Food is delicious! Its your typical middle eastern restaurant in the sense that they may take a little while to get the food. However, I continuously come here and enjoy their food.

Abysmal service! Though the food is good, the horribly slow and aloof service ruined the meal. Honestly, the least attentive service I have received in Los Angeles. Avoid this place and try the excellent other options further south! Also, prices are about $ 5 more per meal in the restaurant than on the online menu!

Came here with my friend on a Tuesday night, sat on the second floor and ordered a watermelon and mint hookah and it was really good. We also ordered Hummus and grape leaves. The bread was cold and not fresh, the grape leaves seemed too hard. The 1 star is only for the seating and the hookah. The service was absolutely horrible. They took forever to get us our orders, they forgot to get silverware and napkins, which we asked for several times. They never changed the coals for the hookah, and we also asked them. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come here, there are better restaurants with way better service and food and hookah. Let me mention that it wasn’t crowded so they have NO excuse for this horrible service. It’s a shame.

We had a blast smoking hookah and eating. The place was bustling and the people were friendly. We had 5 people and although they recommended 2 hookahs, 1 was enough. The food was fresh and tasty!

My friend and I came here on a Saturday. Great lunch specials everyday what!!? I ordered the chicken kabob plates which came with salad, rice(I didn’t love the rice but it was ok), hummus and 2 decent sized chicken skewers. All for $ 10 Not bad at all for a cute restaurant on sunset. I rather sit close to the side walk than inside, but inside is nice too. –last time I came they didn’t have spiced chai hookah, NOW they do!!! –hookah is very reasonable –the server was a bit slow but it was only him and people started to come in lol. So it’s ok. I will be trying the falafel next time. –I will definitely be coming here again with my friends

Ordered food 6:30. It’s 8 and I called 2x. They gave me attitude over the phone of how busy their drivers are and I need to wait. Wait maybe you should hire more drivers. Do not order for delivery! Places has ok food.

Ordered a beef shawarma panini… Yes. A panini. It’s pretty much everything inside a shawarma sandwiched between a focaccia like bread. It’s not bad. It also reminds of a Philly cheesesteak because of the mushroom, bell peppers, onions and cheese. It comes with fries… There’s nothing Mediterranean about it but it’s good. Total came out to be 8.80 but since they didn’t have change they only took $ 8. Yay lol.

My friends and I were starving but it was too late for lunch and our dinner reservation was around the corner. We picked up the mezze plate with a Zatar pie and was pretty pleased. Portions were great! Hummas was fantastic, baba ganoush tasted as if it was homemade, grape leaves werent our favorite(but it was better than any of the grape leaves i’ve had before) and the zatar pie was great to dip the hummus and baba with. I thought the spices were a bit heavy handed but it was delicious. I didn’t stay but it’s a tiny location and the hookah smelled great.

Ordered food from here via eat24 and it never came. Literally just didn’t show up. When I called the restaurant to see what was up they were extremely rude and said they«had no idea where the delivery guy was.» Unreliable experiences like these are what lose customers, and I will certainly never order or eat here ever again. Get it together, Pi.

I went to Pi on Sunset November 2014 for lunch with a friend. We took the Beef Kabob, and the Pi Mini Feast. The food was a little expensive but also good and decently large. There were only a few people in the restaurant when we arrived(It was about 1pm) so there was absolutely no wait to be seated. The service was decently fast and nice. The restaurant is located in the heart of West Hollywood but unfortunately does not offer parking, which means that you have to brace yourself for a difficult street parking hunt if you plan on going eating there. The quality/price ratio for this place is ok and they even offer hookah which is pretty nice. This place also has a pretty nice middle-eastern atmosphere that we truly enjoyed. Overall, my experience with Pi on Sunset was very positive and I would recommend it. Feel free to message me for any additional details that you may need!

2015 Unilocal100CHALLENGE — 077⁄100 This place is truly A-OK. We ordered the cheese bread which was alright, nothing spectacular. I also ordered the chicken shawarma plate which was good, but certainly didn’t taste home made. Didn’t love the hummus because it seemed pretty generic to us, and some of the chicken was dry. Rice i’m pretty sure was re-heated too… Things just tasted alright, nothing was out of this world delicious. I’ve certainly had better Lebanese and Mediterranean food. Oh, and our Almaza beer was served about room temperature, so less than half way through it was warm, gross. As for the customer service, a lot of people here on Unilocal are correct, customer service was nice but all requests took over 15min. to get to us. But the area is nice, outdoor seating with hookah is nice, and there’s great music playing so they have a nice atmosphere going. Overall, it was an OK experience, but there are better options for Middle Eastern restaurants in the area.

Came in on Saturday night. Sat down and ordered a hookah and food. It took a while for our server to take our order but they were short staffed so I understand. The server forgot to put in our hookah order but at least she admitted to it and apologized. I had the chicken kabob. It was actually pretty decent with a great presentation. Lavash was really bad though. Probably won’t return.

