I can only give this three out of five. The waitstaff is great, the ambiance is good but it truly is just expensive Chinese food. The only thing that saves me every time are their awesome lettuce wraps.

Tastes great Waitress was great Atmosphere was great But I now feel horrible. I have a horrible stomach ache. I am not sure what happened but this is not settling well. I believe this will be my last time ever to eat at pf changs.

I love the fried rice and have a hard time trying anything new. My wife had the Honey Chicken and both meals were large enough that we both brought home left overs. The beer is cold and the service is great. The only complaint I can come up with is the hostess was chewing gum chomping on it with her mouth open. Not the most professional look, but nothing to get to bent out of shape over either. Come early or be prepared to wait to get a table. Cheers.

I have been to several PF Chang’s across the country and I didn’t like them until I went to this location. They are very nice here and I’ve never waited for a table, which is great compared to other locations. My kids love the food and the prices on the kids meals are Great! The lettuce wraps are a must(have a vegetarian option as well) and the Asian Pear Mojito is dangerously delicious! The servers are always very nice and attentive.

The quality of the food here declined super fast. Not sure what happened to their menu but they list my business. Not a good Chinese place. Take your money somewhere else!

For those yuppies who haven’t found the local place, it’ll make do just fine. Lettuce wraps are pretty tasty until you see the check and realize you’re hungry hours later

P.F. Changs is a great place. The building is interesting and cool looking. The service is by far the best I have seen in awhile. Our waiter complimented us a lot and was good with the menu. She was quick and she was very interesting. For the food it was good as well. I’m not a fan of Chinese food as much so usually I get some type of chicken. I got the spicy chicken because it had the least amount of vegetables and didn’t have rice in it. I’m no a fan of rice if you couldn’t tell. The chicken was amazing but the sauce tasted kind of like sweet and sour sauce. Not spicy at all. I also tried my friends garlic noodles which just tasted like noodles on garlic bread without the bread so it was pretty good. It also gets very busy so I suggest making a reservations like we did because there was a lot of people waiting. Overall a good place just doesn’t have the best food for me

I’ve been to a dozen of PF Changs all over the country. The food here was awful. We had a table of 8, well over $ 200. Check. Poorly made, overly salty and often dried out and tough. Clearly much of the protein was pre cooked. Our server was awesome however. Such a disappointment to treat my friends that I see rarely. It will be my last visit. I’m hoping that this feedback reaches the right people. Des Moines deserves better food, however the line of people at the door seems odd to me. Perhaps the hype and reputation is enough to keep this place busy. Pity…

Great dinner tonight with my husband and 9 year old son. We had the crispy green bean appetizer that was cooked perfectly And was delicious. I had Kung Pao Chicken that had heat but flavor. My husband had Changs spicy shrimp. He said it was excellent but it would make it awesome if there was some veggies added. My son is very picky but he loves the kids crispy chicken pieces with sweet and sour sauce. Our waitress was very nice and cordial. It seems like every time we come here though when it’s time for the check service gets really slow.

Worst service ever seen. No one checked on us after sat on the table after 30 minutes. We left and nobody even bother asking us why.

The food was good but the wait to our table and until someone finally said something too us was just unacceptable. I seen one of the hosts ladies grab a waiter and tell her to come to our table because we were sitting there so long. Then we asked for our check while we were eating just because everything was taking forever with restaurant less than half full. 20 minutes have passed as we sit here looking anxious as can be to leave.

I’ve eaten at many PF Changs all over the country and it has been an enjoyable experience. I’ve been to this one twice now and the service has been horrible both times. If you ever need anything you better ask or you will certainly not receive. Once again it’s the Midwest lack of service.

I love Chang’s Kung Pao Scallops. Do not, under any circumstances, order the sushi. I should have known better. The lobster & avocado rolls were flavorless and consisted of mostly rice & chives. Stick with the crispy green beans as an appetizer instead.

Had a peaceful dinner outside here while in town for work. The happy hour was fantastic! I had potstickers, chicken satay, raspberry wontons, and a Sam Adams seasonal all for $ 17. The server was very sweet and attentive, and the view from the patio was about as good as it gets in WDM.

They have a wonderful management and staff. Refillable beverages never reached the bottom, the staff was attentive and polite and left you alone when you wanted privacy with your party. Salt and pepper calamari was not fresh and did not come with much. I usually don’t get sushi in a non-sushi bar but I tried it this time– not great. I’ll stick with lettuce wraps next time. Pad Thai is actually quite good here — better than some of the Thai places in the area. Perfect amount of spice, so if you’re an average Midwesterner, it will be too spicy. I came here with a gift card and it was misplaced. The management believed me and just knocked the 25 off my bill. Terrific staff! Can’t compliment them enough. Amazing ambience, but the food doesn’t match the other areas, sadly.

Love PF Chang’s. Its a creative and tasty twist on classic Chinese food. They have a lot of great options like Beef, Chicken, Shrimp, and my personal favorite Scallops. They are always accomidating when I ask to leave out an ingredient, or to add something like carrots to the dish. The fried banana desert is fantastic and they have a decent drink selection as well. My only complaint is they tend to be very busy and it can be a little slow to get in and get your order.

the food quality is just way below expectation in my opinion. I knew this restaurant chain is targeted at non-asian populations and hence it is not very authentic. But there are things like Panda Express that’s not authentic, but at least it tastes good! I ordered a dan dan noodle, it was waaaaaay too salty. i ordered a hot and sour soup, this is nothing like the authentic chinese soup. It looks so dark, it might as well be called soy sauce soup. I noticed that there are not many asian restaurants in Des Moines, hence the lack of choice. But food at this quality is just not acceptable.

I think PF Chang’s is «okay.» Obviously most of the items are not«authentic,» but for the prices you pay, I don’t think it’s really worth it. We ordered the Honey Chicken and Honey Shrimp, which is breaded chicken or shrimp in a honey glaze. You get to choose white or brown rice with it. The lettuce wraps here are pretty good, but rather than serve the normal hoisin sauce that comes with lettuce wraps, they use a type of garlic/soy sauce that is liquidy. Luckily I had a bottle of hoisin sauce at home that I opted to use instead.

I’ve been here several times. I like the Chang’s Spicy Chicken and of course the lettuce wraps are good too. Ambience is nice, classy, dimly lit. It can get noisy when it’s busy. Service. Always had good service there, no issues. 6⁄10

Ok, I’m going to be strait with you… If you are Vegan do not go here to eat! Ok the service last night was amazing 5 stars all the way, we went to the bar for a drink and our bartender was welcoming, and very wonderful all around… We got seated and our waitress was great too! Top notch… Even checked to see what they could do Vegan for me… Only thing was Buddha’s Feast, which was reasonably priced and sounded good! Sounded so good Ashley(non vegan) ordered it as well! Boy were we wrong! The steamed vegetable meal was un exciting and lacking any sort of flavor! The best thing about the meal was the soy sauce dripped on to my brown rice! The restaurant has a nice lay out, nice sound system where you can hear the music really well and yet hear your tables conversation well but not others around you even though it’s an open restaurant! All in all service 5 stars! Food 1 star so will average this one to a 3.
