You know what you’re getting when you wander into a D’Angelo’s. And this particular location did not disappoint. Working in The 860™ for The Big Red Star™, I wanted to get out of the mall for an hour for lunch on a bright, sunny spring day. So, I walked across the street and found this D’Angelo’s. And I have to say, not bad at all. Had a nice bbq steak and cheese on a very fresh and soft roll. The fellows behind the counter were good guys who were efficient and made a quality sammy. The joint was clean, too. Very, very clean. That was the most impressive part of this D’Angelo’s. I’ve been to a few of them in my travels, and this one was sparkling. Kudos to whoever inspires these guys to keep it as clean as they do. This ain’t gourmet, folks. But it was a good, quick lunch that allowed me to take a walk in the sunshine for the rest of my lunch hour. And I’d absolutely take the walk over again.

Really happy with my experience at this d’angelos. The girl who took my order was very helpful with the order and very polite. When I came back after placing my order to pick it up, she had it it hand for me. The sandwich was one of the best bourbon street steak and cheese I have had from a d’Angelo’s location. Hot, full of steak(more so then normal) and the sauce was not overly sweet but just right. Look forward to returning.

Oh where do I start? I once liked this place, the service was great and the food was pretty good. Until one day they made a little change and hired a very flighty person. Last time I went there he didn’t acknowledge me and was helping out this lady or was it a man. The person was taking their sweet time and the clerk ignored me. So well, I left and I refuse to never go in there again.

Sometimes while I work I crave a steak and cheese sub so I end up over at D’angelo’s for some reason I never know. Why are they always so slow there to take your order? At 12 noon when I visited, I counted 4 people making the food, 2 General Managers and 1 Manager on duty(their shirt said their job title that’s how I knew). Only 1 person in front of me and it took 8 minutes before they took my order from when I walked in. Then approximately another 10 minutes for my food to be ready — 18 minutes to get a sub. Yes I could have called-in, BUT they could have also acknowledged me waiting or spoken a single word to me besides the guy mumbling behind the counter when it was my turn to order(I assumed he asked if he could take my order since I was the only one in there at that time and he was looking at me). Why do I go back there?

The D’Angelo’s in my area had been circling the drain for quite some time and has subequently closed. I saw this place whilst up at Corbin’s Corner and decided to give it a shot. Essentially the same as Subway and similarly priced. Different and quite frankly, more creative sandwiches abound. I settled on the pastrami reuben. Om noms. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming and treated me like they knew me, which obviously they don’t but was a nice touch.
