DRAG QUEENS, BINGO, BURGERS, AND DRINKS! How can this not be fun? Legendary bingo is a really fun experience, probably be more fun if I actually won once though. At least we get throw our losing tickets at the winner, pelting them with my losing bingo card relieves my frustration of failing, and makes losing very enjoyable!

The Best! I’ve been attending Legendary Bingo for several years. Bingo boy and his drag queens put on quite a show. Sometimes they even have celebrity ball-​callers. It’s always a good time. A great place to take out of town guests. The $ 20 donation to play Bingo goes to the charity of the night. My most recent visit was on my birthday (August 3^rd) and Bingo Boy broke his paddle on my ass while giving me a birthday spanking… Sorry, Bingo boy ;) I recommend that you make a reservation (i think you have to have a group of 6 for reservations).

This review is just for the bingo portion!
We had Bingo Girl Roxy come to a private party to do a few rounds of Bingo.
A friend told me how it was at Hamburger Mary ‘s. She knew all the crowd replies. For example,
B2 is supposed to sound like achoo to which you say bless you!
We weren’t paying attention so apparently they change up what card wins (only vertical, only horizontal, only corners, or regular bingo where you can also get diagonals). So my friend got a diagonal and turns to me and says, «isn’t this bingo? Doesn’t this count as a win?» To which I reply, yes !
So she yells bingo and runs up excitedly and is horrified when Roxy says that she has falsely called bingo!!! She’s about to get spanked with a paddle in front of everyone… And I feel so bad for her and partially responsible!!! Luckily for her, another friend took the spanking for her and it sounded pretty loud and pretty painful!
So if you are playing, make sure you pay attention to what constitutes an actual win!

One thing to keep in mind… this is a review about LEGENDARY BINGO… not Hamburger Marys! Reviewers should leave their opinions about the food on the HM Unilocal page… cuz I’m sure the hosts are not in the kitchen, cookin’ up the meals, before they go back stage to apply their make up, throw on their wigs, slip into their spanks, tuck their junk and host a show! This is about the game, formerly for seniors, called LEGENDARY BINGO! If you are looking for a fun, hilarious and slightly competitive good time with your friends (or people you call friends who you say «i love you, gurl» to all the damn time) and family, then this a great Sunday FUNDAY! We had our 16 year old nephew and my 75 year old mother-​in-​law with us, and we had a BLAST; plain and simple. My advice… go there with an open mind, a sense of humor, and a recuperated liver (the OMG size drinks are UH-​MAZING!) and you are sure to have a good time! Yes it’s loud… Yes it can be obnoxious… and YES… there is a good chance you will be read! Hheeeellllllooooo… IT’S DRAG QUEEN BINGO… if you want quiet, go to a library. If you want FUN… go to LEGENDARY BINGO! And remember… the proceeds go to good causes… so give back while you have blast!

How do we play it… LOUDLY!

I came to check out this «legendary bingo», which was incredibly fun! Besides, the proceeds are helping fund local schools. The celebrity guest was the actress Annabelle Gish (sp?), I’m not familiar with her acting career, but she was sweet. The drinks and food were pretty good for a gay bar (sorry homos!), and the host, Porsha Hayy, was a riot! I was sitting alone but I still had a blast, and I felt for a minute like I was part of the community. I hope I get to come back someday!

So much fun. Amazing MC. He/​she is gorgeous, with a knock out figure I would kill for.
My only real gripe is that she calls those numbers too damn fast. Kinda sucks, too if more than one person Bingos, they only give one cool prize, and the other people who also Bingo from the same round (they draw for the highest number ball) get to pick a ‘prize’ out of the «Bag_​O_​Crap». Would be funnier if they gave a «Booby prize», and it was some kind of boobies (even a pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness would be more thoughtful than a plastic measuring cup)…just sayin.
But, it was a fun night, drinks were strong, and tasty. Waiter was very raunchy, but funny (Esteban). We loved him.

