Suzie Q’s Fun Facts: It’s unclear whether Numero Uno Tavern is a member of the Chicago-based Uno Chicago Grill chain, or if it’s just a pretender. =≅≅≅≅≅≅≅≅≅≅≅≅≅~ Friends of mine recently moved to West Hills, and were pleased to discover Numero Uno Tavern just 5 minutes’ drive down the street. However, that pleasure evaporated from the moment we walked in the door. TVs were on and blaring from every corner(was this a sports bar or a pizzeria? The owners don’t seem to have figured it out). Several tables were covered in unbussed plates and garbage. There was a large rubber ball-dispensing claw machine towards the back that ruined any ambiance the restaurant was trying to create. We were initially ignored when we walked in, standing there for minutes while servers rushed around us. Finally we made our way to the back, and sat at the only empty table. Another ten or so minutes went by before we could get the waitress’ attention to take our order. Her excuse for the delay: She’d just sent the other waitress home due to the«slow night»(we looked around, and every table was full; it was a Saturday night at 7 pm!) My two friends ordered a pizza, and I ordered the half chicken with baked beans. When mine arrived, I was pleased at the portion size of the chicken(the baked beans, however, were in a modest little cup). But the taste? Let’s just say I would have thought it nearly impossible to screw up a simple roasted chicken, but somehow they managed it. Granted, it was cooked all the way through. But the taste was«off» somehow, like it had absorbed refrigerator flavors for a week. And the skin was pale, flabby and flaccid, rather than deliciously crispy and flavorful, which made the bird not much fun to eat. Because there was no sauce or anything accompanying the chicken, other than the small cup of beans, after a few bites I was instantly bored of the blandness of my meal. I begged the dregs of the cheese and toppings from my friends(how sad!) to liven up my dining experience. All in all, we were disappointed in our food. Couple that with the bad service and depressing ambiance, and I doubt my friends will be making this their new neighborhood haunt.

Very bad and expensive pizza. Terrible hard dough, the toppings sliding put… The waitress wasn’t friendly either and they made me wait longer than expected.

Great place, great food, great ambiance. Just the kinda place im looking for to get away from all the craziness in the valley. The deep dish pizza will keep everyone coming back.

We ordered to go all the time because their pizza is great but decided to give it a try for dine in. The owner came to great us and made recommendations A+ for that. The waitress seemed a bit uninterested, she was nice but not the personality you need for a waitress(specially on a Friday night). The garlic fries were awesome. The Philly cheesesteak was pretty good too. Overall I had a good experience and will be coming back, maybe sit at the bar next time. Large selection of beer and wine. Reasonable prices.

Yummy pizza, reasonably priced. Super chill tavern atmosphere with tons of amazing craft beers on tap and bottle, also full wine list and other alcohol options! Me and my dude brought a Mancala game set here drank beer and chilled, the kitchen got backed up and with out us minding or mentioning one of the girls came and offered us a large house salad on the house. I will definitely be coming back!

This place is a cool local hole in the wall, with awesome bartenders… Not to mention good food too and an awesome beer selection. My personal favorite is the happy hour pizza… It is so good… Their bruschetta is super yummy too. The service is always great when we go in, and the food is always good. We frequent quite often too.

It is what it is… which is a local bar with food that can be too seasoned, sugary, etc, but not so much that I won’t go back and do it again. They have the real N.U.‘s pizza which is fun, though it’s more of a local tavern so maybe less of a kid’s spot than an adult spot. Happy hour — yes! The staff is great. If you’re reading this, add .5 stars extra for them!

We used to frequent Numero Uno when it was on Victory near Fallbrook… anybody remember that? Much more of a family place then and much bigger. Almost Chucky Cheese like. Now a smaller VERY casual Pizza place serving wine/beer. We have been twice in the last 3 – 4 months. We have had good food and service experiences both times. My wife and I split a chopped Southwest style salad and a 10″ Pizza this past Saturday nite and were very happy. The dressing on the salad was a Buffalo Hot/Ranch blend and tasty. The pizza was hot and also good. I had a Guinness and was very satisfied with the pour and taste and my wife had a nice glass of wine. I would however suggest serving the Guinness in a non chilled glass… Our server was a young lady who was very friendly and responsive and did a fine job making us feel welcome and well taken care of. Only thing worthy of comment even though I did not check it out myself is that my wife said the bathroom was not as clean as it could have been. We would definitely go back. Maybe we got lucky… Twice…

