To echo a lot of the other reviews, Spitfire’s rotisserie chicken IS quite delicious, moist, and flavorful. The crispy and herb seasoned skin was my favorite part of my meal and I really regret not peeling and eating the skin off of my leftovers before it got soggy(sorry if that sounds gross). Prior to this, whenever I’ve tried to eat here on the weekends, there seems to be a 2 hour wait(they told me they don’t accept reservations on weekends) and so I’ve always walked out impatiently because hangry Stacy is nobody’s friend. I came here on a Wednesday evening however and although there was a 20 minute wait, the time flew by because we were able to order drinks at the bar. I was especially impressed with the efficiency and speediness of our bartender lady who poured our beers and mixed our cocktails within what seemed like seconds(almost as impressed as I was with the delish chicken skin, which I’d say is a pretty good compliment). Boyfriend got the pulled pork sandwich, which didn’t seem particularly special or noteworthy at all. I also ordered the chicken wild rice soup since that seems to be extremely popular, and while it was pretty good, it also seemed to be chockfull of sodium where the salt level was on par with a hamburger helper stroganoff dish that you might make with half of the water the recipe calls for. Although the wait time on weekend blows, definitely a solid choice for getting good cocktails and rotisserie chicken at a decent price point in the FM area!

Very helpful and friendly wait staff, we were seated and given drinks promptly. Put in an appetizer order for little spitfires which were brought out right away and were fantastic! I ordered the shrimp and steak combo, some of the best shrimp ever! Bread and butter were amazing! Drinks were always full and food was great!!!

Great dining experience! Very impressed. I actually interviewed for the head chef position back before they opened years ago. Not sure that it was a conscious choice as a result of not getting the gig to have never eaten there … But I never had until tonight. So many choices in Fargo anymore you know? We live an hour East of Fargo now so we usually opt for the tried and true when we come to town. We came in late… It was like 9:15, so we got seated and attended to quickly by an excellent waitress(whose name I’ve forgotten, cuz I’m horrible with names) and our food came out lighting fast! Anyway, my daughter had the half rotisserie chicken & mashed potatoes… both of which she loved, and we both had the wild rice soup as a side. Very tasty. It had an unusual tang to it. Not sure if it is sour cream or maybe Swiss cheese in the broth? Unexpected but good. I had the rotisserie chicken and ribs combo. With the baked beans and vegetable sides. As a former working chef(now trucker) and occasional BBQ contest judge… I’ve developed the habit of first trying a restaurant or BBQ teams sides before the main item. The beans in particular with BBQ. I think you can tell allot about a joint by their sides… especially their beans. If they care enough to make the lowly side of baked beans kick a** then the main course should follow suit. My barometer sure held true this time. In fact … Their beans did KICK A**! Excellent smoky flavor from the brisket bits they throw in. Sweet, but not overly. My daughter actually was fighting me for dominion over the cup of beans! She’s never liked anyone’s beans but mine before. I was excited to try the rest. The chicken was as another reviewer put it «like butter» tender and juicy with a light smoke to it. Excellent! The ribs were very tender and smoky with a nice bark. I ordered the raspberry sauce. Which they caramelized on the slab before serving which in my book is the only proper way to serve BBQ’d meat(if your going to sauce it). If your going to just dunk it in raw sauce and serve it… Your an amateur, or your McDonald’s. The sauce was the only thing I was a bit disappointed in. It’s definitely very«raspberry-y» which would be ok on say chicken. But for me it was a little to one note. I’d personally give it some pepper kick. Not crazy hot, but a nip of say Chipotle & Habanero… and some caramelized onion to round it out. Only suggestions. It was still quite tasty… Just needed a little bite to counter the sweet for my taste. The atmosphere is great, kindof an upscale BBQ joint. Open kitchen. The smells of smoking and charring meat were glorious! Friendly quick staff. Although the lighting is VERY dim at night. I actually had to break out my cell phone flashlight app to read the menu. Overall, a very enjoyable meal. Will definitely be back… I want to try some brisket… with a double side of beans!

The beef brisket is phenomenal! We came in and were greeted immediately. The parking lot was full but we were seated right away. We had such a nice meal seated In front of the fire with chicken roasting on spits. My hubby had the salmon which was very tender and flavorful. The lighting is romantic and the ambiance perfect. We will be back!