I went to Hamburger Mary’s at the invitation of a friend who worked for Human Rights Campaign and informed me that there was a fund raiser for Project Ten which is an organization associated with the Los Angeles School District that is an advocate of students rights for LGBTQ. Project Ten was founded by V. Uribe at Fairfax High School when she created a safe place for LGBTQ students.
The fund raiser was in the guise of DRAG bingo where a drag queen with big hair & even bigger makeup would call out the numbers & put in her two cents in terms of adding colorful, sometimes louche repartee to enliven the atmosphere for those playing drag bingo.
The players also must be participatory by being LOUD and shouting back cued responses when a certain number is called. For instance, «G-​54», you yell «The Disco G» for the long gone Studio 54 in New York which for one was the gathering place for artist Andy Warhol & his gang. «I-​22», you shout «Quack, Quack» since the 22 looks like ducks swimming if you get that drunk out of your mind. Well, you get the idea.
The winner who calls out «BINGO» has to run a gauntlet & be pelted by the balled up bingo sheets thrown by the rest of us who lost. Then the winner is allowed to claim the prize. In case of simultaneous shouts of Bingo by the various players, they get to pick a hidden bingo ball and the one with the largest number wins. The rest of the losers get a booby prize which they get by fishing into a bag & pick up a «crap» prize.
I ordered an Ostrich Burger & fries. Why Ostrich? It’s because Ostrich has the texture of beef & beefy verisimilitude of flavour but has the lightness of chicken for easier digestion. I got it medium rare under the suggestion of our fun, slightly dizzy waiter.
I opted for the Queen Mary which was melted cheddar cheese, grilled onions, bacon strips, 1000 Island dressing, lettuce & tomato slice. Not bad. The fries were sprinkled with a mildly spicy hot chile powder sort of like powdered Pico de Gallo found at Mexican markets. Interesting touch for Mary’s since they seem to be cuisine conventional.
However, I must say that Drag Bingo is the main draw at Hamburger Mary’s. The food is ok, but the entertainment value of Drag Bingo is wonderful. Go with a bunch of friends & you’ll enjoy about two hours of kitchy, drag, bitchy, witty entertainment as well as being able to win some prizes.
Way more fun than going to Church Bingo with some stern nuns presiding. Come to think of it, maybe the Sister of Perpetual Indulgence should be doing their version of Nun Bingo at Mary’s.
To top the cake with some frosting, as we were leaving the 7pm Bingo session, there was a group waiting for the 9pm which included two members of the West Hollywood High Cheerleaders with their big hair & big faux BOOBS. Another fantastic addition to the already riotous Drag Bingo. They let me take a picture of them in front of Mary’s. Great end to a great evening of fun with friends. You gotta go.

it’s only $ 20 for 8, 9, 10 rounds? i can’t remember how many but the rounds are all different from one another. (i almost won the «frank and beans» round.)
there are GREAT gifts if you do win.
typical greasy bar food — don’t expect anything fancy. service can be slow b/​c bingo nights are packed and busy. drinks are LA-​priced so pre-​game somewhere else. besides, you’re there for the bingo — everything else is a distraction.

Sunday night bingo for my birthday with 8 friends was so much fun.
We made a reservation, which i highly reccommend for a large group. It was packed!
$ 20 to play like 8 rounds — I lost count. So much fun and so competitve!
so of course i had a false bingo and I got spanked… then on the next call I WON!
Drinks were not that great and they gave us HOT glasses for out cold beer… but whatever!
I will def be back.

Legendary Bingo is so much fun! Cost is $ 20, which includes approx 10 games of bingo. The proceeds go to charity. The prices are great! Best of all, the entertainment value of drag queens hosting bingo is priceless. Make sure to get in line early and make a reservation because it’s popular!
Hamburger Mary’s is large, so it can fit a lot of people. The food is typical bar food. Drinks are good and fair priced. Service is a bit slow on Legendary Bingo night, but you can’t really blame them.

