One of my favorite places to go for a comfortable and enjoyable time. The wait staff is always friendly, the menu has a good variety and breakfast served all day is a plus for me. Lots of beers on tap and in the bottle. Tons of tvs if you are looking to watch the game. The history of the place is really cool if you look into it as well. Love this place!

Let me start with the positives, because there are certainly a few worth mentioning. First, the staff was very friendly and happy to correct mistakes. Second, the food was good. Third, the atmosphere is nice. A good, above average atmosphere for a sports bar. And now the negatives. This is a seat yourself situation. The large, crowded dining room is awkward to maneuver unguided while searching for a space. Once taking a seat at the only open table in the place it took about 20 minutes before our sever took our food and drink order. When she finally did take our order she realized that the table was still left cluttered with the empty plates and glasses from the previous guests seated at our table. It took another 5 minutes before our table was cleared. Our pitcher took 10 minutes to arrive at our table. Waters arrived about 20 minutes after the beer. Our food arrived, incorrect, a full hour after ordering(the whole table had ordered 5 tacos and 2 tostadas). Everyone was happy to fix their mistake but certainly not fast. It took another 30 minutes to receive the missing food. We requested silverware upon arrival of our food and it took about 20 minutes to arrive. My food was cold by the time I received the utensils to enjoy it with. While everyone corrected mistakes with smiles on their faces, there were no apologies. An experience we expected to last 45 mins to an hour took a full two and a half hours. I will not be back and I can’t recommend this place for these reasons.

I was in the neighborhood so I stopped in It. They were busy serving alcohol and didn’t seem to be bothered with a small food order. The chili was pedestrian, not great/not bad.(3star) I ordered it with(free) onions and got a plain bowl. Cost Analysis: Street metered parking. $ 2 Wait for food 25+ minutes. Bowl of chili $ 6.81 Tip $ 0. — No regrets Emoji analysis: Street parking/pay up Service Wait for food Food Cost Tip Crowd Chances I’ll be back in 20 years If you just want to drink and smokes with friends, then I would upgrade this to a 3.5 star. Parking is very limited.

This place is a blast from the past. The chili dogs are yummy & the vibe is fantastic! Forget that long line at Pinks & play some pool here. Just put a quarter on a number on the pool table to establish your turn. Then sit back & watch the Rubs(Rich Urban Bikers) or read the news on the ceilings. This is the place my husband & his friends used to go to during the Vietnam War to read about who was arrested at the last anti-war demonstration. Jim Morrison used to dance on the bar & Janis Joplin spent a lot of time praying to the porcelain gods in the back. Newspapers from those days are glued to the ceiling. Bring Tums.

If you know me then you know I frequent this place in West Hollywood. I have lunch with my celebrity friends here as well as my Beverly Hills and West Hollywood friends. If you want quality food, strong drinks, and sarcastic answers from the best go ask for Chauncey. Hope I spelled your name right Chaunc! Lol Never fails to leave me with a big smile on my face. :)

The food is ok, good selection of beers, the only that gets this place 2 stars is the fact that it smells like cigarettes because when people step out to stop the door doesn’t completely shut.

Mediocre ATBEST! Service was slow. Food was mundane. Ambiance was whatever. I only enjoyed one dish that was ordered– the pizza. I’m not going to lie, it was pretty fantastic! Cheesy, flavorful, and with superb crust. But that’s about it. The fries I ordered were horrid. Not that difficult to make half decent French fries. That alone caused me to never want to come back. Will not be returning.

THISPLACEISOVERHYPEDTOTHEFULLEST. Let’s start with the fact that this was the slowest service I can recall ever having to endure. It wasn’t even packed & still Took 10 minutes for a round of water & another 10 minutes for alcohol & soda & even longer for our entrees. I asked the waiter when our food was coming when he finally brought us our drinks, he said«they’re coming right out» however it took another 10 – 15 minutes for it to come so homie lied to me.(Don’t lie to me) Then let’s get to the fact that the food was mediocre ATBEST. Their fries were disgusting, the onion rings were nothing spectacular either. The only really good thing our party had was their pizza, I can’t lie it was a great pizza, but I can find bomb pizza anywhere. Overall I was NOT impressed whatsoever. Let’s just say I’m happy someone else covered the bill & I didn’t have to give them my money.

Met my husband and his brothers here for brunch while they watched football. It’s decorated like a party meaning that there’s stuff, including tvs, everywhere! That’s not necessarily a bad thing. If I was a football fan, I’d choose the spot too because of the energy of everyone there. However, since I’m not a football fan, I wanted to eat my chilaquiles and get the heck out of there. They have a pretty extensive menu, a good thing if you plan on camping out to watch sports all day. Despite the busyness of the place, we were served fairly quickly and my brunch was pretty darn good. My husband and co. had shown up early to secure two booths by the front, which was good because by the time I showed up, there were people spilling out to the front. It’s close to a couple other places that I’ve been to while in LA, so I like the area. Probably will only come here for the reasons mentioned above, but all in all, I liked it.

Had a great time coming here. First of all, this place reminds me of an actual bar one would find in the movies. It has that interactive environment. Good place to see your favorite sports team — and even better, it feels like you can actually find new friends coming here. Upon entering, the staff was very friendly. They sat us down on a booth, and offered us water. The menu was big considering this a dive bar — there’s a lot to chose from. We wounded up ordering the pizza, which was a good way to end the week. The other cool part about this bar is that there is so much to do! There are arcade games in the back, there is a karaōke machine where you can sing your heart away, there is a pool table, and there are televisions to watch whatever program you desire. We went on a Sunday night, and it wasn’t packed — but I can easily see how they can get full on weekends. Super interactive place that makes you want to meet new people. Love this place, and I will definitely be coming back!

