*CLOSED* Live close by and grab takeout here about once a week, well I did. Tried calling today and it went to a full voicemail. Walked over and everything is closed up. Sign up saying a Daikokuya is going in instead. I’m crying with you guys

The Best… The BEST Happy Hour on the strip. All the snacks I had were tasty! I’m getting drunk on the cheap. Please only tell cool people. DONTRUINTHISFORMEPOSERBABIES! Was the free bread hard? Ya moron joke. That’s so it holds the dip, ya baby f’er. God I hate everyone. But yeah this place… bomb. Good chicken. Good fries. Beer.

Legitimately the worst food experience I have ever had. My side salad is old and wilted and they gave me this disgrace of meal that was supposed to consist of lentils and rice. It’s the most foul thing I have ever put in my mouth. It looks and tastes like actual vomit. Never ever EVER eating Gabys again. $ 17 worth of pure shit.

My office comes here or orders carry out a least once a week from here. We almost always get a lunch special, which is not listed online, but I posted the picture I have on my phone of it, which I highly recommend ordering from for the best deals. Everything I’ve eaten here is delicious, and the portions are huge. Even when I’m starving I always have a full meal’s leftovers. I do agree the pita is a little too hard, so I hope that they read these reviews and address that. Service is okay, nothing amazing, but the tastiness and large portions make up for it.

I don’t know why such a nice restaurant they have only three and a half stars. I have to say this is the most yummy Mediterranean restaurant that I have ever entered.

I tried Gaby’s for lunch yesterday and their lunch specials are a great deal. I had the chipotle chicken wrap(I added feta to it because feta goes with EVERYTHING) and I was really pleased with how tasty it was. I’m a sucker for chipotle, but half the time it gives me crippling heart burn, but this didn’t. I seems that everything is seasoned perfectly, and just the ratio for all of the ingredients in the wrap. Nothing worse than getting a wrap and 90 percent of the ingredients are lettuce. I’d really recommend this place and will definitely be back soon!

Ok. So this place just got bumped up to 4 stars… Maybe even 4.5 stars because of their half chicken lunch specials. I never had rotisserie chicken that was this juicy and tender before! What’s even better is that this dish is only $ 8! You try to get something decent around the area and you easily spend $ 20… This is probably the best lunch deal around the area!

I have been here twice while visiting the whisky and enjoyed it both times. The hummus is delicious, and I am in love with the rice. Chicken is very good also. Would give it 5 stars, but the pita they serve here is VERY hard. It feels like it was heated too much, and gets very chewy upon cooling. Would probably taste better if they just thew it on the grill for a few seconds. If that was fixed I would like this place even more! :)

Ordered hummus and zatar as our appetizer. The flavor on the dishes was fine but the bread was literally rock solid. Cut the roof of my mouth. Not fun. Also ordered a side of grapeleaves. It was extremely cold. Not the way you want it prepared. Ordered the beef kabob plate. Portions were average… the meat itself was seasoned nicely but tough. The rice and salad were average. Nothing great by any means.

Kind of ended up here due to having to use the restroom after dropping someone off. Glad I did! The place has amazing food. I ordered the falafel pita and got rice as the side. Very kind server gentleman was quick and helpful around all turns. Sit down place with a touch of class but has a quick deli feel. I’ll def be back to try more food items from this gem of a restaurant! Thumbs way up.

I like this place. I work nearby, so I order here sometimes. The chicken kabob plate is always my choice. It’s a great one! Delicious. That garlic sauce/paste is soooooo good. Quality food! The staff is always friendly.

There is plenty of parking on the roof and the parking guy was nice. Free for the first hour. I just had the body builder plate and they really do the chicken right. And I got the yams and humus as my two sides. It was incredible. They deliver too through eat 24. It’s really good !

We come here for lunch about once a week and I always order the ½ chicken with rice and salad. Yummy. Today I was feeling a little rebellious so I ordered the beef chipotle wrap off the lunch special. It was not good. Canned vegetables inside the wrap! Who does that? I will continue to go to gabbys for lunch but will keep my wild side at work. Always order the ½ chicken special.

As far as happy hours specials go, this was the best I saw in LA, or maybe anywhere, you got buy one get one free for all draft beer, plus 3.50 appetizers, i got the lambneh app, which was essentially a meal in of itself, and then i ended up getting 3 of their beers, it had a pretty good selection of CA craft beers, the bartender was friendly too, we talked quite a bit, idk how it is at other times of the day, but i would def go back there for happy hour

This is my new favorite place! I love the place, the food and the people who works there! I ordered the beef skewers and my friend ordered the chicken! It was both really good! Also we ordered the babaganoush and the sfeehas! Everybody needs to try the sfeehas! They were soft and AMAZING! The best of my life! I’ll be back at least twice every month!

Great option for food on sunset! Food is really fresh and tasty, and the owner is very nice. I typically order the chipotle wrap with beef or chicken, a side of salad and the hummus. I think I may go a little overboard, but the food is tasty. I love the citrus dressing they use for the salad. Glad Gaby’s is open again– it will remain one of my favorite spots to eat close to work.

Went here for lunch and got the Half Chicken Lunch Special, which is $ 8 and comes with two sides. Unbeatable deal and left feeling fairly healthy and not sluggish. Nice sized TV, beers available, free parking on the roof for an hour with validation, and a quick wait time all added to the enjoyment. Will definitely be coming back.

Gaby’s Express is a small chain that’s taken over the old Coney Dog location on Sunset. I drive by this place every single day on my way home from work. Last night I went in and decided to grab a quick bite for myself and check out the new spot since I’d always meant to when it was Coney Dog. I ordered a shwarma combo plate to go and I gotta tell you this place is an awesome deal. My girlfriend and I shared the plate and we were totally full. I can’t imagine being able to finish this by myself. It comes with a small salad, hummus, rice, pita and of course the meat. Now when it comes to the food itself there wasn’t really anything special about it. The chicken and beef were both on the fairly dry side but they give you a huge dollop of the garlic spread which is just the most addictive substance known to man and it helps temper the dryness. The hummus lacked flavor but the mac and cheese I ordered on the side was delicious! Totally thick and gooey you could taste the sharp cheddar in it. I happen to be a fan of the thicker macs vs the bechamel creamy style that some prefer. If you’re like me than you’ll like this one. Why do I love this place though? It’s simple, the people here are awesome. I came in and while I was waiting Gaby the owner struck up a conversation with me. He was very kind and in a place that just opened there were already regulars sitting at the counter eating there dinner. They gave me a beer while I waited and it just felt like a friendly homey neighborhood spot(a rarity on this side of town and especially for a place that’s essentially fast food). For those who are sad about the departure of Coney Island, don’t fret, they’re offering a few of the more popular Coney items still to see if it sells. Very interesting indeed, I can order a hot dog and a shwarma next time; I call that winning. Parking on the roof is free for an hour.
