Bottomless Mimosa’s for $ 15 and a drag show… what else can you ask for??? I had Red Velvet French toast, pretty good but way too sweet. Next time I will do their infamous burgers

Tacky and overpriced. The burgers are okay but you’re spending $ 15 – 20 for them. Drinks are also strong — but don’t forget you’re spending $ 15 – 20 for their«doubles». I’m all for that, but the place is filthy and has sticky crap everywhere. I’d rather spend that at ambiance like Abbey. The service has never been great — usually indifferent or minimally okay, but the other day was«served» by a «Mary». I never understand how a middle aged man with oversized muscles can act like a middle school girl. We were mostly ignored. requests for sides like ketchup were met with eye rolls, a request for water was verbally spat on and denied Spent most of the time huffing and puffing. It was an unpleasant experience, and therefore a two star review becomes a one star. Folks, there’s a reason this place is dead on a Friday or Saturday night(apart from their brief one hour drag show) while the bars to the west are jam packed.

OMG y’all. I have been to this Hamburger Mary’s during pride numerous years ago, but I was too inebriated at the time to appreciate how awesome this place was. But earlier this week, my partner and I finally got a chance to enjoy the WEHO Hamburger Mary’s(sober) and it was fantastic. It was late afternoon and we were starving and just happened to be in West Hollywood, so I decided to pop on by. Our server/bartender Kat was absolutely freakin’ awesome. I haven’t had such great service since I left LA over 20 years ago to move to some God forsaken hell hole named Iowa(but that’s another story). The food was incredible… the best of any other Hamburger Mary’s I’ve been to(Chicago, Denver, Cedar Rapids, Long Beach) and Kat just completely made my day. Every server and bartender should take lessons from Kat. She’s awesome, and if I had as much cash in the bank as the recent Powerball winners I would have tipped her a million. Thank you, Kat, for a great afternoon!(P.S. toss some more liquor into those cosmo next time!) Your friends from the O.C. Paul and John

Went for a girls night out and had made reservations. When we entered we were promptly seated and because we arrived on time, the host let us pick where we wanted to sit. We thought we were going to see their Drag Queen show, but it was their Drag King night. The show was a blast. The food selection is the usual bar food options, and our group only ordered from their burgers selections, we all raved and enjoyed our burgers. Definitely a fun place to enjoy a night out on the town with your girlfriends.

Wow! What a place! If you’re out to have a good time with fun and laughter, this is a great choice. Hamburger marys offers burgers(duh) and the drinks are delicious. My friends chose this spot to host a bachelorette party and have drinks and dessert and some fun! The best part about this spot is the drag queen show! Always good times…

Accidentally came here… I was eating across the street and my friend and I decided we wanted to get some mimosas, so we walked here, as it was the closest bar. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a hilarious, flamboyant, and nice guy– who happened to be gay! We started thinking, maybe we’re at a gay bar??? And then we were informed by the waiter that it’s a drag queen bar and we were about to see them perform! I must say, it was actually really entertaining. I was laughing and having a good time, and the bottomless mimosas for only like $ 14, were creeping up on me. In the bathroom was a disco ball and the song«dancing queen» was playing on repeat. It was overall a really unexpected, little weird, but somehow entertaining experience. Probably won’t go again but it was fun for the hell of it.

So I have mixed feelings about this review, but I’m going to spell it out here for those of you who care: come for the entertainment. That’s really all there is to it. Drag shows. I like them. Came here for a 10PM Friday night drag show because Trixie Mattel was going to be there and my friend is a fan(huge understatement). I made reservations because I like getting a guaranteed spot, but there was no need – we arrived an hour before the show started and the place was maybe 1⁄3 full. Granted, they were mostly full when the show began, but all the good seats were taken(and most of them ARE good seats). We got a table in the back next to the entrance to the bathroom area, which doesn’t sound glamorous, but it did give us a view to the queens’ entry and a sneak peek at their hangout spot overhead. Whoo! We ordered an appetizer(fried pickles!), some drinks, and burgers(vegan to chicken to regular ground chuck). I went with a Guacamole BJ Beef burger with fries and, as per usual, asked for my side of ranch right away because you know how it is when you’re trying to get a sauce later on. So we are waiting and waiting; good thing we arrived an hour early, because the food didn’t get there until 9:40. Our appetizer never made it, but when we saw the portions, we figured we didn’t really need it after all. Sadness. I really wanted to try those pickles. My burger was kind of boring. The guacamole had large chunks of jalapeño in it, so it was spicier than I expected. My friends got theirs with mushrooms, but the mushrooms were seasoned with something spicy so that didn’t go over too well with them. Fries were whatever. I had to ask for the ranch on the side twice before I got it. Service was spotty when it came to food, but my drink saw plenty of refills. Weird. At around 10, a guy went around making change for tables so we could tip. My whole table changed $ 20s into $ 1s. Nobody works for free, honey! The show started about 20 minutes late, but that’s alright. It gave us time to digest. As far as the show went… the makeup, the glitz, the glamour, the sass, the singing! I’m a sucker for it all. It was awesome! And there’s a meet-and-greet after the show(and most people clear out before it happens!). Pictures all around. The check did take its time getting to our table, but que sera, sera. I wish they had mentioned the cover charge when I booked the reservations or arrived at the restaurant, but $ 5 is well worth the cost. I will definitely return for another evening of debauchery, but next time, I’ll put the cost of my $ 20 dinner to better use. You better work, bitch!