Eager to try something different and fun, I was super excited to try bingo at Hamburger Mary’s and dragged (ha! No pun intended) my friend out to try it with me. I must say it wasn’t as much fun as was promised in these Unilocal reviews!
I think most of the problems stemmed from where we were sitting. Originally, the host sat us at the bar but adamant on sitting at a table, we opted for a two top on the patio. We were told that we’d be able to play along perfectly fine from there but that was not the case. We could barely hear the announcer and they made NO effort to make sure we could hear them. I mean, not once did they even turn their heads in our direction and say a number. Quickly we realized that we were the only table on the patio playing bingo which made listening to the numbers even harder since we had to strain to hear over everyone else’s conversation. Not only could we not hear the numbers, but we couldn’t hear what game we were playing which made it even harder to follow. If i ever go again, ill be sure to get there at least 30 mins before game time and snag a table inside.
This wouldn’t have been such a big deal if I hadn’t paid $ 20 to get in the door. It’s cool that it goes to charity, but hell, I’m pretty close to a charity case myself these days and need to be very discerning about where my money goes.

Not your grandma’s bingo for sure! This is fast-​paced, randy, boozy drag queen bingo~ They aren’t kidding when they say they’ll spank you with a paddle for calling a false bingo. Crowd and host (ess) are equally LOUD and rowdy, so I would come back with some earplugs. Witnessed a chick at a neighboring table fall from her stool because she was piss drunk… and she had to be carried out~ Yes, it really is THAT nuts! I actually thought I smelled vomit but it turned out to be asiago from someone’s spinach dip.
Food is typical bar fare. I stuck to finger foods (half orders of fried mac and cheese balls & fried pickles were approx $ 5 each) that would not get in the way of my game. $ 20 bingo is available Wednesdays and Sundays.
Giant drinks… don’t order a double. Just don’t! A double (more like, quadruple) goose and soda cost $ 15.
The valet charged me $ 4 to self park in the side lot.

Last time I was here, I had the pleasure of yelling BINGO!, getting pelted by everyone’s crumpled up Bingo sheets, and then collecting one of the night’s fabulous prizes.
Once I saw my card had been filled up (this was the ‘blackout’ round, where you have to get every single square filled in), I screamed «BINGO!» and then a moment of terror set in. Terror? Why? Well, if you call a ‘false bingo,’ you get paddled on the ass by a drag queen. Hard. I’ve seen what they can do… They pack some heat! ;-)
After yelling Bingo!, I ran up to the front, they verified my card, and handed over a huge prize pack, with a ton of things stuffed into a Gelson’s refrigerated grocery bag. What was in my prize pack? Gift cards for a Free Haircut (two separate places), 60 min Massage, to the Coffee Bean, Sprinkles, for Indian Food, Thai Food, Trader Joe’s; Tea, Chocolate and Biscuits from a local store; a blanket; Italian food from Trader Joe’s; Tons of spice and seasoning samples from a spice shop; Seasons 1 – 5 of Californication on DVD. What a deal for $ 20 that goes to charity (our charity of the night was Walk MS)!
I’ve gone to Hamburger Mary’s a few times for DQ Bingo, and win-​or-​not, it’s always been a blast. The servers are super friendly and quick, the beers are huge, and it’s a unique and fun experience.

It costs $ 20 to enter, but it’s all for a good cause.
We arrived at 8:30pm to ensure we got a good seat (which we did) and ordered a couple of burgers for the table while we waited to start. The Bingo itself didn’t start til around 9:30pm as people continued to file in and pack the place.
Overall, the place filled up and the MC was a lively cast off from Ru Paul’s drag race. He was definitely entertaining and really kept the energy of the place up. They probably play around 20 games of Bingo of all different styles and they even managed to keep it entertaining.
It was a little expensive to do weekly for us, but definitely a fun night out. Would highly encourage drinking beforehand and during as well as it seemed like a fun event for that as well.
Note: The prize packs they give away are pretty good so if you win one, you definitely come out ahead of the $ 10. They also do a silent auction which offers up some cool prizes and a raffle.

So much fun! For $ 20, you get a ton of chances to win at BINGO. Lines can be long as it’s popular. Get there before it starts or make a reservation.
My favorite part was pelting the winners as they did their «victory lap» with my losing Bingo card… Hahaha.

