Lago is a restaurant that will make you remember why you go to restaurants. They serve delicious, expertly made southern Italian food at extremely reasonable prices. Unless you have an authentic Italian grandmother churning out hearty salumi plates and unforgettable panouzzi sandwiches for you on the reg, you should go and enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience on the Silver Lake strip. Also, I really enjoyed the Vialiere cocktail with Buffalo Trace bourbon and vermouth, and the wine reco from the waiter was on point. So A-plus for drinks, as well.

Love love this restaurant. It’s a little bit worldly mixed with a lot of «old charm». Our waiter make a lot of good suggestions and we loved everything. We had the grilled octopus, which was tender and flavorful as well as the baked clams which were seasoned to perfection. My fiancé had the fried rice balls, which I was apprehensive about, but they were really good and we gobbled them all up. We had some pasta and split a pizza four ways. There was plenty to go around. The pizza was fresh with great crust and fresh ingredients. The mozzarella was clearly really fresh. Cheesecake for dessert all around was very very good.

Friday night forgot to put our order in had to reorder because original selection was sold out as a 6 top ordered after us and ordered the last of what we previously ordered. Too many options to ever try again. Out of many items for a 7:30 reservation. Cold entrée after waiting 40 minutes for a sub par app.

My first time at Lago was for the Happy Hour… $ 3 beer, $ 5 wine, $ 7 cocktails and appetizer specials. Food was delicious and bartender was great! She took our picture for us and was very attentive. Definitely going back!

The perfect local family owned Italian restaurant not fantastic, just plain well prepared food that tastes great. We make sure when up north at least a few times we go here. Worth a definite yes to, have a meal, here. I promise you will not be disappointed. All meals are cooked to order and help gets a fifth star.

Good food. My mother and I got a cheese plate to share. She asked for walnuts or jam and they gave her walnuts. My mom got the fish and I got a pasta special. I told the waiter I didn’t want prosciutto in it, as I do not eat meat, and he said it was no problem. My dish was brought out with prosciutto in it and as it was brought to his attention he said it would be fixed up again, no problem or questions asked. In addition, dessert was given to us free which was very nice of them. Overall, good Italian food, a nice vibe, and even though there was a mistake with the food order the way it was handled was very gracious.

Wonderful food with an old style neighborhood Italian vibe. Its a terrific restaurant that launched just four months ago. We were there on a perfect summer evening, dining at one of the outdoor tables out front along the broad sidewalk. Guillermo, a professional and gregarious waiter who was recruited from NYC, served us, along with his swift runners. The chef, whoever he/she is, is a superstar. We followed the advice of other reviewers. Short ribs and calamari lived up to their hype. The charcoal chicken was also superbly prepared. All food was brought to our table piping hot, and each dish was glazed with the perfect amount of its braising sauce. We ended with the delicious banana flambé for two, which was served in two generous stem glasses, and topped with wonderful seasonal berries, and wonderful freshly brewed coffee. Two quick observations regarding the dessert menu: 1) Guillermo mentioned that fire regulations prohibit the staff from preparing the flambé dessert at table side, contrary to its printed description. 2) There are two $ 20 desserts on the menu.(flambé being one of them). I would have easily rated Lago five stars instead of four if the menu offered $ 10 single servings of these dessert… Because, you know how it is. When you are stuffed from enjoying everything that came before it, the only way you can contemplate dessert is if it can be shared. As delicious as it was, the double serving was far more than needed. All in all, we had a great dining experience.

Awesome food, great reasonably-priced wine, cool ambiance, and amazing service. This is my favorite place in West Harrison for dinner or drinks.

What a find over the weekend in Westchester! Lago Ristorante is West Harrison was an excellent experience all around. From the moment you walk in, the service is first class. Our waiter was extremely friendly and made honest suggestions throughout the meal. For Wine, our waiter suggested a bottle of red wine from Sardegnia Italy. I can’t remember the name but It was awesome! They have quite a wine list with some some very good regional wines from Italy. Some great values as well, Everyone at the table also enjoyed the wine. 5 of us in total. The bread was incredible and the extra virgin olive oil was very good. For Appetizers we went with the grilled octopus seved with italian cannellini beans. I have to say it was amazing! Some of the best octopus I ever had and so tender. We also got fried calimare which was also very tender and cooked perfect. The baked clams were good and pretty much the same I’ve had in other restaurants. We also got an order of the fried arancini rice balls. Last time I had them was in Italy a few years ago and I have to say they were a hit at the table. For our pasta and entrée’s, I had the grilled branzino fish prepared right at our table. Very fresh and again my waiter steered me to get it. Wish I could remember the waiter’s name. Young spanish guy very friendly. We also had the gnocchi pasta(homemade) with bolognese sauce and 2 of my friends had the grilled salmon served with this amazing aborio rice and spinach. The portions were just perfect and I was already fulled. I hate restaurants that give you alot of food and everyone takes home a doggie bag! Give me quality food and I will eat it at the restaurant and not the next day in a microwave. Desserts topped off the awesome meal — we went with the italian cheese cake, torta caprese made with chocolate and almonds(YUMMY) and the best dessert was the Tiramisu! Some of the best Tiramisu I every had! I asked the waiter who was the chef and told me Chef Salvatore is well known chef from Naples Italy and worked in many fine restaurants in NYC. I guess this explains why the food is exceptional. Only complaint I had is the dining room gets noisy but then again our group got noisey! LOL! Can’t wait to come back to this place and take my other friends. A trully nice find in Westchester County tucked away in West Harrison NY.

I came here with some friends for a late night bite and was extremely impressed with the food. I had the home-made ravioli in lamb sauce and it was awesome. I’m definitely coming here to review this place properly. But, from what I had and shared, I’m excited

Incredible new Italian spot in Silver Lake! The rigatoni bolognese was incredible tasty, as was the table side Caesar salad, prepared the traditional way(raw egg, anchovies, etc). Also, they have an awesome happy hour during the week and don’t overcharge for beer like many local spots do. Highly recommend this spot!

This place is legit. Yes, the elusive 5-stars. Been there twice already for dinner and the service gets a definite 5-stars — had two different waiters both excellent and the bus-boys are working hard which helps keep everything moving properly. Food has been great. Some things I wouldn’t order again but that’s normal — every food item has not been 5-stars but the majority of what I and others I was with have had has been very good to excellent. Keep up the good work guys!

From the delicious homemade pappardelle, prepared tableside by Louie, made in the huge wheel of cheese, to the large choice of appetizers to please anyone’s appetite, this restaurant is a welcome experience for Westchester food lovers. The staff accommodates all special requests that are not on the menu. The main courses we have tried are salmon, short ribs and fresh branzino. The homemade zabaglione with fresh strawberries and their crisp cannoli, with delicious filling, are a delight. We shall return and recommend to all our friends and family.