Drag Shows — 4⁄5 Service — 3⁄5 Food — 2⁄5 I recommend this place only for visiting good Drag Shows having the easiest appetizers. Quality of the food in this place really sucks. Service is very slow, sometimes(for the shows when it is busy) I had to wait about 40 min to get an appetizer. Crazy! They really need to hire more people to the kitchen to cook the orders faster and better quality.

I came here on a Sunday night at 8pm for Drag Queen bingo. Some friends were visiting from another state, so we wanted to give them a West Hollywood experience. We made a reservation a week ahead of time to ensure a spot. When you get there, they have you form a line outside, then they’ll have all those who made a reservation step of out of the line into their own line. It did seem like a good amount of people made reservations, so that’s definitely the way to go, as well as still arriving 30 min before start time. Pros: –the event was loud, rambunctious, and full of life -$ 5 martinis and they have a bunch to choose from –mac & cheese balls and potato skins were both really good and perfect food for munching while playing –admission($ 20) was a donation that went towards animals Cons: –must find your own street parking and that on its own is pretty difficult in that area –started much later than advertised(tho it seemed like that wasn’t the norm) –bathroom was not very clean and was unisex –there was only one drag queen there and we didn’t see her very much In the middle: –service was not very fast, but there was a lot going on and our attention was mostly on bingo so it wasn’t an issue. I suggest eating a light dinner ahead of time and snacking there. –though we could hear the numbers being called out, we were placed on the patio, which is around the corner from the main stage(even tho we had a reservation)

I wanted to start off and say I have always been a huge fan and supporter of the entire chain for many many years until a recent visit yesterday. When traveling for the holidays I got a big group together to go to the Kansas City location for Drag Brunch. It was a grand old time, except I noticed the burger quality was not even close to the par that I am used to in West Hollywood. I hyped up the burgers to everyone and some people had mentioned the burgers were not that good and it was known. This shocked me and I decided to try them anyway. They were sub par as thought! I was disappointed, but figured it was just the Kansas City location. Yesterday, I went to drag brunch in West Hollywood and was excited to get my great handmade fresh meat burger again. However, it was over cooked and clearly what looked like a frozen cookie-cutter patty. This wasn’t handmade fresh meat anymore. Even the bun was a cheaper bun. When the food takes longer than an hour, this was terrible to receive. For a place known for their hamburgers, cheapening out on the main product is sad and I can no longer promote this brand to friends. I do hope you reconsider returning to your fresh made burgers, until then I will have to find a new favorite burger place. One thing I will miss is the performances. That is the only reason I gave two stars rather than one.

Hamburger Mary’s is more like a 3.5 stars. I wanted to round up because the entertainment and crowd I end up meeting there are fantastic, but I just can’t because the food is really hit and miss and the service is often painfully slow. I’ve come here for birthdays and just to hang out — I prefer to hang by the bar so I can get my drink order in right away — if you’re at a table it can take 20 – 30 minutes to get a drink, even on a medium-packed night. I will give them kudos for always being a good sport when it comes to splitting up the bill. But, who comes here for the food and drink? It’s about the queens(yaaaas). Bring your singles(single dollar bills and single friends) here for a fun night. I enjoy Friday nights and Sunday brunch. This is a WeHo establishment. It may not have the chops to be your regular hangout, but it’s fun for memories, entertainment and creating an experience for your out of towner friends.

I always have a great time each time I come here. The food is great and the entertainment is awesome. Don’t bring your kids here, it’s not Disneyland. Although there have been times when parents brought their small children and the entertainers work their way around them. It’s awesome! The servers are great too.

I’ve only ever come here for Drag Queen Bingo, which is soooooo much fun! The burgers are great! I cannot speak for the other food options. Definitely make a reservation if you are coming for bingo!

Came here for my birthday with friends on a Sunday night for drag queen bingo and it was such a fun night! The hosts are hilarious and the prizes are actually pretty cool stuff! Con: it gets super packed for drag queen bingo, so there is a line to wait in to get in when the show starts. Tip: make reservations because the place gets packed. Also, it’s hard to grab your waiter once bingo starts, so make sure you order food right when you sit down.

The reason to go to HM’s, is for Drag Queen Bingo on Wednesdays and Sundays. «What are we playing?!» «BINGO!» «How do we play!?» «LOUDLY!» Don’t forget, this is all for charity. Surprisingly, the burgers are fantastic! What makes them great, is that they are grass fed beef, cooked to perfection. Cocktails are strong too. Make sure they know its your birthday too, for that special surprise! Parking is difficult so valet.

