Awesome selection of Asian dinners, appetizers and Sushi. Years of going have NEVER been disappointed.

Excellent sesame chicken, probably the best I have ever had. Egg rolls were crispy and tasty. They know how to make stir fry, overall very happy with the food. Bathrooms not so much, kinda gross.

I don’t expect to get great sushi in Iowa, but I was very disappointed in my experience here. The service was extremely slow — it took over an hour to get our food. The waitress said this was because there was a lot of people ahead of us and we had a large order, but those were both untrue. The restaurant was nearly empty and we only ordered a few rolls. She did not apologize for the delay. The sushi was also poorly assembled and nearly every piece fell apart when I tried to pick it up. It tasted ok, not great, but the struggle to eat it was frustrating. I won’t be coming back here.

I was working at West Glen for the day and(as a sushi lover) decided to take a chance on Wok in Motion. When I first took a seat at the sushi bar, I was immediately leery. Their case was filled with previously cut nigiri(rice and all) and sashimi. It all had a very old plastic look to it. I decided to still give a(cooked) Dynamite Maki roll a try. I assumed«mayo» meant spicy mayo, but I was wrong. My Dynamite roll(which should have at least a little zip to it) was bland and tasted like mayonnaise(because there was a lot of it). Facepalm. For the bulk of my meal, I tried the Kung Pao Chicken(lunch special). The menu marked it as the only«hot and spicy» option available. I am a bit of a heat seeker, so I was looking forward to a spicy meal. The food came out hot and fresh, but not at all spicy; not even a little bit. The vegetables were also super crunchy; nearly raw. This was the worst $ 16 I have ever spent on a meal. I will never be back, and I will never recommend Wok in Motion to anyone. :/

I go to Wok in Motion all the time to get their sushi. I’ve been to a lot of sushi places(as I love sushi) but I keep coming back to this place! I’ll admit, their prices could be lowered, but the food is absolutely delicious. I’ve never had a problem with the service there. Your food always comes very fast. Even if you order take-out, the order is usually ready at an average of 10 – 15 minutes. I recommend the captain crunch roll and the blackened salmon roll. SOGOOD. They also have super delicious crab rangoons(if you like the sweeter ones) and delicious lo mein dishes as well. I would of put 5 stars, but they need to do a better job updating their hours and website as well. Otherwise, I have yet to come up with a reason why I should stop going there Hope this helps!

Went to lunch at 11:45. There was no wait at all. One other table of two was in for lunch. Neat interior, very high ceiling and plenty of seating. We started the meal off with Spicy Salmon roll. It was tasty, and the spice came from what appeared to be chili powder. So there was definitely a slight kick. The lunch special ranges from $ 5.50 to $ 8.50. You get soup(dine in only), crab rangoon or a spring roll, a entrée and either fried or steamed rice. For lunch I ordered the Sesame Chicken. The chicken was really tender, and it had a good sauce with it. Fried rice was flavorful but could’ve used a little more veggies in it. The crab rangoon was a little too chewy. Seemed like it had been nuked in a microwave for a little too long. The soup and entrée was very good though. My dining partner ordered the cashew chicken. He orders that every single time — he really enjoys it. You can get out of there for two for $ 21 — that is if you ordered a basic roll as an appetizer. You’ll be full and ready for a nap by the time you get back to your office chair.

Very average meal, nothing special, but not bad. Dinner prices are definitely a bit overpriced, but they offer good lunch specials. For some reason their sushi always falls apart(not rolled properly) every time I’ve ordered it, but everything tastes relatively fresh which is the most important thing when ordering sushi! Because we live nearby, I give Wok in Motion 3 stars, mostly for the convenience factor. I definitely wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here, but because it’s close, it’s one of our go-to asian take-out restaurants.

Because we live nearby, we gave these folks another shot. They have cleaned up their act since the dip in the few years past their opening. Credible food, decent sushi, clean environment. Decent comeback.

