Dan’s Place

Have always had great meals here but have to say this time we had the nachos and they were blah at best. We stopped in after a bike ride on Sunday for drinks and a bite to eat. The female waitress was extremely nice and provided great service. We ordered drinks and an appetizer or which came out quickly. We ordered nachos with ground beef and the twisted buffalo tenders. I have to say I am never had a bad meal here but was very disappointed with the nachos. They were blah with no taste, and all the fixings piled only in the middle on top with the surrounding chips having nothing on them. It was like a pile of nacho chips with a salad melt Patty on the top. I will say however we loved the twisted buffalo tenders which were perfectly seasoned and coated buffalo tenders with perfectly cooked spinach and melted cheese on top. I would definitely order them again in a second and would love to try the same combination as a sandwich which the waitress said they would definitely do for me next time. A great place for food, drinks, watch Sports or catch some live music when They have it but the nachos need some help.

Excellent food, Great service. One of the best places for clam chowder. The steak was cooked to perfection and was great also. Drove across the country for this great food.

BEST BURGERS IN RI. I order the Roadhouse Burger (a gigantic burger topped with pulled pork, fried onion strings, cheddar cheese, bbq sauce, and bacon) every time I come here. It is absolutely delicious. The pulled pork is perfect, the sauce is dynamite, and the burger is always fresh and served on a toasted, buttery bun. The only suggestion I would make is to make the actual burger patty smaller or flatten it out somehow. Other than that, this is the best burger I’ve ever had. My parents split the Grilled Cheese burger the last time we came here. They raved about how delicious and how ridiculously ginormous it was! We have ordered the hog wings before and, despite the price, they are fantastic. You only get four of them, but they are heaven on a bone. The sauce is tantalizing and ugh, we couldn’t get over how tasty they were. I have ordered eggplant parm to go in the past. The packaging is neat and keeps the food warm despite the long drive home, but I wasn’t too fond of the spice choice. This is the only complaint I have for this restaurant (although my uncle has made it clear he will never order take out from Dan’s again — his pizza took two hours to make for some unknown reason and was delivered to him cold… and he only lives 5 minutes away. Beware if you order takeout. It appears to be hit or miss).
Back to the good stuff: The desserts here are delicious as well… but they are extremely overpriced for the skimpy slices and portions you get. They were nice enough to package a dessert for me to take home (the sleeping Chicago bear) and made it a point to package it in the best way possible so I could have the best experience eating it at home (they packaged the ice cream in a separate container and made sure it was extra cold so it would last the ride home. Needless to say, the service is usually phenomenal). The servers here are friendly, personable, informative/​knowledgable of the menu, and are more than willing to help you and give their personal opinions when you can’t decide between the awesome choices on the menu. On one occasion, I believe we spoke to a manager covering for our waitress who’s shift had just ended in the middle of our meal… and he was a bit dry personality-​wise and refused to smile at anything… but he still managed to be pleasant enough. I highly enjoy this restaurant to the point where I am hoping to come here to celebrate my 21^st birthday! Keep up the good work!

Been here a half a dozen times. Always a good meal, good selection and always good service.

Indeed I am a fan. The place is large, staff is awesome, and the food is very, very good. Great pizza and lot’s of choices. It’s worth a trip to Dan’s Place for a fun evening. HUGE TV screen for football and other sports. Take out is done well too. Good prices for the quality of the food. Well stocked bar. Clean bathrooms. It’s not just a pizza parlor. It’s a full fledged town pub. You will enjoy it.

