Really nice lady. Very friendly. I feel bad leaving a neg review but unfortunately she ruined 2 out of 3 items I brought in. Thought I’d spread the word. Also her English is limited so it can be challenging trying to communicate specifics. The turnaround time is great. Prices are average, maybe slightly below average. Overall I wasted $ 140 at this business in her fees plus ruined designer clothes.

I have gotten a few things fixed here since Annie is my neighbor at work. Besides the fact that she is the sweetest woman in the world, Annie is quick and great at what she does. So far, she has fixed a bathing suit, tailored a few dresses and even made a scarf for me.
I also see the same customers going to actually make shirts for them or reconstruct clothing (add leather to a jean jacket, etc). People just love her. Her customers often come to my store to rave about Annie and her husband James.

James Tailoring is located on Sunset between La Cienega and Alta Loma — right next door to that celebrity jewelry place Kaviar and Kind. I love James the tailor — everything I’ve brought to him has turned out perfectly. He gets alterations done super fast, like in a day or two, and the prices are very fair. He doesn’t talk much (I think there’s a language barrier, not sure what it is though) but he’s always smiling and happy to see me. I had to take off one star for the fact that James smokes cigarettes, so once my clothes came back smelling like cigs. Oh well, at least the hems on my pants were perfect!