I always have a difficult time figuring out where to eat in the Jordan Creek area. It just seems like bland chain restaurants and fast food everywhere. When a couple of girlfriends suggested we visit Wok in Motion for sushi, I accepted the invitation with great trepidation. Based on the reviews, I fully expected Wok in Motion to be terrible. Luckily, it wasn’t terrible at all; just average. How do I say this? Eating at Wok in Motion is not exactly the high-end experience you might expect to find in West Glen. Despite our server’s encouragement that we mark our selections on the paper sushi menus, the menus themselves are dotted with white-out. Seriously. I find this hysterical. They get out the white-out after every customer marks down their order rather than printing new paper menus? If you can’t afford to print more, why not just laminate the menus and give customers dry-erase markers? The service is cold, and the restaurant was even colder — like they didn’t want to run up too high a heat bill. We kept our coats on as we ate. HOWEVER. The sushi was not bad. Truly, I thought it was going to be awful. There are lots of cream-cheese/mayonnaise-loaded/deep-fried rolls on the menu, which always makes me worry that the sushi chef is trying to mask the taste of inferior fish. I was pleasantly surprised that the sushi was pretty decent. I wouldn’t say it’s the best in the area or anything, and the selection is very basic, but it was reasonably priced and tasted good. Granted, I only tried the sushi, but my experience wasn’t nearly as bad as I feared it would be. The next time I’m out at Jordan Creek and am desperate for food, I just might come back.

Horrible service!!! My gf had hair in her food(it couldn’t have been hers bc she is blonde and this was extremely long and black). We said something to the waitress in a kindly and quite manner, so that we wouldn’t cause a commotion… she responded very rudely, «you want a refund or cook again?!» I told her that we would like the food as we were hungry. We received the new plate in an angrily manner and no service at all until we received the bill. I went up to the register and said I would pay the bill minus her plate due to the lack of any customer service that you would expect after an occurrence such as this one. The total was $ 38(we also ordered sushi before our main plate) and I was willing to pay $ 30. All I got from the waitress(Pim) was a, «no, I gave you a new plate.» I asked to speak to the Owner(Hon), and I politely told him what happened. Then I proceeded to tell him that I believe that as proper customer service, the $ 8 plate should be taken off of the bill and I would pay the rest. «No we cook twice. No.» That was his response and he walked away. Wanting to get the heck out of there, I asked for their names from another waiter and I paid in full, then started writing this. Moral of the story… don’t eat there!

I don’t know why this place has only 2 stars when it should have 5. Granted, I get take-out, so that’s the only experience I’ve had with the service(and it has been fine!). And I get only the soups, edamame, and seaweed salad instead of sushi, because that’s what I’m craving when breaking up an 11 hour drive north. Still, if you want soup & greens & are a road-tired traveler, maybe, like me, you’ll be really grateful for the Wok in Motion.

Good location but that’s where the«goods» end. Average food for an Asian restaurant and about 20% more expensive than what you would find at a family owned/operated Asian place in a neighborhood strip mall.

On the brighter side the food is good. Unfortunately the service wasn’t as up to par as there sushi(which is what I went for). For the most part of the night, I was glad that I went with friends because I thought they forgot about me and my order. It was frustrating, because neither our waiter nor the manager felt inclined to check up on us or apologize for the inconvenience. Overall, good food but customer service needs an overhaul.

Well, where does one start when they have nothing good to say? I found my way to wok in motion nearly starving so, I was excited about eating a good meal and I was excited to be eating here for the first time. The overall social atmosphere matched the temperature and it’s cold outside. My host(poor thing) is over worked and probably under paid. He was too busy to check on me. He forgot to bring me a drink. When I tried to tell him what I wanted he couldn’t and/or didn’t want to hear me ask for something else. I turned around and he was gone. The food was strongly lacking that restaurant quality flavor profiles;(wink my stir fry is better. The unagi/Eel was placed on two misshapen mounds of rice I wasn’t surprised… confuscious says… wok in motion should change their name to wok in slow motion. Score