This review is specifically for the Drag Queen Sunday Brunch: –The primary emcee IS fabulous. She has a beautiful voice and is extremely entertaining. –The rest of the crew just lipsynch and hog for dollars. It’s less of a performance and more of a ‘gimme money’ kinda thing –The food is OK. Pricey –They really wedge you in on seating; it’s hard for the performers to get through/around, and you get bumped into a lot –Service is so so. Difficult to get(non mimosa) drink refills. I wouldn’t go again, personally.

I had the fried chicken burger, Mary’s special with a side of fries. Had dinner with a large group of friends visiting from out of town. The food was just okay. I think people go here more for the environment than the food, at least that’s what I heard a few friends say. It wasn’t very busy for being a Saturday night. I’ve noticed it being busy during the week when I drive by but I’m guessing it’s because they have events on certain nights. The service was good and our waiter did a good job. I know it was probably overwhelming with such a large party. Only suggestion I have for him is to speak louder. Couldn’t hear much of what he was saying and especially when he delivered our food. Overall, it was a great first experience.

This place makes me happy to be alive. We went for the bottomless mimosa brunch, which started at 11( Unilocal says they open at 10, but they don’t). The drag show was top notch. Don’t forget to bring dollars to tip the ladies and feel free to drink your weight in mimosas. Love the service so hard. And while this place was full of bachelor and birthday parties, you really don’t need a special occasion to visit, because it becomes a special occasion all on its own.

3 words: Drag Queen Bingo. I organized a ladies night for 11 friends at Hamburger Mary’s for drag queen bingo this past Sunday and had a blast. We had to much fun that we’re going back in 2 weeks. I made us a reservation and we were seated immediately right in front near the stage. Our server(whose name I’m blanking on right now) was fantastic. He was attentive even though he was clearly slammed with a lot of other tables. The food — we all ordered burgers(when in Rome) and we all enjoyed our food. I got the blue boy burger which has blue cheese crumbles and bacon, topped with bleu cheese dressing, lettuce and tomato. It was delicious! The drink menu is huge but I stuck with white wine. Bingo — It’s $ 20 to play for approx 2 hours. If you win, you have to run around the restaurant while all the ‘losers’ pelt you with their balled up bingo sheets. If you call false bingo you get spanked. Make a reservation the place gets packed.

All I wanted was a thick piece of meat in my mouth… However, I’m not being metaphorical when I say this, I legitimately wanted to chow down on some juicy ostrich… Unfortunately, Mary got extremely confused with my order because she wound up not offering the succulent bird she boasted on her menu… Instead, she offered up some other fatty«burgers» that I certainly was not craving, not even with the«blow job» topping! Mary has been trying to lure me in for a long time thanks to the tempting open air seating and bright colors painted on the walls, but I never stopped in, sushi at Omi & Echi typically win. That being said, on one extra-tired and somewhat HANGRY Saturday early afternoon, I decided to give it a go with my teammate… Yes, eating for me is like a sporting event: huddle, agree, HIKE and tackle! We hiked on over to Mary’s and tried our best to tackle her fare as quickly as possible but man does she have a good defense, just check out her fake knockers… And her defensive«linemen… Line women?» Instead of getting in and getting out…(Oh the pun)… We agreed/ordered(after I had to reconsider my options once learning ostrich is «not in season») and then we waited at least 45 minutes for the tackle! Of course I do believe this is Mary’s very clever tactic! While people wait for her food, she hires an ensemble of «ladies» to put on a show… That one needs a lot of alcohol to enjoy… Thus people lay down the dough on booze as well as the slightly over priced menu items. Well played Mary, well played! As mentioned above, I was tired and a bit hungry, and even though my «teammate» is delicious eye candy, I needed my fill of savory, first, aka: my meal, which by the way turned into the Salmon Salad with Avocado. FINALLY, after what felt like eons, our food arrived… And the extreme tackling begun! And can I just say I HATE that I loved it! Even though my salmon fillet looked like it wouldn’t even fill a 3-year old up, it was so damn good, I wanted to lick the plate… And you know what? I think Mary would have been 100% okay with that! The other order brought to the table, a cow getting a blow job, with a side of fries… Okay, it was a hamburger topped with guacamole that looked mouth-watering(extra lube?) and I’m told it was delectable… And the bun tasted HOMEMADE… Or perhaps Gelson’s down the street baked it? You may be wondering: who won this sporting event? Sorry Mary, even with your cunning blitzes, we still won this match because it even took a good 20 minutes(& at least 3 more tipsy karaōke and booty shaking shows) to get our bill so we could parlay outta there! However, if you offer TAKEOUT, I may reconsider! *To be fair: I was 100% COMPLETELYUNAWARE that Hamburger Mary’s is essentially a drag show bar. I have zero problems with this, I was just completely caught off guard and wish I was in more of a FLASHY mood when I went to get my grub on! So please, proceed as I know people love that kind of stuff! I hear TRIVIANIGHT is a good time… Bring ostrich back and MAYBE with a few shots of tequila, I’ll be back… Bringing sexy back on stage too!
