Happy Wok

It’s no different than any other Chinese place. Same menu, etc. this place does have some good lunch specials though, and the food is always ready when I go to pick it up.

We pick up so not sure how long delivery takes but it is always been a very quick place to go and pick up your order… Their lo mein is great, love the dumplings and of course any of the other appetizers have always been tasty… Prices are in line cheaper than a couple of others around

Meh… The food is okay. Nothing new from all the other Chinese place. Plus might I say there is an underage kid working there who might be the son of the owner!

This place is terrible to say the least. Many others say this place is far superior than others in the area, which may be true for some dishes. But that doesn’t automatically make Happy Wok good. They’re just the best of the worst, which is still bad. I’d stay away from this place, they constantly screw up the orders. They take extremely long for delivery (I’m 1.5 miles away, they take 1 hour + constantly). Asking to speak to management is flat out refused. The food, I might add is terrible.

I wanted to like this place, but just because the food is hot doesn’t make it edible. I got the Gen Tsao chicken & an egg roll. The chicken was that balled up, veiny mystery meat and the oil it was fried in must have been old. The sauce was sour and scarce. The egg roll had a slimy texture inside. Threw it away.

The only place we get chinese from. It’s actually the only place that makes all of our favorites the way we like. Chicken fried rice, lo mein, wonton soup, General Tso’s and Sweet & Sour chicken are all fantastic snd always fresh. The staff is super friendly and always seemnhappy to see you.

What first drew me to this place besides the fact that it was close to my house was that they offered online ordering. After ordering take out from here several times, I decided to try another place. The other place (Victory on Cooper St. in Deptford) was decent but I found myself realizing that Happy Wok was significantly better.
The last time we ordered, I got an order of cheese wontons and chicken chow fun. The cheese wontons were still hot when they were delivered and they definitely don’t skimp on the filling. The chicken chow fun was delicious. I started ordering chow fun after attempting to branch out from my usual order of sesame chicken or lo mein and I was definitely not disappointed. It had tons of chicken, delicious veggies, and a very flavorful sauce. The b/​f had wonton soup which had plenty of wontons in a yummy broth. He also loved his chicken chow mein.
The prices are comparable to most of the other local Chinese places. Delivery is always very fast, the orders are accurate, and the food is hot and fresh. Definitely one of my favorites.
