend to all of my friend to see Anna.

$ 16.95 + tip = messed up hair !!! You do get what you pay for. Suzette had cut my hair and wow. It’s the worst hair cut I’ve ever received ever. She does not know how to cut woman’s hair. And all I asked for is to cut ½ inch and she cut like 3 inches off … I asked for layers. She gave me layers but it was so damn choppy and so uneven. It’s going to take me months again to get my hair longer so I can get it fixed by an actual professional. Suzette needs to go back to school and learn how to cut hair all over again. She either has lost interest in cutting women’s hair or she just doesn’t know how to cut women’s long hair. Period. Never again I will get my hair cut by Suzette. Don’t waste your money … Invest in a good hair stylist and your hair.

I got impress with haircut yesterday that I brought my 2 kids and my wife for a trim and coloring. I spend a lot but we became a beautiful family.

Desiray gave me a great wash, cut and blow dry. She’s always friendly and quick but not rushed, and I always appreciate the hair tips that I receive to keep my hair looking amazing. I’ll definitely continue returning to this location and request her.

The 5 stars are for LIZ. Haven’t had my hair cut in years & I love my length, even though it was extremely damaged with even just a trim she managed to bring the healthiness back & there was no awkward silence. Really happy with my cut & will never let anyone else touch my hair. Thank you Liz

Was told an hour before closing that they weren’t taking anyone in. There were not too many people inside already getting a cut and 4 – 5 stylists there. Sounds like someone just wanted to leave early.

Suzette is the best!!! If you don’t go to master cuts to have her color or cut your hair, there’s absolutely no point. Suzette not only gives you the style or color you ask for– she also does it with the health of your hair in mind. I always leave the salon happy and I always get tons of compliments.

This place is a pretty good place when I went months before. It’s more of a management issue probably. I had got my haircut from a lady (don’t know her name, sorry) and Megan, both do cuts really well.
I just went in a week ago to try and bump into some familiar faces, but I think it’s new people.
And then «The Boss» actually gave me an attitude saying that I didn’t sign in earlier and they can’t accept anymore customers, if she had said it in a more friendly tone, I would have really understood. It is a service type place so she should know her customer service.
I had spoken with a girl ten minutes earlier and she told me to come back in an hour, but apparently I had write my name down. Luckily I didn’t wait the hour and went back.
I was hoping for a haircut before going to the gym right across the place — Two birds one stone… Sadly that didn’t work out.
If anyone knows where Megan went… Please let me know! She did the most epic haircut.
I think I felt like giving a 3-​star rating if it wasn’t for the system for the appointments — It’s an issue. And 4-​star rating if the boss was courteous and polite, but maybe she was having a real bad day.

I’ve never had a negative experience at Masteruts. It’s not a swanky over prices salon but these ladies know what their doing. I usually go to Suzette but when she’s not there all the other girls have done a great job for my daughter and I. Always clean and staff is always friendly. The only negative is that they do not take appointments so sometimes there can be a bit of a wait. But then again, you’re in a mall so time goes quick.