The only thing that would’ve made this MORE fun is if me or one of my friend’s would’ve won some $$ but that aside, I have to say this was a flipping blast!
I also LOVE that the money goes to charity. how can you not play?! The night I was there it was going to the local animal shelter which was awesome! I also love that the prizes come from the charities and have a theme. They had some GREAT prizes too!
The vibe is a blast, the food is yummy and the drag queens are everyone’s BFF for the night! What more can you ask for? ;-)
PS Parking attached for a fee or the meters on SaMo Blvd are free after 6 — we had no problem finding one about a block down. Neighborhood is all permit though so don’t even bother looking there.

UHHHHHHHH-​MAZING!
Went for the Wednesday night Bingo with a group of 5 friends… didn’t have a reservation but went at around 6:30pm for the 7pm Bingo and they were able to find us a booth without a problem (though reservations are definitely preferred… and likely required for the 9pm Bingo because the line was down the block!)
I would not suggest getting food (it wasn’t that spectacular for the price) save your $$ for the $ 20 donation (to Bingo for a charity) and then just order a drink or two… I’ll tell you the drinks look expensive at first but they are large and heavy-​handed! You definitely won’t be disappointed!
It was hilarious! You must experience it at least once!

Who thought Bingo was only for your grandmas & grandpas??? Come to Hamburger Mary’s and you’d be surprised that Bingo is so damn fun for everyone, well, not all ages are permitted, as long as you’re 21, you’re good to enter!!!
First and foremost, thank you Katrina M for arranging this UYE and made a deal with Hamburger Mary’s just for us, crazy Unilocalers, we totally had a fun night and it wouldn’t be as great without your help in making reservation and such!!! Now onto the real review! =)
For $ 20 donation, you got to enjoy BINGO and having fun with your friends. Food was definitely a let-​down, but last night we weren’t here for that. About 25 of us were there for hell-​of-​a-​fun night of BINGO and how do we play it??? LOUDLY!!!
One person from our group won the big prize that included Ray-​Ban sunglasses, $ 100 Apple Gift Cert, one bottle of Grey Goose Vodka and many more stuff inside the basket. It’s so good to pelt people when they won each game, while they were running around the restaurant!!!
I definitely can’t wait to come back and do this once in awhile, it’s so much fun and brings up old memories when I was playing Bingo at home with friends!!! In this place, once you do DRAG, you could NEVER go back!!!

I don’t think I have played Bingo for at least a decade, and before last night, I had never played the version in which you have to mark your card in the shape of a rim job (the boxes directly around the free spot). Or a stripper pole («Pole Dancer»).
Why else is Legendary Bingo so much cooler than regular ol’ Bingo?
~Well for starters, you have a great Drag Queen (Belle Aire) calling the Bingo numbers.
~All the creative things that go along with calling the Bingo numbers (O-​68– I’ll owe you one)
~If you call out Bingo and you don’t have it, you get spanked. Yes we witnessed this; you know who you are. ;)
~When you do win, you have to run around so everyone can throw their crumpled up loser Bingo cards at you
~The prizes are interesting to say the least. My wife and I won several man on man porn DVDs in a bag full of condoms and lube. Even if we have absolutely no use for any of this, it was still hilarious to win it! It was especially hilarious when another girl won and our Bingo announcer made a joke about how all the lesbians are winning the porn… umm, yeah… she wasn’t a lesbian! Oh, we laughed so hard!
So now we have a buttload of condoms and lube (bun pun intended) and know a cool place to spend Wednesday nights! We were lucky enough to find street parking on a rainy night, and the rain was nice enough to stop for us when it was time to leave.
Bingo is $ 20 (wifey and I shared). Alcohol and food are available and the servers keep coming around, even amid the Bingo card throwing. If you are drinking a lot, you might want to have a friend play with you so you don’t miss an important box on your stripper pole or rim job!
I just feel sorry for whoever has to clean this place up when the night is over. The floor is *covered* in crumpled up Bingo cards and anything else people could think of throwing!