I visit Dan’s often, easily once a month and I’ve only had one terrible experience. The food is amazing and the waitstaff is USUALLY good. I come with a big party often and they are accommodating. Overall a good restaurant, but our bad experience was something I don’t ever want to experience again.
Myself and 6 others came to eat on a Thursday night, it was about 10pm which was on the later side and I could tell that they weren’t too happy. They seated us and everything was fine. The majority of us purchased alcohol and food. Our waitress was acting strange but we didn’t really think anything of it till we received our bill.
Our waitress separated our checks for us which was nice. A friend of mine gave her the money including her tip, and we had all paid with a card and left the tip on the table. Our waitress had only seen the tip from the one friend who gave her everything cash and had not seen the rest of the tables tips.
The waitress had come up to our table and asked if anything was wrong with the service because it was the lowest tips she had ever received. We were ASTONISHED because she had only gotten one of our tips, and still have 6 on the table. She had then proceeded to complain about how she makes very little hourly wage and she stayed later for our table. We were all speechless. None of us knew what to do. We were all very angry because she had failed to realize that she had $ 25 more dollars on the table that she had not accounted for. She based the entire table on one tip of $ 4.
Not one of us seven regulars have been back since. It’s unfortunate because we enjoy think place but I don’t think we’ll be coming back.

Been ordering their Buffalo Chicken Pizza since they were still up the road at West Greenwich Pizza. Best Ive ever had.
Everything is as good as you would hope, nothing is over the top. Servers have always been hard to relate to and really connect with, but Ive been able to overlook that.
Food is always consistent, clearly ensure that every dish looks and tastes the same.
My only suggestion would be to consider starting the process of putting out new menus. Drink menus have sharpie all over them with the same beers from 3 years ago. Lunch and Dinner menus have a lot of great options, but some new additions are needed.

Menu is not your run of the mill burger joint. nice to see a varity on the menu. Waitresses are pleasant and good looking too. Didnt really like someone poking their head into the booth to see if we left yset to clean table. Its great they want to clean up quickly but damn, let me relax and talk after eating. Portions are average size but I really hate when they bury a pickle under hot fries. Nothing worse than a warm pickle and cold fries. Five stars if you fix the rushed feeling and cold fries/​warm pickle.

Not bad! Close to a truck stop. Order the surf and turf. $ 18. $ 7 for a slice of carrot cake is way to expensive. Eat a dick Dan!

Very relaxed and enjoyed our time here. My daughter Shannon suggested it, this was a great place. We all enjoyed our food, my scrod was very buttery! Chicken parm was to die for, the country fried steak was cooked to perfection and the gravy was very savory,

Excellent nachos and service! Prices were average! Great place to eat if you’re in the area. The inside of the building is very pleasant and staff are friendly. Go here all the time.

Don’t go there for a leisurely meal. Expect to be rushed through your meal. Typical pub food nothing special.

Great specialty pizza and homemade chili! Pulled pork bbq and club sandwiches are great too. Very friendly staff and great service!

I love this place. It’s a great destination for a ride on the Harley. Very biker friendly bar. Always a good amount of bikes there. Pizza is great! Build your own burger, good seafood. Always good entertainment on the weekends. Waitresses are all very friendly.

Just had another fantastic meal at Dans! Poutine (of course) wings and prime rib… All excellent! Love this place! Our server Christine was the best! The prime rib was cooked just as ordered and was a very large portion for the price. Poutine is like nothing you have ever tasted. Love the vibe here and definitely will make the trip out again.

The Thai wings were great. The pizza was not that great. Convenient off of 95 food for large groups.

This place is enormous, excellent service, they have a live band most nights. Fun place to grab pizza and a beer but I actually got the salmon which was absolutely delicious, very surprising for a pizza place so please don’t judge on what they are known for because the did an excellent job on the salmon

The food and service are very good here. I have tried the steak and cheese grinder and was very good. The pizza is also good. Many toppings to choose from. The Italian grinder is also worth ordering again, as is the chicken breast grinder. The best item on the menu is Poutine! A Canadian tradition.

I know this place is popular, but I wasn’t too impressed. Both times I’ve been there the order was wrong and took longer than expected. Pizza was bland, while its nothing I can say bad things about, there’s nothing good I can say about it either.