Very well run restaurant, thanks to Gordy and his dedication to his pride and joy. Not only does he greet customers, he buses tables and cleans them, sign of a good leader. Staff is very friendly and informative, they make you feel very comfortable, much appreciated. The food is excellent and seasoned to perfection. My server, Brianna was superb, did a great job at customer service and making sure I was pleased and happy.

Spitfire grill was one of the first restaurants i went to in ND, I was really looking forward to it because it seems like a pretty classy new establishment. Its nice on the inside and from what i can tell its relatively new. The menu looked great and i would definitly like to go back to try some more the downside is that the food i did order although it was fine it was edible it was not remarkable it didnt leave me thinking WOW this is great id love to come here again. I am looking forward to going again and trying something a bit more interesting there something that will make me place this on my favorites list.

Whenever I’m in Fargo looking for a place to eat, Spitfire makes the shortlist. Woodfire BBQ in an upscale atmosphere with friendly revive makes this a great place for a quick bite, family meal or a chance to hang out in the bar. The oven rotisserie chicken … Is like butter!

A hometown Applebee’s… But better. This place is gigantic. The huge parking lot was full when I arrived but there were still open tables. I was meeting a coworker and his family and I got there first. For dinner they keep it pretty dark, but, he ambiance is nice enough. The servers weren’t overly attentive, bit, weren’t awful either. I had he Diablo pasta. A combo of chicken, shrimp and andouille(house smoked) with penne pasta and a spicy red pepper Alfredo sauce. All in all it was good. It was heavy, but good. The portions were gigantic which was reflected in my coworkers flaming pig sandwich that took up more than half of his place. If your not looking for anything too sophisticated but want to be comfortable with a decent meal… This place hits the nail on the head.

Diablo Pasta Trio might be the best pasta dish I’ve ever had. Spicy sausage, jumbo shrimp, and smokey rotisserie chicken in a perfect cream sauce. Generous portion, too. Leftovers makes for a great lunch the next day!

I have come here 3 – 4 times now(I forget could be more?) when I am in Fargo and have not been disappointed. I have not tried the ribs yet and will try them the next time I am in town. If the ribs are good the rating will be 5 stars. I tried the rest of their meats and they are great. I highly recommend one of the combo sandwiches they have. Layered with 2 or 3 of their slow cooked meat and a light topping of their BBQ sauce. Little slice of heaven… I haven’t had a bad one so my attitude is they probably are all delicious. Keep up the good work and I will be a regular as a regular who lived 500+ miles away can be!

If you want a good steak you gotta come here. I used to go to Longhorn for my ribeyes until I tried Spitfire. Spitfire makes a way better steak and their food is high quality. I loved the interior of the restaurant. It had this special feeling about it. The staff is very friendly. I’ve been at the bar and ate in their dining area and received great service both times.

No complaints here! Went for lunch, our waitress was Victoria and she was attentive & kind, food was delicious(we got the club sandwich and lunch sirloin) and the sangria was wonderful. We also got a turtle cheesecake for dessert, it was suuuuper sweet but yummy if you only eat a couple bites a time. We will definitely be back to try more!

The food here is pretty good, saw several things on the menu I would like to try if I am in town again. They have alcohol, which is always a nice option, especially if the food isn’t good. The ambiance is nice, new, kind of like a fern bar.

Been here many times and never fails to make me happy! Pretty decent service, waiters and waitresses are nice. Bread they give you is warm and very good. I usually get the fettuccine alfredo and from a mainly American place it is very good! Always come back!

Stopped in on a Friday evening, had a 15 – 20 minute wait to be seated. Opted to wait in the bar area. Ordered the steak and rib combo. Food came in just the right amount of time. Everything was perfectly prepared. The service and ambiance were everything you would expect. One thing to keep in mind: it was a bit chilly inside. All in all, a great experience and I’ll definitely be going back

Made an online reservation for tonight at 8:00 = when we got there we were told that they do not take reserations for Friday or Saturday(but I had a confirmation email to prove it) the greater Jordan was extremely disrespectful and condisending. We asked how long was the wait and she again was unprofessional and disrespectful. If it wasn’t because my son gave me a dinner gift certificate I would never step on this restaurant. Bad service! Jordan you need to go to work at Burger King
