Everything is so good here. Proceed with caution because overspending and overeating will definitely occur. This is a definite«must try» bakery and one of my all time favorites. Beware of the snobby youngins who work there. Not too helpful and definitely seem irritated if you don’t know what you want in the first 20 seconds. Lost one star due to that.

My Nephew ordered a cake for his daughter first birthday he paid over five hundred dollars for the cake and the bakery did not deliver the cake he had to pick it up well the cake was ruined it was a sham we didn’t have a cake to take pictures with his daughter on her first birthday. I just think that if you are selling cakes that are as costly as they are you should deliver and set them up.

Disgusting, Vile Place. Row after row of sweets, pies, cookies, baked goods, breads and more. My order 1 Cheese Danish, 2 Chocolate Danishes, mixed box of small cookies and a Bernie Sanders cookie for that liberal kid in the office. How do people work here without turning into 800lb blimps? So good. Yet So bad.

I work at a restaurant and riesterers always makes the cakes for us! For so long I see them making deliveries to us and even calling to confirm orders so I figured I should give them a try and boy was I happy I did! I bought so much for the first time from a cake to small cookies because It really gives you a taste of home made items! I go in all the time now after work since its on the way home because I’m hooked! Its really difficult now a days to find a decent bakery that excels in all areas of desserts! Definitely go in– you won’t regret it!

We are hosting a birthday party for my Sister-in-law tonight and Riesterer’s has come through for us! My sister in law’s favorite car was a light blue Volkswagen beetle. I found a cookie cutter and asked if they could make favors for our party. I called many bakers and either they couldn’t do what I needed or the cost was astronomical. Riesterer’s price was reasonable and they did a fantastic job. The cookies look great! We also purchased a seven layer cake for the party. All my guests raved about the cake. It was delicious and not too sweet.

We got the strawberry shortcake for another coworker’s birthday and it was amazing! The strawberries and the whipped cream were good as the icing/topping. The filling was just perfect not too sweet and you can tell fresh strawberries were used to create this concoction of love. Go ahead and eat cake, people, because cake loves you just as much as you love it. especially cake from here! Thank you :)

I have been coming here every now and then for their specialty cakes, red velvet, tiramisu and chocolate mouse. They all taste really good and well liked by my friends and families. The staff are friendly and very accommodating for your needs. You can pre-order cakes and pick up the next day just to make sure you’ll get what you want because some are not available all the time. It’s a little pricey as compared to the commercial cakes from Stop & Shop, Waldbaum or BJ’s but it tastes better like fresh off your grandma’s oven. I mean, it tastes like made from home.

Wow! This European style bakery has it all and I’m surprised I have not been here sooner. If you are ever in this area you have to go because this is a 5 star bakery. I was recommend to this bakery by a friend so I figured I’d try it out when I was visiting him. He told me they had one of the best apple strudels so he called them to hold it for us because he said they sell out of it. When I got there I didn’t expect to see such a large bakery with a nice cozy seating area. There was a line when we got there and it smelt like pastry heaven inside. I picked up the apple strudel and wanted something else and I asked the red head girl who worked there if she liked anything else and she said the mini cheesecake was one of her favorites so I was sold and got that too. After I got the goodies, I sat down and had a coffee and ate the pastries. The apple strudel was unlike any strudel I have had before it was doughy and soft and pure deliciousness(not flakey) and the mini cheesecake was one of the best cheesecakes I have ever had, it just melted in your mouth. In addition when I was there I couldn’t believe this one red head girl was running the counter in this large bakery with a long line all with a large smile :) and being able to upsell me on another pastry in the process. I think I heard someone say her name was Ana or something. Great pastries, Friendly staff, Place to sit and eat/drink

This place has a very high turn over, so everything is always fresh. they really have everything you could want. There is even space to sit and have coffee and eat your pastries in the store European style. The young lady with red hair who works there is super efficient and friendly. She always remembers what I need.

I absolutely love this place! The stuff they have is amazing. My dad gets crumb buns every so often and they’re always great. When I was younger, I’d always order cupcakes and cakes their for my birthday. They have a lot of options for birthday cakes and birthday cake design. Not only birthday, but all occasions really. In the past year, I developed an intolerance to dairy, so I was really disappointed because I thought I wouldn’t be able to find a decent cake. But they have a dairy free section and the chocolate cake that I got was amazing! And even though I’m 20, I’ll still make my mom get me an Elmo cookie whenever she goes there.

There is a great selection of breads and pastries, the staff is always very friendly and helpful. I am grateful that this is now a kosher bakery as well. They are, as expected open early and seven days a week with ample parking. Go and enjoy!

Was very surprised. Not a very huge selection for such a huge place. I was also hoping for more German styled baked goods during the Christmas season(as this bakery has German background) but found it sorely lacking.

Heard about this bakery from a celebrity who lives on the West Coast. I drove quite a distance to pick up a special cake for a very special someone. The cake was devine, the service was friendly and just all-around wonderful. The design on the cake was a work of art as I had requested pink buttercream flowers. Just wonderful… Many thanks!

My mother-in-law swears by Riesterers. They have been around forever, so they must be doing something right. And my four year old always asks to go there to get the Minnie Mouse cookies. It’s a great place for kids.

Ewww I never understood why people like this place. I lived in West Hempstead most of my life, only two blocks away from here and I wouldn’t ever go in there to get something. My family would go out of their way to a different bakery.

I have to remember this is not an Italian bakery, which is what my family and I are used to. The bakery is huge and they have lots of stuff but Im still not sure if Im a huge fan. Its down the block from my apartment and I have come here a lot of times to pick up things for friends or dessert. There is usually a line of people which is always a good sign. What I like about the bakery: Great parking, great hours, very friendly staff, yummy treats & they have discounted«day old» bread/bagels/muffins/donuts that taste very fresh. What I don’t like about the bakery: I ordered a $ 25 birthday cake for a coworker. I explained that my coworker is a baker herself so this has to be really good and pretty. The girl that helped me was so sweet she wrote down everything I asked for and I just felt disappointed by the cake. The flowers on the cake were just a squiggle design, the colors were off and the cake tasted a little fake.(you can see in my photo) I could have gone to King Kullen and gotten a better looking/tasting cake for probably $ 9.95 About 6 months earlier my fiancé picked up a cake for my sisters birthday. Her request was ganache… The only thing they had pre-made was an oreo cake which they told him had ganache on it. I think they were wrong. The inside was a chocolate cake with way too much whipped cream. It was very light but filled with whipped cream and it wasn’t the best. Far stretch from ganache. I picked up a few cupcakes for St. Patricks day — dinner at my friends house. My fiancé said they tasted too artificial. Another dinner guest said it was delicious. To me the icing was too whipped creamy. I wanted a more vanilla tasting kind. My fiancé says” You know whats good… their old shit, the donuts are great and I like the Star Wars cookies you buy me“ I come back to this bakery because of its convenience and I know it has a good reputation. Their cookies and pastries taste good too. I don’t think I would return for their«ordered cakes». I will post some pictures of their treats.