Haven’t been here in a while. The cheese pie here is the best! It looks like a regular cheese pizza, but it has a garlic white sauce that makes it amazing! I usually only get the kafta plate, but today I ordered the combo plate for two. It had one kabab of chicken, steak, and kafta. Sadly all of them were overly cooked and not that great. The hummus, salad, and rice were good as usual. I did get a 10% discount for checking in and that was a Unilocal plus! This place is great for hookah and hanging out(open till 2:00am). Note that there is a $ 15 per person minimum.

I order delivery from here a lot lately(via Eat24) and it’s been really good. I will say that delivery from here takes a long time — at least an hour and usually a bit more… and I’m just a few miles away. So know that when you place an order and make sure you’re not hangry — it’s gonna take a while. But the cheese pie never fails to delight. I also love the Beef Shawarma. I usually order one of those and eat it the next day, because it seems to be even better then after all the flavors get a chance to sort of hang out. And the Cheese Sambousek appetizer is my new find — it’s like cheese sticks Greek style. Delicious. It’s worth it to wait a little longer to get food of this caliber delivered. Just be patient and this place will eventually bring you some very tasty food.

Let me preface my review: 1) I like the smell of hookah 2) I love Lebanese and middle eastern food 3) I don’t need white tablecloths and a sommelier to enjoy a dining experience, nor do I need it to be huge cheap portions That being said — we really enjoyed the place and will definitely order delivery in the future. Drive past this place almost every day(live very close) and saw a groupon for a four course meal for 2 for $ 14.50/person. It was worth WAY more IMHO. We got three apps(hummus, falafel and dolmeh) which we both enjoyed — falafel was the standout — the dolmeh were definitely Lebanese style(sour, lemony flavor) and I tend to prefer them ‘persian’ or a little more sweet/savory mix, but still very good. The hummus was nutty, very smooth and with plenty of pita. Salad we had fattoush, a tangy citrus dressed salad of lettuce onion tomato cucumber and parsley, was tasty and fresh. Entrée had Kibbeh and Keftah. The Kibbeh was SO delicious! Neither of us had ever had this dish and it’s like a little spiced beef and pine nut torpedo encased in bulgur and fried like falafel. The flavor of all the food was great, there wasn’t a single dish we didn’t enjoy. Dessert we had Ashta be Assal — which was a cream dessert that reminded me of the Persian ice cream that has the chunks of solid heavy cream in it — and covered in honey and pistachio. If you’re the type of person who only eats cake and pie, this won’t be for you — but we thought it was absolutely delicious. Our server was a very nice girl. Enjoyed!

Food was amazing, but the service absolutely sucked! Came here one night for dinner as we got a Livingsocial deal. The deal was very good because we got ALOT of food, and everything tasted great. The appetizers, entrees were really good. However, our experience was made terrible with the service. We got a seat, and had to wait 30min, tried several times to order, and after half hour, someone finally came over to take our order. Also it took 30min to get something to drink. After we ordered, it took another 15min for the drinks to come out even after flagging down the waitresses several times. Then another 15min to get our food. So it was a 3 hour ordeal to have a simple dinner. I would recommend not coming here for sit-down, but only do to-go orders and call your order in advance!

Can’t get over how much food we got for our one measly $ 25 Living Social. Seriously, the food just kept coming and coming and coming. Well, more like coming… and coming… and coming… since the service was super friendly but incredibly slow. Tried a bunch of new Middle Eastern goodies that I’ve never had before: mainly, the arayes(pita stuffed with seasoned ground beef) and the osmalieh. That osmalieh was utterly rich and delectable. Very delicate creamy taste and the buttered crispy vermicelli added a crunchety note. If Pi on Sunset is offering a Living Social again, I’m gonna grab a couple. But even if I can’t snatch that discount, I’ll definitely be popping in again if I’m in the area. Great little place.

Pi was okay. I can walk there from my house and we had a groupon so it was a good deal, but I’m not sure if I would go back without a groupon. The place itself is kinda old and run down. The seats definitely show age and wear. They let people smoke hookah inside, which was a bit annoying because a girl came in and sat right next to us and starting smoking, even though 90% of the restaurant was empty. We had: Hummus — Normal, nothing special. Falafel — Quite good, definitely my favorite appetizer. Dolmas — I actually really didn’t like these. I’m not sure if it’s because they are vegan, but this is normally one of my favorite things and I just couldn’t stand the taste /flavor. It almost tasted dirty. Greek Salad — Large portion, standard Greek salad. Chicken & Shrimp Kabob — Actually pretty good. I wasn’t expecting much based on everything I’d had up to this point and was pleasantly surprised. TIP: Delivery and pick up prices are lower, so I’d definitely do that since you aren’t getting much for ambiance here(unless you like smoking hookah). Not the best Mediterranean food, but good enough for delivery.