Barney’s Beanery is a must go to kind of place with a lot of rock and roll history. When we’re in LA this is always our breakfast stop. Get there at 9 a.m. a cup of coffee and chilaquiles and I’m good to go rest of the day. The table where Janis Joplin carved her name hangs on the ceiling over one of the booths. A plaque at the bar marks where Jim Morrison would sit. Service is always friendly the place can get very packed with sports fans. Parking is limited so get there early!

Loud smokey fun I guess if you wanna get drunk or watch sports. Was hoping for bomb bar food but got room temp fries and weak burger. Asked for medium rare and it came well done and thinner than the thinnest patty ever.

Great American Sports Pub! I live in WeHo, so not alot of American Pubs around for yes me, a straight person.. lol. I love the atmosphere. Rock music, pool tables, air hockey, foosball, classic pub style food, every sports event on multiple screen tvs and every beer on tap. And the French fries are delish! So glad I found a place to chill w friends.

I’m not going to downgrade my rating, however, my last two visits have left a little to be desired. I still love Barney’s. If they offered delivery to Beverly Hills I would probably order it every day that I was at work. The last two times I’ve been there, the orders have come out wrong. Yesterday two items ordered were not delivered as ordered. My hubby ordered a chili cheese burger and they left off the cheese(I guess they charge extra for the cheese, too). I ordered a taco, added on rice and beans and ordered jalapeño, which has a .75 charge. My jalapeño was left off. We told our server, and her response was«I’m sorry the kitchen left these items off». But my question is, shouldn’t the server check it before it comes out? She came back to us a little later and said she had spoken to her manager and they were going to give us a 10% discount. When we got our bill, the charge was there for the .75 jalapenos, but there was a 10% discount. We asked her why we were charged for the jalapenos we didn’t get, she justified it by saying we got the discount, which was larger than taking off the jalapenos. Shouldn’t she have taken it off AND given us the discount? I know I’ll be back, but it makes me a little hesitant as I never know what I’m going to get.

Came in for National Burger Day, yeah that’s a day! I’ve never tried this place, been meaning to AND they had $ 5 burger and fries special… today is the day! Came in and everyone was super friendly! Weho vibe and none of that snobby Hollywood nonsense made this my new spot. So much history here! Valet $ 4, glad I found street parking because there is no way I’m spending $ 4 on valet when a burger and fries was priced at $ 5 today! :)

So this is the original Barney’s, and the supposed place where Jim Morrison took a leak on one of the pool tables. It’s décor lives up to the legend, cool seating and like decorations abound. The only issue I had with Barney’s was that every time the front door would open cigarette smoke would waft in toward our booth, defeating the whole idea of a non-smoking restaurant. However, the chili was legendary and far exceeded the yumminess of my burrito. The chili was so good that I wish that I had ordered a bowl instead of a cup. Seriously, Barney’s chili is do tasty that is makes me feel sorry for all the vegans out there.

Good people, friendly staff, solid food! Came here for the Final Four and had so much fun that we came back for the championship game! The first time we were lucky enough to score a seat at the bar once someone left because it was packed for the games. Bartender was super nice(don’t remember her name, but small Asian chick) and let me sample brew before ordering(got the Mama’s Little Yella, delicious). Gf ordered the thyme cocktail and she was happy with it. For food, we got the magic mushroom pizza and it hit the spot. So much so that I ordered another pizza(pepperoni) next time we went haha. They were slammed for the championship game but all the bartenders were on their game and slangin’ beers/drinks damn fast. Somehow we scored another seat at the bar once someone left so we had a front row seat for the madness(bar madness and game). Gf ordered a ½ soup(chicken noodle), ½ sandwich(sourdough turkey) this time. Both were good. Both times we were here the food came out in good time and was hot and tasty. Will definitely be back for more sports viewing or just to hang out and play games. They have air hockey, bball, shuffle board, and some arcade games in the back. Seating is tricky since I’ve never sat at a table but I asked one of the servers and she said you can just sit wherever is open… For parking, this is WeHo so good luck but they have valet right outside(not sure how much since we scored a street spot).

Last time we were here I got a clam chowder bread bowl which was really delicious. What a chunky clam chowder! My friend got the fish and chips and she loved them too. Only negative are the obnoxious people who patron here, but that’s Weho for you.

I’ve been to Barney’s Beanery at other locations but this is the Original, so it has some character. It’s a really warm, cozy vibe. Service was excellent. Menu is gigantic, so it’s hard to decide. They even serve all their breakfast items all the time. Now it can be loud sometimes, especially when there are games on the 20 large screens they have around the entire place. This restaurant is divided into different sections, which is great. There is a loungy area, a seated restaurant area, a bar area, and a games area with pool table, foosball, and arcade games. Now for the food! 1. Chili sampler: it’s a great way to be introduced to this place’s famous chili although each bite leaves you wanting more and you are never quite satisfied. The chips they give you to dip are awesome but you run out pretty fast so you end up using your spoon and/or tongue to finish off the various chilis. It comes with sour cream, cheese, and salsa too. 2. Chicken BBQ Sandwich with side of ½ onion rings/fries: I was craving BBQ, so I decided to try the sandwich. You get the option of pork, chicken, or beef. Our server recommended chicken, so I gave it a try. Didn’t regret it. Loved the BBQ with cole slaw combo. The accompanying onion rings were the bomb. Crispy, perfectly fried. There were actually onions in it that you can taste! The fries were more mundane. 3. Tacos: Tried the chipotle, al pastor, and shrimp. The chipotle was the favorite, although they were all a little dry. Beans and rice on the side. These were just OK, so given the extensive menu, I would not get these. Overall, a good experience. It’s very chill, which is a welcome break from the sometimes hectic dining establishments in the area.