I’ve been coming to this número uno for years, and I’ve never had any issues. I stopped by today and had the worst customer service experience ever. For starters, Taylor had the biggest attitude from the moment we walked in. We had two separate orders, both large pizzas that we had just put in when we walked into the place. Without even finishing paying for both orders, or even taking a step away we asked to change one of the larges to a medium. We were immediately shot back with a «no the pizza has already been started». It hadn’t even been two minutes after putting our order in. She didn’t bother to check, we just got a flat out«no». We asked again… another woman casually walked by and shot back the same«no, the pizza has already been started». The owner was standing right in front watching everything that was happening and didn’t say a word. We cancelled our orders and all the owner did was refund our money, we didn’t get one apology, not one person bothered to change the order or find a solution. Instead we drove all the way from woodland hills to Granada hills to get our número uno pizza. The service is much better there. This place, experience, and the people are just disgusting. ***no stars from me***

We ordered hot wings and they were delicious. Definitely on the hot-spicier side, my boyfriend almost couldn’t eat them without dripping from his forehead, but that’s why they’re called hot wings. Arrived on time and in a cool oversized Chinese-like take out container, which I found very neat. Certainly excited to try other items off the menu.

Food is good but the service is the worst!!! The owner is so rude and he’s a moron too. Never writes the order down and ALWAYS gets it wrong. Dude, get another job if you don’t like what you do.

The service is very poor and I do not recommended coming here. I have been here a handful of times and it never fails that they are late with my order. Whether it’s the manager taking my order or Tiffany, they do not care about customer service, like timeliness. Today I waited 40 minutes to get my medium pizza, when they told me it would only take 15 minutes. Today was the last straw: They have lost a local customer. I will be going to the Numero Uno in Granada Hills, Agoura Hills, or Pasadena from now on.

Been living close to this spot for years and years now. Recently they have changed the whole place up and I have to say I am glad there is a little pizza tavern serving good quality beer with even better pizza. Looking forward to coming back here… FYI the buffalo chicken pizza thin crust was amazing

Pretty good deep dish with sweet chunks of tomato. Decent deli subs. Better than average pasta. But ohhh the Romano bread puffs. Half bread-half donut texture, eat ‘em right away before the butter-parmesan cheese gets all soaked in.

We always order from here! Always delicious. Today we ordered again and they added tomatoes(which we didn’t want) We called back and no problem they said they would make me another pizza. Great service and great pizza!

I have had the worst experience from their delivery service than I have ever had with any other restaurant. I’ve ordered from them twice now(only because they messed up my first order so bad but hay they gave me a credit). I decided I to give them another chance. Wrong choice. It was all bad. I got the wrong food, missing food and inaccurate food. Don’t go here. Their pizza isn’t even good. Also, I got a sampler plater that consisted of buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks and zucchini sticks. There were no zucchini sticks and the buffalo wings came naked(no dressing on the side). They added fries and chicken strips to try and make up for it but that was so disappointing. And on top of it it was $ 9! And that wasn’t even the half of what happened. I will never return. Even if I have another credit.

The food is good, but the service needs improvement. The place was hot and our water didn’t have any ice in them. The guy didn’t even came by to ask if we need something or if everything is ok. There was 5 of us and nobody was in there with us and I had to go up the counter to order extra bread puffs. Jan.2,2015(Fri-3:34pm): came here again craving for their bread puffs and pizza. It’s still the same guy(no name badge) his service REALLYREALLYSUCKS! Next time if I ever crave for Numero Uno I would just order to go.

Nice bar & food. I like the owner he’s a humble guy trying very hard. I have gone 4 times in the last couple months because I live around the corner, so worst case I can walk home! The marinated onions are very good. Pizza is however you like

The food is good but the service isn’t very nice. I ordered a pizza over the phone and went to pick it up but didn’t notice it was incorrect until I got home. I called back and asked them to remake my pizza correctly and they asked me to bring it back. I bring it back and then the manager/owner rudely says that I didn’t tell them I wanted it that way over the phone. I didn’t say anything because they had already started a new one. Not only was he rude, but the pizza looked nothing like the first one I received. It barely had any cheese and was loaded with bbq sauce.
